A. (FORMATION WORK )

Dressing Surface (average excavation or filling upto 15 cm) including removing vegetation in all kind of soil.

In area of thorny jungle

Felling trees of girth (measured at a height of 1m above ground level) including lead and stacking of material within 100m. Note : 1. When stumps are grubbed up in addition, the rates shall be doubled for trees cut and grubbed.

Earthwork in cutting (classified) in formation ,trolley refuges, side drains, level crossing approaches, platforms, catch water drain, diversion of nallah if require & finishing to required dimension & slope to obtain a neat appearance to standard profile inclusive of all labour , machines and materials and removing & leading all cut spoils with all lead either to make spoil dumps beyond 10m from cutting edge or for filling in embankment with all leads within the section limit, lifts, ascent, descent, loading, unloading all taxes/royalty, clearance of site and all incidental charges , bailling & pumping out water if required ,etc, complete as per direction of Engineer -in - charge. The work is to be executed as per latest/updated edition of 'Guide lines of RDSO, Lucknow.Cut trees shall be the property of and to be deposited in the NALCO.

Note: i) All useable earth arising from cut spoils shall be led into bank formation and unusable spoils shall be dumped /stacked at the place provided by NALCO.

In all condition and classification of soil except rock

Earthwork in filling in embankment, guide bunds, around buried type abutment , bridge gap. Trolley refuges, rain bunds if provided , platforms etc. with earth excavated entirely by the contractor at his own cost as per RDSO's latest guidelines & specification & special condition of contract including all taxes , royalty, lifts , ascents descents, crossing of nallah or any other obstructions . The rates shall include all dressing of bank to final profile , demarkation and setting out of profile, site clearance , removing of shurbs roots of vegetation growth , heavy grass, all handling /re -handling, taxes ,octroi and royalty etc as a complete job. Cut trees shall be the property of NALCO and to be deposited in the NALCO Store.

Schedule – 1B. DRAIN , PATHWAY & OTHER MISC.WORK

Earth work in excavation by mechnical means (Hydraulic excavator)/ manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5m in width or 10 sqm on plan) including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift up to 1.5m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, with all leads and lifts. All kinds of soil.

Mechanical compaction of earth work on formation of earth work on formation in cutting section to attain desired percentage of compaction as per technical specification for earth work in filling in formation with contractor's own plant and rollers, vibrator or smooth wheeled roller and all over tools and plant required with crew and lead, lift, ascent, decent, testing, supply of labour and watering arrangement etc. as required for execution of the work as per specification.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centring and shutering - All work upto plinth level.

No. T-4965, 4966, 4967 with up to date alteration complete,insulated gauge tie plates with fittings, fish plates,fish bolts & nuts , leading and following strecher bars, bracket lugs,rubber pad, pandral clips, insulating liners etc. Scope of work also includes supply of all fittings required for prestressed concrete sleepers. (fan shaped layout) leading and following strechers bars and tie plates should be insulated type. Supply should also be inclusive of fittings required for approach and exist sleepers. ( Rate shall be excluding PSC sleepers).

Supply & delivery of Locally available Machine crushed Ballast of 50 mm size clean angular, hard and durable track ballast as per specification and stacking the same on cess of the formation or toe of the bank or at suitable place as directed by Engineer-in- Charge at site. The rate includes all cost of lead, lift, royalty, sales tax & other tax and duties and all incidental charges complete as applicable. Tools, plants and screens of approved mesh & dimensions required for inspection and passing at the time of measurement are to be arranged by the contractor. The rate also includes leveling of ground, if necessary, where the ballast are to be stacked.

Handling, lifting and leading of ballast from stacks with all lead, which have been duly measured and spreading ballast on formation, Track & turnouts to ensure uniform and compact ballast cushion under the sleepers desired ballast profile. Spreading of ballast should be as per specified line and level and maintaining approved profile as provided in the technical specifications. Spreading of ballast on formation will be done only after supply is completed for a particular stretch as decided by Engineer in charge and ballast stacks have been released for spreading.

Supply and fixing of Henvry William box type set reversing hand lever or spring point lever type self reversing (steel handle) to RDSO drawing No. MA-3040 including point connecting rod and other fittings, fixtures and other parts therto complete in all respect including cost of all labour, materials, fabrication, loading, transportation, unloading, stacking etc.complete.

Painting (two Coats) rail surface complete except the rail table with Anticorosive / protective paint like red oxide, the rate includes removing and cleaning the rail from dust rust before applying paint. The rate also includes supply of paint, consumables and tools etc.

