Dry dock repairs of DCI ID GANGA

SURFACE PREPARATION AND PAINTING OF HULL EXTERIOR This dredger consists of one central pontoon with all machinery fitted in and 2 pontoons on each side connected with central pontoon through bolts. (Refer GA Drawing) *Side Pontoons need to be disconnected from central pontoon by unscrewing bolts and separated by crane for surface cleaning & painting of the side shell, and are to be assembled back with fitings. *Cost of paint to be quoted separately on budgetory estimation basis in "Annexure to SCH-IV" only. *Cost of paints quoted in "Annex to sch IV" is budgetory only and will not be considered for evaluation purpose. *painting areas described below are approximate.

i) Manhole doors of sea chest trunking to opened for inspection and same to be fitted back.

ii) Mud & muck to be removed from the sea chest and disposed ashore.

iii) All areas in sea chests to be cleaned, chipped / blasted, wire brushed and 2 coats of underwater paints to be applied. Rate for each Sea chest.

iv) Sea chest valves to be overhauled, repaired, lapped and pressure tested, and to show satisfactory operation.

(5) Pressure tsting to be carried out .

(6) Painting of tank surface. (each 53 sq mtr)

(B) Ballast water tank- capacity- 15 tons

(1) Removal & refit of manhole cover

(2) Entry permit/gas meter readings to be taken before entering tank

(3) Pump out water and removal of mud & muck

(4) Mopping & cleaning of tank surface. (14 sq mtr each)

(5) Pressure testing to be carried out after completion of repairs.

(6) Painting of tank surface.(each 35 sq mtr)

(C) Fuel Oil tank- capacity- 25 tons

(1) Removal & refit of manhole cover

(2) Entry permit/gas meter readings to be taken before entering tank

(3) Pump out oil and mud & muck

(4) Mopping & cleaning of tank surface. (each 10 sq mtr)

(5) Pressure testing to be carried out after completion of repairs.

(6) Painting of tank surface. (each 53 sq mtr)

(D) Service Oil tank- capacity- 2 tons

(1) Removal & refit of manhole cover

(2) Entry permit/gas meter readings to be taken before entering tank

(3) Mopping & cleaning of tank surface. (each 10 sq mtr)

(4) Pump out mud and muck

(5) Pressure testing to be carried out after completion of repairs.

(6) Painting of tank surface.

(E) Hydraulic Oil tank- capacity- 4.5 tons

(1) Removal & refit of manhole cover

(2) Entry permit/gas meter readings to be taken before entering tank

(3) Pump out oil and mud & muck

(4) Mopping & cleaning of tank surface.( 1.8 sq mtr)

(5) Pressure testing to be carried out after completion of repairs.

(6) Painting of tank surface. (15.3 sq mtr)

(F) Lube Oil tank- capacity- 0.6 tons

(1) Removal & refit of manhole cover

(2) Entry permit/gas meter readings to be taken before entering tank

(3) Pump out oil and mud & muck

(4) Mopping & cleaning of tank surface.(1 sq mtr)

(5) Pressure testing to be carried out after completion of repairs.

(6) Painting of tank surface.

5. WATER TIGHT DOORS

Water tight door, perished neoprene rubber packings (thickness: approx 30mm) to be renewed. Rate including cost of Rubber packing & Hose test etc.

6. Removal & renewal of shipside anodes (anodes AHW 084 Ship supply)

7. HATCHES a) All Hatches need to be chipped, cleaned and painted. Rubber packing(Thickness: 20 mm approx) of hatches to be renewed after inspection. After all repairs hatches to be hose tested for water tightness and defects if any to be rectified. Rate including cost of new Rubber packing & Hose test etc

NOTE: 1) Greasing of Anodes, staging and any other facility used for the above works will not be paid extra and are deemed to be included in quoted cost. 2) All openings to be covered with polythene sheets, canvas covers in Engine Room to ensure all the systems are well protected from grit/copper/zinc prior blasting. 3) Colour of all the coats shall be contrasting to enable differentiation between one coat and another. 4) Paints-yard supply on behalf of DCI. Painting scheme to be decided at the site / in the dock after inspection and as per recommendation of the Marine paint expert aranged by yard. 5) Yard shall rig up staging initially itself to inaccessible areas for taking up UTG, Blasting, One coat of primer, so that steel renewals shall be undertaken independently. 6) Echo sounder transducer to be covered by grease before painting and grease to be removed before flooding. 7) All Blasting works under water areas and hull exterior are to be ensured for completion initially itself, so that the same activity shall not interfere with the other repairs.Minimum 1 Ton or 1 cu.m will be paid towards mud cleaning, oil& bilge cleaning water pumping out per each location. 8)Minimum 1 Ton or 1 cu.m will be paid towards mud cleaning, oil& bilge cleaning water pumping out per each location. 9) No seperate cost for stagging, Pressure testing of the tanks shall be allowed, it will deemed to be included in above costs. 10) All drain plus of tanks to be cemented.

