Design of the earth mat system for the newly installed yard equipments in the existing 110 kV substation as per the equipment lay out attached. Any liaison work with utility suppliers/statutory bodies if required shall be under the scope of the contractor
Supply of all materials and casting of earth pits using 1200 X1200 X 12 mm CI plate electrodes as per IS 3043-1987 and drawing attached. This work includes excavation, backfilling, filling of charcoal and salt of required quantity has to be put in the pit. Providing necessary frame around the pit, providing CI pit cover, supply & installation of funnel for watering, measurement of earth pit resistance and painting & numbering as per the scope of the work. The value of earth resistance of the earth pit to be taken before connecting to the earth grid in presence of concerned engineer supervising the work. The earth pit CI cover should be at a height of 200 mm from the ground. The required GI strip shall be supplied by KMML. The earthing of new yard equipments and all accessories shall be done as per standards. All other materials required for the work shall be supplied by the contractor. All civil works related to casting of earth pit shall be carried out by the contractor. Cement shall be supplied by KMML.
Laying and clamping of GI earth strips 75/65/40X10/8/6 mm along trenches including excavation (depth as per design), backfilling of the trench & connect to the earth pit/earth grid. Welded joints shall be covered with jute & bitumen. 75/65/40X10/8/6 mm GI earth strip shall be supplied by KMML. All other materials required shall be supplied by the contractor. The area shall be refilled and leveled after laying earth strips.
Removing the surface gravel for developing the earth electrode and refilling the same after earth pit tracing work.
Devoloping the burried earth electrode by extending the civil masonary work, providing cast iron covers, supply & installation of funnel for watering, painting and numbering etc. Measuremnt of earth pit resistance when connected to grid as well as individually to be done.
Preparation of electrical drawings and approval from electrical inspectorate for new installation as per scope of work.
