Material and labour for earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) in foundation trenches or drains in any type of soil or all kind of soil (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil, within a lead of 50 m complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge

(ii) Measurements of earth brought shall be admissible on the basis of levels taken before filling and those after filling duly compacted. (iii) For payment purpose, volume of filling after deduction of 5% shall be considered.

Material and labour for 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Water Bound Macadam in two layers of 75mm thick each, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 mm to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 mm to 20mm size), with granite, trap or basalt spread and consolidated to gradient and camber rolled with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller as required complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Material and Labour for Roughening surfaces of old concrete floor surface by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust, etc including brushing with neat cement slurry with 3.00 Kg of cement per Sqm surface area complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Material and Labour for 150mm thick quality Cement concrete work as in pavement/ hard-standing of flexural strength 40 kg/per square centimetre (Lower control limit) in field using minimum cement content as per design mix but not less than 400 kg of OPC cement per cubic metre with using crushed graded stone aggregates, combined grading of coursed and fine aggregate as per MORTH table 600-3 required as per design mix (as per IRC 5th revision) mixed with and including in base as specified including 150 micron polythene film spread with minimum 15cm side and ends lap as per IS-2058 and laid over and including a layer of sand 20mm thick loose thickness along with use and waste of side formwork (Steel channel), spread, consolidation, finishing clean, cutting and belt without using extra cement and laid in bays with gradient and camber including compacted/finished by using mechanical paver including brooming and cost of testing to establish quality control and cured with curing compound etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: (a) The cost of the curing compound, 150 micron polythene film and sand layer is deemed to be included in the quoted rate for this item. (b) Please also note that cracks as found (if any) in old surface of existing PCC Road (Except Demolished portion/Section of PCC Road as catered under Srl item No -04 of BOQ) shall be made good by cutting out cracks to V-section including cleaning out & well grouting with cement & sand mortar slurry (1:3) including matching of joints. Tenderers are requested to cater this aspect/activity & financial effect shall also deemed to be included in the quoted rates for this item. No claim shall be tenable on this account at the belated stage. (c) Please note that test of (K) value for subgrade shall be carried out by the contractor before commencemnt of the work on the site. Testing charges shall be borne by the contracor. Further in case of requirement of thickness of PQC worked to be more than 150mm due to (K) value testing. Then the same shall be provided on the site & accordingly commulative Qty for this item (measured & paid in Cum) shall be increased/paid without any extra cost to the Deptt. Tenderers are requested to cater this aspect/activity, which shall deemed to included in the quoted rates for this item. No claim shall be tenable on this account at the belated stage.
Material and Labour for Forming Construction joint of size 30mm deep x 10mm wide (using diamond cutter) providing polythene backup rod 12mm dia and sealed with polyurethane sealant of Grade 'FB' (min depth of sealant 12mm) complying with BS 5212, BS 4254, and EN 14187-5: 2003, priming the sides min MAF ± 30% with ten years performance guarantee and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Reinforced cement concrete pipes for size 600mm bore dia of pipe (Class NP-2) confirming to IS-458-2003 as laid in trenches and jointed complete with collars including fittings, special and testing complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (a) The rates include for laying pipes level or to fall in trenches, etc. on concrete bed or directly on hard ground as indicated and making joints and testing as specified. (b) The pipes shall be measured net as fixed between the fittings and specials, if any, without any allowance for cutting and waste.
