Earth work in embankment by Tractor-trailer carriage in locally available ordinary soil excluding rocky soil free from roots & vegetation and filling in uniform layers not exceeding 22 cm. thick including ploughing or roughening or benching the seats, removing all debries, breaking clods up to 2.5 cm cube, dressing as per design section including payment of forest royalty if any, etc. complete as directed. (10% deduction will be made from the section measured quantities of the completed and compacted earth work on account of shrinkage).

Compacting Original Ground (i) Compacting original ground supporting embankment Loosening, levelling and compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment , scarified to a depth of 150mm, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given Table 300.1& 300.2 for embankment construction as per Technical specification clause 301.4.1

Earth work in embankment by Tractor carraige in ordinary/normal soil excluding sandy and rocky soil free from roots & vegetation and stacking in regular measurable stacks at suitable places including clearing and levelling the stacking site, breaking clods up to 2.5cm cube, payment of forest royalty if any, etc. ( 12.50 % deduction will be made from measured quantities on account of shrinkage) For initial Lead beyond 1/2 Km and upto 2.00 km for all lifts.

Spreading of earth stacks over the crest and slope of embankment and places as directed in uniform layer of 22 cm. thick including breaking clods, dressing, ramming etc. complete where necessary including dressing the embankment before complete as directed.

Earthwork in bank trimming to the designed section /slope including removing the soils at a safe distance, complete as directed.

Supply of Pre stressed Cement Concrete (PSC) Porcupine members of size 0.10m X 0.10mX 3.00m with M-40 grade of cement concrete with graded broken course aggregates up to 12mm size down and reinforced with 4 Nos. of 4 mm dia high tensile steel wire cable at four corners with necessary cover and 4mm high tensile stirrups at 250mm C/C, in conformity with IS-6403 and stressed to required strength not exceeding 9.18 N/mm, holes of 16 mm dia at 50 cm inside from both ends in the same face and in either face of post another 2 Nos. of holes of size 16 mm dia at 65mm inside from both ends including properly curing for 14 (fourteen) days and carriage of porcupine members from factory to the stack yard within a distance up to 100 Km complete as directed.

Carriage of Porcupine members by 40 HP Tractor -trailor including local carriage of porcupine members from stack yard to loading site up to a lead of 150m, loading , un loading at river bank near work site etc. complete as directed. (For lead beyond 2 KM and up to 5.00 Km and for all lift).

Labour charge for launching of R.C.C. / PSC Porcupine including carriage of R.C.C./ PSC porcupine members of size 0.10m × 0.10m × 3.00m from the stack yard to the place of launching ,erection of the Porcupine with 6 (six) members properly, supply & fitting/fixing with 12 mm dia 25 Cm long M.S. Nuts and bolts and launching the porcupine properly as directed. (Lead up to 150 m). a) Launching with boat

Labour charge for launching of R.C.C. / PSC Porcupine including carriage of R.C.C./ PSC porcupine members of size 0.10m × 0.10m × 3.00m from the stack yard to the place of launching ,erection of the Porcupine with 6 (six) members properly, supply & fitting/fixing with 12 mm dia 25 Cm long M.S. Nuts and bolts and launching the porcupine properly as directed. (Lead up to 150 m). b) Launching without boat

Construction of whole Bholuka Bamboo Screen with matured Bholuka Bamboo stacks 75mm to 100mm dia, placed at 30 cm clear apart( i.e. 40 cm C/C) driven 4.00 m to 4.50m below ground and 3.0m to 3.50m above ground with hydraulic driving equipments including hire charge of equipment, cost of P.O.L. etc. and providing with 1 (one) row of horizontal half Jati bamboo kamies tied with galvanized wire of 16 G to 18 G etc complete as directed. (Using Bhaluka Bamboo at the rate of 240.00 nos/ Rm & Jati Bamboo at the rate of 9.60 nos / Rm).

Supply of Empty cement bags including of all taxes.

Labour charge for laying and pitching earth filled cement bags including excavation and borrowing earth, breaking clods, filling in bags and supplying and stitching the mouth with jute sutli, etc. complete as directed. (cement bags will be supplied by the department free of cost). For borrowing earth from a distance up to 30m.

Supplying and Construction of bamboo cribs fabricated out in pyramid shape out of matured Bholuka bamboo 75mm to 100mm dia complete with all the branches and foliages with apex point at 7.00m from the bottom. At 0.60 m above the base of 1st row of horizontal stiffeners of size 4.00m x 3.00m are to be provided along with 2 Nos. of cross struts. A second set of horizontal stiffeners along with cross stiffeners similar to the 1st set are provided at height of 4.00m from the bottom. One set of cross bracing are to be provided in each face in between the 1st and 2nd horizontal stiffeners. All the stiffeners and inclined members are to be projected 0.30m beyond the longitudinal members. All the points are to be pinned with 22 cm long patent nails and protruding end is to be bent properly to have a firm grip and the apex point is also to be clustered with 8 G. wire. All the members are to be punched with chisel or auger. The cribs are to be weighted with 25 Nos. of earth filled polythene empty cement bags in all corners and middle of 1st and 2nd row of horizontal stiffeners of the cribs, tied firmly with 8 G galvanized wire complete as directed. (Polythene bags, 8G. wire, bamboo pegs , wire rope, U-Bolt etc. will be supplied by the department free of cost). (Using Bhaluka Bamboo at the rate of 14.00 nos / Rm) Construction of Crib
