EPOXY PAINTING AFTER SAND BLASTING OF HYDROMECHANICL EQUIPMENT OF GATES AT NAUGARH DAM DISTRICT CHANDAULI

Painting of old rusted M.S surface of gates and appurtences after prepration of surface properly by sand blasting process. Heavy deposite of grease or oil may be removed by solvent like clean mineral,sprits,xylol or white gasoline,etc, prior to sand blasting and applying two coat of zinc rich primer ( containing not less than 85% zinc on dry film) should be applied to give a total dry film thickness of 70 ± 5 microns . and two coat of solvent less coaltar epoxy paint.These should be applied at an interval of 24 hours.Each coat should give a minimum dry film thickness of 150 ± 5 microns.The total dry film thickness of all the coats including primer coating should not be less than 350 microns including cost of all labour, Standard make material like Asian ,Berger etc, T&P and scaffolding etc required for proper completion of work with all saftey arrangement .Work should be done as per IS Specification 1477 ( Part -1 ) : 1971 (4.2.1 Blast Cleaning, 5.2.1.1 Surface prepration, 5.2.1.2 Primer coat , 5.2.1.3 finishing coats ) from IS 14177:1994 (Latest Edition) and direction of engineer incharge at site Naugarh Dam,District Chandauli.