Laying, B.G. straight or curve Track with following rail section and concrete sleeper (M+7) density with standard fittings ensuring correct spacing of sleepers, fixing and tightening of Fish Bolts & Nuts and maintaining proper guage, alignment, level (both cross & longitudinal ), expansion gap at rail joints, super elevation as necessary and with one initial through packing. The rate should be inclusive of dekinking of rails as required, cutting of rails as required on straight and curve track for squaring of joints, drilling holes on web of rail square to rail surface by using proper template for fish plated joints, champhering of drilled holes, greasing and oiling of fish plates and fish bolts and nuts and at fishing zone of the rail ends including supply of grease oil etc. Sleepers spacing versine.The rate should also be inclusive of carrying rails, sleepers, switches, crossings, fittings & fastenings with all lead, lift, ascent, descent crossing Road/Rly line if necessary from ClientStore Depot to Site of work within a distance of 1 km.

Assembling, linking and laying in position B.G.Standard 1 in 8 1/2 on P.S.C. sleepers including approach & exit PSC sleeper portion to correct alignment & gauge.This includes switches lead rails, stock rails both straight and curve, crossing with 52 kg rails and standard fittings ensuring correct spacing of sleepers fixing & tightening of Fish bolts & nuts and maintaining proper guage, expansion gap at rail joints and with one initial through packing. The rate should be inclusive of dekinking of rails as required, bending stock rails, cutting of rails to required standard size and drilling holes on web of rails square to rail surface by using proper template (for fixing fishplates, distance block, stretcher bars), greasing and oiling of fish plates & fish bolts and nuts and at fishing zone of the rail ends including supply of grease, oil etc. complete in all respects. The rate should also be inclusive of carrying rails, sleepers, switches, crossings, fittings & fastenings with all lead, lift, ascent, descent crossing Road/Rly line if necessary from ClientStore Depot to Site of work within a distance of 1 km. Sleeper spacing shall also be marked by the contractor with white/yellow paint at his own cost. The work has to be carried out as laid down in IRPWM and as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge at site.

Transportation of released P-Way materials viz. rails, sleepers, point and crossings tie bars and other P-Way materials etc. from work site to departmental store or to any approved store and vice versa located within 5 Km scope of work includes rehandling at site loading, transportation unloading and stacking materials includes handing over of materials to specified authorities. The rate shall inclusive of all lead , lift, ascent/decent crossing road/railway if necessary.

Manfucaturing, fabricating, supply and fixing by grouting in position of steel boards e.g. W/L boards, STOP boards, CAUTION boards with stand or any other similar type of boards as per drawing and specification mention in IRPWM with contractor's materials such as steel sheets (10mm thick), M.S. angle (65X65X10mm), electrodes etc. including earth work in exacavation & grouting with cement concrete 1:3:6 foundation of size 450mm x 450mm x 500mm complete in all respect. The rate should be inclusive of painting with two coats of painting coat of approved quality, lettering, inclusive supply of contractor's paint with all lead, lifts, ascent, descent, etc. including the cost of cement of approved quality.

Manufacturing and fixing of check rails for curve track by cutting flange of 90 R/52/60 kg. rails of required size and bending/planning the ends as per RDSO Drg. No. T - 4215 , drilling holes on web. fixing the check rail to the innerside of running rail the curve with the help of CI Bracket, bolts, nuts and plate screw at the intervals as directed by Engineer-in-charge maitaining proper check rail clearance and fixing them on each concrete sleepers. store which are to be transported by contractor at his own cost.

Making and fixing in position cement concrete (1:2:4) Fouling Mark as per enclosed drawing with proper painting and lettering as per directives of the engineer-in-charge of the work. The ratevis inclusive of materials like cement of approved quality, stone aggregate sand and paints etc.Earth work in excavation and all incidental works required for fixing in position complete in all respects.

Construction of concrete buffer as per RITES drawing including supply of bolts & nuts, washers, steel, cement, buffer, wooden sleeper (Size 2.75 mtrs x 0.3 mtrsx0.20 mtrs) and all other materials. The rate is also include paiting of buffer, wooden sleeper with approved quality red paint. The rate should also be inclusive of digging of foundation, trenches, shuttering & form work and finishing with all lead lift ascent, descent etc complete as per direction of Engineer ( RITES/NALCO will issue rails on free of cost) and agency will lead the rails to site from store.

Dismantling of existing B.G.track of 52kg/60kg any section of rails with any kind of sleepers with fittings and fastenings. The rate should be inclusive of cutting of bolts & nuts if necessary dismantled materials should be saggregated and are to be kept separately i.e rails, sleepers, fastenings etc by the side of track and transportation to the designated site with all leads and lifts siteas per direction of the Engineer-in- charge.
