Excavation in earthwork in hilly area in all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. The recovery @ Rs. 300.00 per cubic metre for 76.70 cubic metre useful stones shall be made from the contractor on pro-rata basis in each running bill

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm (four millimetre) diametre G.I. wire conforming to IS: 280 and IS: 4826 in 100mm x 100mm (one hundred millimetre into one hundred millimetre) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10% (ten percent) extra for laps and joints laid with stones boulders weighting not less than 25 Kg. (twenty five kilogram) each as per drawing and technical specifications clause 1301 complete within all leads, lifts, carriage of material and other incidentials, as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates by manual means of 53 mm (fifty three millimetre ) to 22.4 mm (twenty two point four millimetre) sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 kN (eighty-hundred kilo newton) static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/ binding materials to fillup the interstics of coarse aggregate watering and compacting to the required density Grading-3 (three) as per technical specification clause 405 complete within all leads, lifts, carriage of material and other incidentials charges, as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and applying priming coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-I) at the rate of 0.70 -1.00 kg (zero point seven zero - one point zero kilogram) per square metre on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface with mechanical broom as per technical specification clause 502 including hauling of material with in all leads and lifts by all modes of transportation, as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
