Replacement/recapitalization of damaged components of MS Flanged Type Foot Valve Fitted in Suction Pipe at Raya Lift Irrigation Station

Dismantling the existing MS Flanged Type Foot Valves of Unit Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 fitted between the suction pipe and bell mouth by disconnecting/cutting rusted nuts and bolts of the flanged joints, lifting the complete valve assemblies with the help of chain pulley block/Crane and transporting the same to the workshop. Providing, fabricating and fitting new MS flaps (16" dia × 12 mm thick) complete with EPDM rubber sealing gaskets, backing plates, new hinge pins, hinge brackets, lever mechanisms, stainless steel fasteners, bushes and all other allied accessories as per the existing samples in place of old damaged ones. Repair to 20-inch dia suction pipe by dismantling horizontal and vertical segments of the pipe by loosening/cutting rusted nuts and bolts of elbow joints from both sides with the help of required tools and tackles and hoisting mechanism at site. Providing and fitting new rubber gaskets for all flange joints, replacement of rusted nuts and bolts with high tensile galvanized nuts and bolts, alignment and balancing of the foot valves. Refitting the foot valves between the suction pipe and bell mouth, including alignment and tightening of flanged joints, testing and commissioning after completion of the work. The work also includes surface preparation and complete painting with one coat of red oxide primer followed by two coats of black anti-corrosive paint. The job shall include all labour, welding, tools and plants (T&P), carriage of materials and all other incidental works required for satisfactory completion of the job.
