SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROAD AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS AT AF STN SAMANA UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO 1

M&L for Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism over old black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Bituminous premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes : (i) The actual requirement of binder shall be as per the job mix formula and test specified. However quantity from the mix formula found more than specified 5.5% same will be provided with no extra cost to the Govt. In case binder content found to be less than 5.5% as per mix formula as specified in Schedule 'A' shall be adusted @ the rate of 51.30/KG for the less quanity of bitumen used. The quantity of 5.5 % mentioned is exclusive of any wastage and no wastage shall be taken onto account for the purpose of above adjustment. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc, rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and over a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate 5 kg per 10 Sqm by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Providing and applying 2 mm thick road marking paint (retro-reflective with glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm) of approved shade / colour (confirming to BS 3262:1989) using hot thermoplastic material by fully / semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications.

S&F in repair road safety convex mirror made up of polycarbonate reflective with hood for road turning, intersection, curves, ‘T’ junction, etc, unbreakable & strong, mounted on and body made of ABS / Fiber / Plastic of size 100 cm dia fixed over & including 80 mm bore MS pipe of 2.1 Metre length duly powder coated, fixed with adjustable clamp, pole fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 450x450x450mm deep including necessary, excavation & earthwork, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge Notes : (i) A mild steel base plate of size 250mm x 250mm x 3mm shall be welded at bottom of pole. (ii) All steel & iron surfaces other than powder coated shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer.

S&F in replacement Speed bumps of size 500mmx375mmx50mm made of sturdy plastice (ABS) high resistance to severe impact and harsh weather conditions with dovetail interlocking type sub units made to bind prefectly into one firm bump having pre-coloured material (black/yellow) and UV stablizers to keep them prepetually colourful studded with with reflectors on either side fixed on road surface with & including nails / screws / bolts / polymer / epoxy adhesive etc all as per manufacturer’s instructions including filling up hollow portion of bumps with & including PCC 1:2:4 type B0 (using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregate) complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken speed bumps of any type.

S&F in repair raised reflective road studs (Cat eye), manufactured with high impact resistant ABS body of size 100mm x 100m x25mm two side fitted with polycabonate micro prismatic reflector element on two sides, fixed over road surface with epoxy adhesive as per manufactureres instructions all as specified and as diredted. etc including taking down of old cat eyes, complete all as specified and as directed .
