CONSTRUCTIONAL anti-termite treatment and creating a chemical

a) Treatment of the soil below the raft or any type of foundation -
Before laying the PCC, the compact and leveled soil shall be
treated at 5 liters per sqm. OR In case of soils/ sand filled above
the raft, the treatment at 5 liters per sqm shall be carried out on the
top surface of filled soil/ sand.
b) Treatment of the soil along the retaining wall/plinth beam - The
soil retained by the walls (soil coming in contact with the retaining
wall/plinth beam) shall be treated at the rate of 7.5 liters per sqm of
the vertical surface in full depth.
c) Treatment of soil along the external perimeter of the building -
After the building is complete, the earth along the external
perimeter of the building shall be rodded at intervals of 150 mm and
to a depth of 300 mm. The rods should be moved backward and
forward, parallel to the wall to break up the earth and emulsion
poured along the wall at the rate of 7.5 liters per square meter of
vertical surfaces.
d) Top surface of the plinth filling including damp proof courses at
the rate of 5 liter/sqm of internal plinth area (if required)( As per
IS:6313 Part II-2013). For any area without a basement, treatment
shall be done as per IS:6313 Part-II-2013.
e) Treatment of soil surrounding pipes, wastes, and conduits -
When pipes, wastes, and conduits enter the soil inside the area of
the foundation, soil surrounding the point of entry shall be loosened
around each of such pipe, waste or conduits for a distance of
150mm and up to a depth of 75 mm before the treatment is
commenced. When they enter the soil external to the foundation,
they shall be similarly treatment for a distance of 300 mm, unless
they stand clear of the walls of the building are about 75 mm.

an approved water-proofing agency of an approved manufacturer.

be inclusive of testing of elements and system before and after
waterproofing application.

Providing and applying Two-part acrylic polymer modified
cementitious elastomeric waterproof coating of approved make with
minimum 1.5mm thickness DFT having minimum 1 N/mm2 tensile
strength, and shall cover approx 2.2 kg/sqm per mm of thickness.
The coating shall have an elongation of a minimum of 80% when
tested as per ASTM D 412 resisting 5 bars hydrostatic pressure as
per DIN 1048 and having crack bridging ability of not less than
mm. Thorough surface preparation by mechanical means to level
and plain the surface of walls and floors of the application areas. All
cracks and crevices shall be filled using polymer mortar and made
good to receive waterproofing coating treatment The coating shall
cover all the application area and shall also be applied over the
vertical walls for a minimum 300mm height above the floor in two or
more coats to achieve required thickness. The periphery of the floor
shall be additionally reinforced with an extra third coat of the
coating with a fiber band (glass fiber mesh of minimum 80 gsm)
sandwiched between the first and the second coat, which shall also
done around protrusions (pipes) meant for plumbing purpose. The
last coat (second/ third coat) when wet, shall be sprinkled with
clean and washed sand, to facilitate the floor screed or plaster.
Actual consumption of cementitiious elastomeric acrylic material
should not be less than the theoritical consumption prescribed by
the manufacturer in their latest standard published literature or shall
be more as mentioned in the item to achieve desired mentioned
minimum thickness.
Pipes being fixed for plumbing shall be fixed in holes that are
mechanically core cut, more than the diameter of the pipes. Pipes
shall be fixed by grouting the annular space with non-shrink
cementitious grout of proprietary make. Before grouting, the pipes
shall be wrapped with a two-way self-adhesive tape at least 50mm
wide and then grouted to fill in the grout, ensuring total watertight
plumbing fittings. The contractor shall submit a methodology
statement with all details in illustrative sketch form and get approval
from the Engineer-in-charge. Application shall be carried out by the
approved applicator of manufacture and as per recommended by
the manufacturer. The actual applied area on the floor & wall shall
be measured for payment. Cost includes all material (for surface
preparation, coating, and hole packing), labour, T&P, and wastage
involved as mentioned in the item.
25 36 Lightweight AAC bats - filling in sunken slab Cum 4,097.62 Rupees Four Thousand and
Providing and filling lightweight AAC bats (of size 40-60 mm) with Ninety Seven and Paise Sixty

24 hours and junctions of pipes passing through walls, and slabs
are well grouted and sealed.
This shall be tested by ponding water for the required depth and
maintaining it for 72 hours. (Rate includes the cost of AAC bats,
cement mortar, top screed, and labour charges for working at all
levels, leads, and heights). For payment, the area of the sunken
slab and the depth of filling including the thickness of the screed
shall be measured.

execution, these bricks are not to be used for construction.
5) The contractor must use only potable water, which shall be treated with
a softening plant for all construction activity i.e., mortar preparation,
mixing, soaking, curing, etc. for exposed quality brickwork.
6) Mock-up shall be prepared for review and approval using an approved
loose sample of brick. Work shall be carried out as per approved sample
and Mock-up. Architects have the right to reject the executed masonry
work, if not as per the approved sample and mock-up.
7) After execution, if any effloresce is found, the exposed surface is to be
cleaned with suitable chemicals as per the manufacturer's specification
and after approval of the Engineer in charge.
8) Pointing work in exposed brickwork shall be carried out with
cementitious grout of approved make and shade.
9) The gap between exposed masonry work and exposed concrete work
(i.e. masonry and beam, column, slab, etc) shall be filled (both sides) with
