Repairs to the circumferential crack to 400 mm dia MS rising main by way of earth work excavation to make room for carrying out welding, aligning the pipe ends, surface preparation of joint for butt welding. The cracked portion shall be butt welded circumferentially in two welding runsto form leak-proofweld beads. The joint shall be furtherstrengthened by welding using 05 mm thick strip of adequate width to cover the joint as per site requirement. (02 spots). Plugging of minor leakageson rising main way of cleaning the crack portion by steel wire brush and then carrying out the welding using 05 mm MS strip of adequate dimensions as per site requirement. (03 spots)
Fabrication, providing and fitting of 400 mm dia MS bend out of approximately 05 feet long, 06 mm thick MS pipeto be welded to the exit of rising main in two weld runs for smooth discharge of water into canal installed at Lift Irrigation Scheme Hanjiwera Bala. The job included testing of rising main on full load after execution of works