GROUP - C 1.STEEL PLATE RENEWAL Steel plates renewal includes associated beams, angles, stiffeners, etc., which are wasted and marked by Ship staff, Surveyor. The rate must be inclusive of staging with one coat of primer. All plates must conform to Lloyds’ Grade “A” Steel.

DREDGE PUMP SUCTION AND DISCHARGE PIPES Following dredge pump suction and discharge pipes in cutter ladder, pump room and deck to be Renewed by disconnecting of old pipes & taking to repair yard and renewed by fabricating new pipes with existing flange (ship supply) including removal and fitment of existing fittings and boxing back the pipes on board vessel (Including cost of inway jobs and staging if any).

a) Straight Pipes of ID 500 mm x SCH 40 or equivalent thickness( 16 mm)

b) Bend pipes (90° / 60° / 20° / 30°) of ID 500 mm x SCH 40 or equivalent thickness( 20 mm)

c) Fabrication & renewal of new MS Flanges for the above size pipes., including machining & making holes.

d)Cutting of old flange (ID 500 mm) , gauging and welding on new pipes

Make & supply and fit new air vent hoods, by removing old once from place, including gaskets.

NOTE: 1) AII the above areas to be U.T.gauged, ( cost as per Sr No 3 above) examined on docking of the vessel with in a week and freeze the scope of work in consultation with IRS, Ship staff, Attending supdt. 2) All welders of the yard engaged in work including those employed by sub-contractors must have valid certificates from IRS/LRS. Certificate copies shall be submitted to vessel supritendent immediately before commencement of work. 3) All plates used must be Lloyds Grade-A/B and serial number of plates with certificate must be submitted to master before fitment. All plates must have a coat of primer before fitment. 4) All eletrodes used and welding procedure must be approved by IRS/LRS. 5) Weldings to be tested by DP/MPI/X-RAY(extra cost applicable as per quote) as required by the surveyors. 6) Rates quoted for the above jobs must be inclusive of staging with necessary equipment and other preparations for doing each job. 7) Wherever required, cables and electrical equipments must be protected with tin sheets and asbestos cloth while gas cutting / welding. 8) Yard to provide a detailed action plan along with Bar Chart with the quote for- a. Steel grade b.Renewals/repairs to all equipment c) No wastage/bending alowance will be given on Steel renewals. 9) Steel renewals are to be clearly mentioned in Workdone Certitificate (i.e. Size of the plate renewal (Length, width & thickness), Number of plates renewed and Location of renewal etc. Accordingly, Master/CEO & Attending Supdt. Certification to be obtained. Lumpsum quatities (for example:. 500 kgs or 2 tons renewed, as lumpsum not allowed) will not be considered and such claims will not be accepted. Hence, proper care may be taken while preparing workdone certificates. 10) Minimum of 10 kgs / Location will be considered. For minimum allowance also the size of the plate, number of plates and location where renewed to be specified clearly in the Workdone certificates, failing which such claims will not be considered. 11) For pit build up of size upto 50x50 mm will only be considered as pits. And size beyond 50x50 mm will be treated as weld building. Accordingly, weld build up rate/kg will be considered for settlement of claims.

GROUP - D 1. SPUD BRACKETS & SHEAVES Remove the sheaves from blocks by dismentling from place. Complete sheave block to be dismentle, overhauled by renewing bushes & pins, and fit back in place and show satisfactory trials. Connected grease lines have to be opened from place , cleaned for free flow & fit back in place. (Pin & bushes ship supply) In case of non availbility of Pins & Bushes, same to be supplieid by Yard.

(i) Hoisting Clamp Pulleys (of working spud & hoisting spud) - ( size 26X dia 1442X1626) to be removed from position and overhauling to be carried out. Check for any wear and tear on the BUSH (ship supply, size ø200/220,L/300) and renew if wear found more than permissable limit. In case of non availbility of Pins & Bushes, same to be supplieid by Yard.

(ii) Swing Wire Sheave(Tumbler Block) : 02 NOS to be removed from position and overhauling to be carried out. Check for any wear and tear on the BUSH (ship supply, size ø190/250, L/300) and renew if wear found more than permissable limit. In case of non availbility of Pins & Bushes, same to be supplieid by Yard.

2. HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS

(i) Spud tilting bracket hydraulic cylinder (Φ190 X 1900 mm) to be overhauled completely with new seals. If required seals have to be procured by yard on cost plus basis. After satisfactory Pressure testing cylinder to be fitted in place & satisfactory trials to be shown.

(ii) Spud carriage hydraulic cylinder (Φ190 X 1900 mm) to be overhauled completely with new seals. If required seals have to be procured by yard on cost plus basis. After satisfactory Pressure testing cylinder to be fitted in place & satisfactory trials to be shown.

(iii) Spud lifting hydraulic cylinder (Φ190 X 2100 mm) to be overhauled completely with new seals. If required seals have to be procured by yard on cost plus basis. After satisfactory Pressure testing cylinder to be fitted in place & satisfactory trials to be shown.

3. CUTTER LADDER

(i) Cutter ladder making noice, while operating. Cutter ladder pin and bush to be dismentled and assembled with ship supplied spares. Centre line to be checked and aligned properly after completion of work. Inspection of ladder bearings, lubrication points, hydraulic lines, or structural supports to be thoroughly checked and neessary repairs to be taken up as required to restore the cutter ladder to optimal working condition Approx dimension Pins: dia:103mm, Length:890mm , Qty 2 Nos. Bushes: OD: 141.3mm, ID: 103mm, L: 224 mm, Qty: 6 Nos. In case of non availbility of Pins & Bushes, same to be supplieid by Yard.

4. Suction bellow: Suction bellow to be renewed with new ship supplied bellow

5. Pulley

(1) Ladder lifting pulley to be renewed.

(2) Anchor lifting pulley to be renewed.

NOTE: 1) All above shall be quoted considering assembling back with new spares (ship supply, if not mentioned). 2) All rates are inclusive of staging and other preparatory works as required to carry out the job. 3)OEM Service Engineer to be arranged by Yard, if required. 4) If yard has to supply pin & bushes, for the above works, rate for pin& bush will be considered as per Group H/ cost plus basis (as applicable).

GROUP - E ENGINE ROOM MACHINERIES Overhauling of DREDGE PUMP & its THRUST block . Renewal of defective parts with ship supply spares. Recording clearances. Alignment to be checked and report to be submitted. Boxing back with ship supply spares.Subsequent to overhaul same to be boxed back, tested and commissioned to the satisfaction of ship staff. job involves followings:

(i) removal & refitment of distance piece

(ii) removal & refittment of suction cover

(iii) removal & refittment of wear plates

(iv) removal & refittment of flushing chamber and sealing pot with chrome bush

Box coolers are to be disconnected and removed from the poistion and taken out from the vessel to work shop. The end covers of each cooler has to be opened,after mechanically cleaning the above coolers. Cooler tubes nest is to be cleaned thoroughly. The leaky tubes if any, to plugged with copper plug. Coolers to be boxed with the new O rings, joints etc.The coolers are to be brought back to the ship after application of one coat of paint on covers and fitted back in poistion with all connections. Repair/renewal extra. Box Cooler Make: WEKA quoted Cost should include satisfactory pressure test.

Cutter flushing pump to be renewed with ship supplied new pump and motor. Necessary foundation and pipeline modification to be done prior fitting the pump. Satisfactory trial to be shown to ship staff. Pump ship supply. Cost including cleaning and painting of foundation plates and proper alignment.

ENGINE OVERHAULING

(i) Dredge pump engine (Make: Cummins, Model: KTA 38 M2/6CTA-8.3D(M)): Presently running hours is approx 13994 hrs. Complete engine overhaul to be carried out through OEM In case of requirement of any consumables/spares, same to be procured through OEM. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid. In case the top plate of the pontoon has to be cut for assess same to be included in the quote as off-fair and refit.

(i) Hydraulic engine: (Make: Cummins, Model: KTA 19 M3) Presently running hours is approx 14131 Hrs. Complete engine overhaul to be carried out through OEM In case of requirement of any consumables/spares, same to be procured through OEM. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid.

(iv) Main DG set (Port): Make: Jackson (Cummins) JSPF-35X Running hrs: 13570hrs. Engine overhaul to be carried out along with spares through OEM In case of requirement of any consumables/spares, same to be procured through OEM. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid.

(iv) Main DG set: Make: Simpsons S433 / Integrated Electric Running hrs: 10700hrs. Complete engine overhaul to be carried out along with spares through OEM. In case of requirement of any consumables/spares, same to be procured through OEM. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid. OEM cost plus 10% mark up will be paid.

