| 1.01 | Maintenance Dredging on in-situ basis by deploying the Trailor Suction Hopper Dredger in the areas of Outer Approach Channel, Lagoon (the drawing of the Dredging area enclosed), including Oil Dock Arm, Turning Circle, and in front of K.I.O. Berth (Extension Lagoon). The areas required to be dredged from the existing levels to their minimum designed depths as detailed below. During the course of Dredging if any hard strata encountered, the Dredging Contractor has to deploy Cutter suction dredgers/Bucket Ladder Dredgers or any suitable equipment to clear these hard patches. upto a depth of (-) 8.00 mCD at B.No. 1, and in front of B.No.1 upto Centre Line of O.A.C, (-)12.00 mCD at B.No. 2, (-) 11.00 mCD at B.Nos. 3, (-) 10.50 mCD at B. No. 4 to 7 in the ODA, & 14 (E), (-) 14.00 mCD at B. No. 8 & 12 (-) 12.50 mCD at Berth No. 9, (-) 15.10 mCD at Berth Nos. 14 (W), 15, 16 , 10, 11, & 13.
The outer approach channel is of total length 7500 mts. (towards sea which depends upon the shifting of the (-) 15.40 m contour due to siltation).
Maintenance dredging of all these areas involves dredging in all types of soil comprising of fine silt, sand, hard/ stiff clay, any hard strata encountered due to settlement of fine silt, sand etc. The material so dredged is to be transported and dumped at the Designated dumping ground located at a distance of 7.00 Kms. towards North-west direction from the intersection point of the outer approach channel with (-) 15.40 mtrs. contour line ( the drawing of the dumping ground enclosed). including Mobilisation & De-mobilisation charges for TSHD including Survey launch, routine boat and hire charges of all plant & equipment, cost of labour, materials and consumables etc. complete for the satisfaction completion of the Dredging work.

| 1.02 | Dredging on In-situ Basis by using any special dredging equipment viz., Grab/ Cutter/ Bucket/Plough etc. with allied equipments to dredge/clear the area within 0 to 7 mts. from the berth face whenever the berth is vacant without affecting the port operations from the existing levels in all types of soils comprising of sand, silt deposits of spillage of iron ore / mines, fallen wooden logs, tyres, fenders, boulders, rock /concrete pieces, debries, steel plates, chains, wire ropes, cement bags, tarpaulins, etc.
upto a depth of (-) 8.00 mCD at B.No. 1, and in front of B.No.1 upto Centre Line of O.A.C, (-)12.00 mCD at B.No. 2, (-) 11.00 mCD at B.Nos. 3, (-) 10.50 mCD at B. No. 4 to 7 in the ODA, & 14 (E), (-) 14.00 mCD at B. No. 8 & 12 (-) 12.50 mCD at Berth No. 9, (-) 15.10 mCD at Berth Nos. 14 (W), 15, 16 , 10, 11, & 13. without damaging the existing structures, fenders etc. and dumping the dredged material at deeper areas away from the berth face and the same shall be dredged /cleared simultaneously by TSHD and dumped at the same designated dumping ground, at a distance about 7.00 K.M towards North-west direction from the intersection point of (-) 15.40 mtrs. Contour in the Centre line of the Outer Approach Channel including Mobilisation & De-mobilisation charges for TSHD including Survey launch, routine boat and hire charges of all plant & equipment, cost of labour, materials and consumables etc., and transporting and dumping the dredged material in the designated dumping ground.
