Excavation in trenches not exc 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 m deep for foundation etc or for shafts, column footings or for laying cables/pipes etc not exc 10 Sqm on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in soil including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated surplus soil to distance not exc 50 Mtr and deposting where directed at a level not exc 1.5 Mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up cast iron water main (including all fittings), with spigot and socketed ends jointed with run lead joints including burning out lead of joints and collecting run lead for re-use, cleaning serviceable pipe internally/externally for re-use, stacking properly in safe custody in storeyard of AGE E/M and removing unserviceable pipe from site complete all as specified and directed for following bore pipes:- 80 mm bore

Material and labour for valve chamber of size 900 x 900 x 1000 mm with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 using 20 graded aggregate as in foundation 100 mm thick brick masonry one brick thick wall in CM (1:4) coping with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 50 mm thick, plastering internal and external walls upto 150 mm below GL in CM (1:4) , 50 mm x 50 mm x 6 mm thick angle iron frame for chamber cover fixed with the chamber using 4 Nos hold fasts made of 50 x 6 mm thick MS flat iron of suitable length, nild steel chamber cover 4 mm thick, brazed with 50 x 6 mm MS flats, fixed with handle made of 10 mm dia MS bar suitably welded of 200 mm length and locking arrangement two coat cement based painting on plastered surfaces and two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer on steel surfaces complete for chamber complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for finding pipe leakages of any length, type and bore, rectification of valve and joint leakages of any kind such as run lead joint/spigot and socket joint/flange joint/D joint etc including welding and provision of jointing materials/joint such as lead/flanges/clamps/jute/rubber gasket/nuts/bolts/washers/ grease/socket/D joint etc and testing of water line in presence of JE/Engr in Charge, complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Cost of earth work in any type of soil, cutting and making good of road, fixing of joint, T&P etc as required at site shall be deemed included in the unit rates. (ii) Rubber tyton or run lead joint of pipes shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items. (iii) Leakge shall be rectified within 24 hours after information failing which a penalty of Rs 500.00 per hour per complaint shall be imposed on the contractor for delay in rectification of leakage.

M&L for cleaning of surrounding area of E/M installations by surface dressing upto 10 cm average depth including removing shrubs, grass, implants, small bushes, branches of tree and other unwanted materials/stones etc and leveling, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 500 Ltrs capacity rotational moulded polyethylene water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top) hoisted and fixed in position incl dismantling existing water tank, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting of water header and distribution pipes of upto 150 mm bore and upto 3.0 m length in blue colour with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer after preparation of surfaces and writing name of distribution lines on water header in white colour, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting of existing 150/100 mm bore CI pipe line and fixing of flanges and butterfly valve including testing of water leakage in presence of Engineer in Charge, complete all as specified and directed. (Note: S&F of butterfly valve shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item)

M&L for repair of water header leakages including disconnecting existing pipe line connection from header, lifting to required height for repair, replacement of iron plate not less than 6 mm thickness and welding, complete all as specified and directed.
