REPAIR /OVERHAULING OF OXYGEN PLANT ONBOARD INS VIKRAMADITYA

OXYGEN PLANT: Inspect the condition of the plant.- (a) Carry out following 1000 hourly routines. (b) Renew all spares/items which are defective. (c) Replace all gasket and “O” rings. (d) Check all sensors and cabling. (e) Calibrate/servicing all analyzer, electrical instrumentation and pressure switches. (f) Renew filter cloth in the filter of air cleaning of oxygen plant. (g) Replace absorbent of air cleaning unit. (h) Checking and tightening of the connecting bolts. (j) Keeping the cotter pin in place. (k) If found necessary change the cotter pin. (l) Re-arrange the piston rings. (m) Adjust clearance between the inlet valves and electro magnet casing. (n) Under take adjustment as specified in item 17.9.5 of technical and service manual. (p) Examine the condition of self-adjustment piston at cross head. In case the clearance between the flange and piston stem is more than 0.08mm to 0.1 mm carry out overhaul. Grind and install a new support plate keeping a clearance of 0.04 mm to 0.06 mm. (q) Examine cylinder working surface. In case of scratches and scoring hone grind the cylinder. Scratches of 0.15 mm are permitted. (r) Examine slingers of the gland. (s) The disassembly will be carried out in accordance with the requirement described in item 17.8 of technical and service manual. (t) Perform visual examination of the piston group and replace damaged and packing and guide rings, cup packing , face if necessary in conformity with provisions specified in item 17.17 of technical and service manual. The maximum permissible limit of wear with respect to radial thickness for packing rings is up to 1.6 mm, Guide rings up 0.5 mm. (u) In case of decrease in feed to minimum value at maximum piston stroke rearrange the piston rings(If previously they have been replaced) or replace them (if previously they were rearrange) or replace the working bushing. (v) Replace shock absorbing hoses with new ones Qty-02 nos. (w) Undertake replacement of diaphragms in diaphragms unit. (x) Undertake replacement of suction and discharge valves. (y) Renew the following type of spares/items if required.(i) Hoses (ii) Filters (iii) Belts (iv) cloth in filter of air cleaning (v) Seals etc

Marine Oxygen Generation Plant.- (a) Liquid gas pump is not developing rated discharge pressure. Pump is to be overhauled and defect to be rectified(Qty- 01no). (b) Oxygen cylinder relief valve to be overhauled and calibrated. (Qty- 05 nos). (c) P1,P2,P3 and P4 valves of oxygen separation unit are not holding and leaking. To be overhauled. (d) Serviceability / calibration check of (i) Hygrometer 02 nos. (ii) Portable Oxygen analyzer-02 nos. (iii) Portable dew point meter- 02 nos
