Carrying out analysis of field / lab testto arive at SBC of soil including total settlement charecteristics of soil recommed foundation (Shallow or pile) in the form of soil investigation (3.00M Deep)
(A) FIELD TEST (i) 100MM dia bore consisting of the following tests for 02 Nos of bores of 3.00m depth each. (ii) Standard penitration test (SPT) for all types of soils with collection of disturbed soil samples. (iii) Collection of disturbed / undisturbed samples and indication of water table at the time of soil investingation.
(B) LAB TEST (i) Soil classification as erp IS based on seive analysis and liquid limit and plastic limit of soil. (ii) Cohesion and angle of internal friction in case of sandy silty soil from direct shear test with drainage condition mentioned in Para (iv) below. (iii) 'C' value from an unconfined test equipment for clayey soil. (iv) Consolidated undrained test (CU). (v) Consolidation test shall be carried out on as undisturbed sample to know the CC value of soil / initial void ratio (eo) of soil. The consolidation data is require to work out consolidation settlement analysis of foundation, which is turn helps for recommendation of SBC. (vi) Swelling index and swelling pressure test shall be carried out on swelling type of soil / black cotton soil. (vii) Chemical test on soil like PH value. Chloride / Sulphate contents etc.
