SPECIAL REPAIR FOR RENEWAL OF OLD EXISTING FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM AT NCB AND NOFRA UNDER GE (U-II) VISAKHAPATNAM

Taking up old existing CI/MS water mains (including all fittings) of size 150mm dia, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in any type soil for laying pipes etc, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for M.S. ERW Pipe plain end as per IS:1239 Part-1 (2004), nominal bore 150 mm dia, heavy (C class) including cutting, welding and joining etc as per site requirement, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The pipes laid underground buried in the soil shall have protection against corrosion by means of coating & wrapping as per IS: 10221 and above ground pipes shall be coated with one coat of red oxide primer and 2 (two) coats of synthetic enamel of 'Fire Red' colour and the cost of the same shall deemed to be inclusive in the quoted rates and nothing extra shall be applicable on this account. (ii) The quoted rates shall deemed to be inclusive of necessary MS Flanges and flange joints wherever required as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and nothing extra shall be applicable on this account.

Material and labour for Yard hydrant Post / Stand Post 80mm Dia GI / MS / Carbon steel both flanged type 1.5m Height coated with one coat of red oxide primer and 2 (two) coats of synthetic enamel of 'Fire Red' colour complete including taking down of old existing Yard hydrant Post, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Stainless steel Single Headed Oblique Type Hydrant Valve (Type 'A') with Cast Iron operating wheel, Inlet 80mm & Outlet 63mm Instantaneous, IS:5290, ABS Blank Cap complete including taking down of old existing hydrant valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix Gun metal fire brigade inlet connection (suction collecting head) consisting of four nos 63mm dia instantaneous type male coupling with built in check valves and 150mm dia sluice valve (one no 150mm dia NRV), and 150mm dia flanged outlet complete with all accessories, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Fire Hose Box fabricated from 14 gauge CR sheet with double door, with full front glass inspection window and locking arrangement (Common Key Lock), duly painted with PO Red colour outside and white colour from inside (two coats of synthetic enamel paint), size 30"X24"X10", 3mm thick Acrylic glass, (Suitable to accommodate 2 lengths of 15mtr, Hoses & 1 no. branch pipe with Nozzle) including taking down of old existing Hose box, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Framed work with Fe 410 -W (Gde E- 250) quality A as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces, etc., complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering. Doors, etc. to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (exclusive of steel sheeting or other covering, running rails and guides) and hanging; also fastening and fixing including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour over a coat of red oxide primer, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