Alternator overhauling: (make: Intigrated electric company Ltd., Capacity: 32.5 KVA, Class/insulation: IP-23. Alternator making sound and spark while running. Complete alternator need to be overhauled. Cleaning, warnishing and baking to be done. F class insulation to be applied and insulation to be improved. After assembling back, satisfactory running trials to be shown.

GROUP-F VALVES AND PIPELINES RENEWAL OF F/W, S/W PIPELINE AND SCUPPER / SANITARY LINES. a) At various places seamless steel Sch.40 pipes to be renewed as per requirement. (Including labour, cost of pipe and all consumables) (Only to have rates of pipe renewals in case of any requirement)

a) Grease Lines: All grease line to be checked, clear blocks, blow through and make clean for operational. SIZE upto 20MM

S/W. VALVES: Disconnect valve complete from the line & transport to workshop. Valve lids to be opened, valve bonnet to be dismantled, clean all interior surfaces by scrapping and wire brushing. Apply epoxy coating. Grind valve seat and disc. Renew packings and gaskets. Valves to be put up for inspection to IRS in open condition. Valve outside to be chipped scrapped and painted with epoxy paint. Valves to be pressure tested and shown to shipstaff / IRS. Bolts, nuts, packing yard supply. ( Paint ship supply )

GROUP-G: ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT: OVERHAULING OF ELECTRICAL MOTORS:- Following motors to be removed from position, dismentled, cleaned, overhaul with new bearings(yard supply),and insulation report to be submitted. If required heating, varnishing and baking to improve insulation. Assemble back and refit in place by alignment with pump. Foundation of motor to be chipped, cleaned and painted, prior installation. Quoted cost must be inclusive of cost of bearings etc.

(1) Thrust block cooling pump motor - 0.75 KW

(2) Dirty Oil transfer pump motor - 0.75 KW

(3) Fuel oil transfer pump motor - 0.75 KW

(4) Air compressor motor- 0.75 KW

(5) Bildge pump motor - 3.7 KW

(6) Cutter head seal cooling pump motor - 3.7 KW

(7) Greasing motor - 0.09 KW

(8) Bildge transfr pump motor- 0.09 KW

(9) blower motor- 1 KW

Joystick (For hydraulic operation) to be renewed with yard supply new joysticks

NOTE: 1) All above elements shall be quoted considering assembling back with new spares / dismantled parts and to show satisfactory trials as applicable in each case above. 2) All rates quoted should be inclusive of staging and other preparations required to carry out the work.

GROUP - H MISCELLANEOPUS & COST PLUS JOBS

The items which are not covered in any of the above work description are to be carryout on “cost plus” basis for which payment will be made as under, subject to the condition that the overall cost claimed is considered reasonable by the Corporation. The Corporation reserves the right to inspect tenders, records to satisfy itself about the reasonableness of the claim:

a) Cost of labour inclusive of all overheads etc., directly employed on the work must be reflected in the Work Done Certificate and obtain certification from Master or CEO or attending supritendent of Vessel.

i) Skilled labour per man-day of 8 Hrs. (normal time) shift.

ii) Unskilled labour per man-day of 8 Hrs. (normal time) shift.

b) Material procurements for repairs (all supportig vouchers to be submitted along with the invoice). All materials such as Spares, stores etc. directly procured for completion of works must be reflected in the Work Done Certificate and obtain certification from Master or CEO of Vessel.

c)Cost of material incorporated in the work as reflected in the Work Done Certificate (in case of material purchase of above Rs. 10,000/- value made, Original Passed Invoice or Proof of Payment or yard Certified Copy of Bill to be submitted.

d) Extra 10% on actual material cost (without GST) only will be paid towards Overhead Handling/ Transportation and other incidental charges etc.

Fire extinguishers need to be serviced from authorized service providers. Necessary servicing certificate to be issued to ship. (ii) 6 Kg DCP fire extinguisher

New commode to be installed in toilet room along with necessary pipeline connections.

Good quality PVC doors to be installed in the toilet room. Approx size: 6 ft X 2.5 ft.

Manufacture & supply of pins, shafts, bushes, sleeves, wear rings, cooler covers etc. (Rate per kg of finished product to be quoted) Note : Batch quantity weight will be considered subject minimum of 1 Kg / piece for the batch will be paid Note: All dry dock work is to be carried out to the satisfaction of ship staff/ IRS/ IWT/Local registering authority. Necessary fees towards the same will be reimbursed at actuals
