1. Scope of Supply:

This specification covers the general requirement of design, manufacture, and supply of

specially design Battery operated cordless telescopic pole saw along with necessary

accessories and spares as per this specification. The scope also covers the departure of

training to the employee of PGVCL for proper utilization & periodic maintenance.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

 The bidder must be a manufacturer or authorized dealer/distributor/Supplier of the

required equipment.

 Valid GST registration, PAN.

3. Tender Terms & Conditions:

1. The tender shall be submitted online only in two parts:

 Technical Bid, and

 Price Bid (to be opened only for technically qualified bidders).

2. PGVCL reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any

reason thereof.

11. Penalty:

If the materials are not supplied within the stipulated time as mentioned in para (2)

penalty at ½ % per week of the order value will be imposed subject to maximum

10% of the order value. However, in genuine cases, on production of proof and if

satisfied extension of the limit will be granted within the power of undersigned.

12. Security Depot:

10% Security Deposit will be paid of the order value, which will be refunded after

the order is fully and satisfactory executed and payments of your bill is made in full.

13. Payment Condition:

Payment of purchase bill will be made by Circle Office through RTGS/NEFT, subject

to advance stamped receipt is forwarded when asked for. After successful delivery,

installation and testing certificate given by concern officer of the PGVCL, Circle

Office, Bhavnagar.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR BATTERY OPERATED CORDLESS

TELESCOPIC POLE SAW FOR TREE TRIMMING WORK

1.0 Scope of Work:

This specification covers the general requirement of design, manufacture, and supply of

specially design Battery operated cordless telescopic pole saw along with necessary accessories

and spares as per this specification. The scope also covers the departure of training to the

employee of PGVCL for proper utilization & periodic maintenance.

Background:

The overhead lines pass through different terrains to cater to the electrical loads. In major

cases, the overhead lines of the distribution system pass through High vegetation and tree

plantation area, it is very difficult to avoid contacts of the live phase conductors with the

tree branches which results in poor power supply reliability in such regions. Moreover, the

present practice of tree trimming is a manual and time-consuming process which further

results in delayed power restoration. Hence to overcome the existing challenges of tree

trimming, Battery operated cordless telescopic pole saw is a very useful tool that fastens

the tree trimming process and reduces the power outage time.

2.1 The Battery operated cordless telescopic pole saw is basically a convenient chainsaw

motor-powered that can cut through the tree branches by running its teeth in a circular

motion. The teeth on the blade of the saw are a metal chain with notches. This metal chain

runs around the gliding bar to chop things off efficiently.

4.0 General Requirements:

4.1 The offered telescopic pole saw shall be cordless i.e. Lithium-ion battery

operated with a battery charger. The petrol/diesel/ Electrical cable-operated

telescopic pole saw will not be allowed.

4.2 The working reach of the telescopic pole saw shall be at least 4 meters.

4.3 The telescopic chain pole saw shall be noiseless & very low vibrations during the

operation.

4.4 It shall be lightweight and ergonomic to handle.

4.5 It shall consist of an auto-lubricating oil tank that keeps the chain running freely.

4.6 It shall confirm relevant applicable IEC/International standards.

4.7 It shall consist a facility to switch off easily during an emergency.

4.8 It shall consist of LED indicators to indicate the state of battery charging.

4.9 The offered telescopic pole saw shall consist of a Battery charger and the bidder

shall have to indicate the charging time, running time of the battery, necessary

GTP along with the offer.

4.10 It shall consist of a facility to remove the saw chain and guide bar from the tool

4.11 The necessary carry bag shall be provided along with the offered item.

4.12 Spare battery should be supplied for continuous field work.

4.13 The Bidder has to provide Videography to demonstrating the instruction and use of

their product and available on-line platform like YouTube etc.

5.0 Training & Operational Manual:

The firm/supplier shall provide hands-on training to line staff of DISCOM at his own cost for

operating, handling, maintenance, and replacement of parts of the battery-operated telescopic

chain pole saw within 15 days of supply of equipment. The supplier/firm shall provide the

operational / maintenance manuals, safety measures manual, and tools (if required) of offered

items along with a supply of the unit.

6.0 Spare parts:

The spare and accessories/tools (including minor) required for maintenance and repairs in the

future after the guarantee/warrantee period should be supplied along with the offered item.

The tenderers are required to furnish the list of spares along with their cost in the financial Bid

separately which will not be taken for evaluation.

7.0 Inspection /Acceptance Testing:

The bidder shall have to arrange for a demonstration of the equipment at the supply point.

The purchaser or its nominated representative(s) shall inspect and test the equipment at the

supply point to check their conformity to the specifications and other details incorporated in

the contract. The following tests shall be carried out during the Inspection/Acceptance Testing.

The bidder shall also have to submit necessary certifications/type tests of the product as per

relevant applicable IEC/international standards along with the Bid.
