Earthing Complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.5 metre below ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 mtr below ground level earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connection by using galvanized earth lead wire 32 x 6 mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of galvanised iron and thimbles and other end of the earth wire connected to main switch board protected by galvanised iron medium grade pipe 40mm bore in wall/floor/and GI Pipe 20 mm bore light grade for watering with funnel and wire mesh PCC chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 and RCC pit cover including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, returning slurry approved soil and disposed of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 Mtr away all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR 2009 ( Part-I). Notes (a) The unit rate shall include for GI protection pipe, GI watering pipe, wire mesh, funnel and excavation, RCC pit cover, test point, galvanised iron strip from top of earth plate upto 7.5 metres above ground level and if GI protection pipe is less than 7.5 metres, no price adjustment shall be made. (b) PCC pit shall be provided at least 50cm away from the earth pit and not just on the earth pit and extra cost of additional length of water pipes and fittings, junction, elbow etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate. (c) If the testing result of earthing is not found below 3 Ω then the contractor shall do another earthing work at his own cost and nothing shall be permissible on this account. (d) Earthing work will be carried out in presence of MES representative. (e) Testing Meggar with calibration report shall be provided by the contractor. (f) Earth Test report will be submitted to AGE Sub Div for record.
