Earthwork in excavation in all kinds of soil for making embankments, repairs to the embankment, closing breaches etc. as per profile including supply and transporting the earth by truck or tractor or any other mechanical means on land, including loading, transporting, unloading and stacking with all lifts bothways and head load where necessary and depositing the same on embankments, channels, filling depressions in requisite profile, levelling as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge within a lead of E) Beyond 4.00 Km and upto 5.00 Km NB: Measurement to be taken on the basis of stack measurement / pre-post work section measurement after deduction of void as per norms. No extra payment will be made for stacking. Note 1: Extra rate towards compensation for earth for land owned / arranged by the contractor over rate of earthwork for land owned / arranged by the Department has been added in this derivation @ ₹43.00/m³ [Vide Ref: Page No: 87, Item No: 16(Note) of NH Schedule of Rates 2019] Note 2: The rate of royalty for earth/soil/fine sand/silt used for filling/brick making ( including such materials derived from dredging/de-silting) as notified same as that of Ordinary Earth/Brick Earth/fuller Earth vide Gazette notification No. 581-ICE-12013(99)/6/2022-MINES SEC-Dept. of ICE, Date:- 26.09.2022 of Department of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Mines Branch @ ₹29.00/m³ has been added in this derivation. The royalty will be paid to the agency on production of necessary documents in support of paymentmade towards the royalty. Note 3: Extra rate towards cess for earth for land owned / arranged by the contractor over rate of earthwork for land owned / arranged by the Department has been added in this derivation @ ₹5.30/m³ [Vide Ref: Memo No: 138/3512-29/C/99 Dated; 22.06.2000 of DLR & Jt. LRC, WB]

Labour charges for collecting or taking out displaced cement concrete or brick blocks of all sizes from slope, bed or apron and relaying the same in canal bed or slopes including clearing, dressing, ramming and preparing bed with necssary earth work complete within a lead of 200m and all lifts complete.

Providing and laying pre cast brick block pitching of required size(53cm x 53cm x 25 cm) or as directed by the engineer in charge) with 1st classs kiln burn in cement mortar including flush pointing on all feces except exposed face which to be plastered with 19mm thick cement plaster, curing, dressing, ramming & preparing sub grade in slope & bed coplete with necessary earth work not exceeding 300 mm in depth with all blocks will not be more than 10mm. (Sand, cement mortar mix for making blocks, pointing & plastering is1:4)

Making filter with well graded 40 mm down ballast and laying uniformly behind weep holes, below pitching on bed, side slopes including suppliying and carriage of all materials to site including preparing bed with earth work upto 30 cm depth where necessary and compacting with wood mallet after laying to achieve design section as per direction of the Engineer - in - charge ( measurement will be on finished work/ in stack after deducting necessary void) b) 1st class brick ballast
