MANNING AND OPERATION OF DG SET INSTALLATION AND ALLIED WORKS UNDER GE UTILITY AMBALA CANTT

Section-I (M & O Work) Manning and operation of diesel driven generating sets by technically qualified team comprising of 01 DG Set operator (Skilled person) for each shift of 8 hrs for round the clock including Sundays & Holidays at MH Ambala generator room (04 Nos DG sets) and 01 No DG set at 2 Corps Dental generator room .

Note :- (i) The DG set are required to be operated whenever necessory and maintained round the clock (24x7).

(ii)The department will provide diesel,OMD and distilled water etc as required for smooth functioning.

(iii) The scop of the work is to operate and maintain all the DG sets mention above including operation LT panels/connected mechanism/operating system in perfect condition round the clock. The operators may perferbly maintain the shifts like , 6 AM to 2 PM,2 PM to10PM and 10 PM to 6 AM on all days.

(iv) The maint includes the entire maintenance of the Engines,Alternators,Panel Boards, Power distribution boards and earthings,battery charger etc.

(v) The persons depolyed should possess the adequate knowledge/Experience to operate and maintain the above mentioned Generator sets

(vi) The operator should delete diesel/OMD/grease/distilled water etc as and when required from the department in consultation with the JE & Engineer - incharge.They should maintain registers kept for recording the daily run record (Logsheet) , Consumption of dieasel/OMD etc on daily basis against each generator sets. The log sheet will be handed over to the concern JE at the end of each month..

(vii) The contractor will carry out daily inspection to all the generators. The contractor will aslo do comprehensive maintaince of all the generators once in every fort night and carry out minor adjustment and repair as required without any additional cost.

(viii) The general cleaning of carbon brushes,Brush holder,spring,cummutator segments , conatct point etc along with greasing where ever required will be carried out on monthly/required basis without incurring extra cost.

(ix) The conditions of the batteries including the level of elctrolyte is to be checked regularly and if required then the level of electrolyte is to be topped up with distted water on required basis by the operator on duty.

(x) the contractor will aslo undertake quarterly servicing including megger test for checking insulation level of generator

(xi) The skilled labour or any other professional technician if required for fault rectification, the same will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost.

(xii) All the tools and tackles required for maintaince/servicing shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost.

(xiii) The generator room and surrounding area including all the machineries will be kept neat and clean on routine basis.

(xiv) The minor fault has to be rectified with in 02 hours and major fault will be intimated to the department immediately other wise a penatly @ Rs 500/hour will be deducted from the monthly payment for the duration of down time of generator sets.

Note for contractor for Item No. 1.00 above: (a) Providing summer and winter uniform along with proper shoes to the operators.(b) Providing T&P and display board of the firm along with minimum fare wages written on it. (C) Maintaining log sheets, duty roster, attendance register along with photo of the individual operator must be displayed at pump house or at the installation. (d) Rates of all above notes deemed to be included by the contractor in quoted rates. (e) If all above documents are not found during inspection of AGE or GE, the penalty of Rs.100/-per day will be imposed from the first date of the each month.

The rates qouted by the contractor shall be inclusive all taxes like GST, EPF, ESI, LWC as applicable and also include contractor's profit etc. In this connection please refer Note No. 20 of Sch A/BoQ Notes mentioned in tender documents.

Section-II (Maint Work) Maintenance and servicing of alternator 50KVA to 82.5KVA DG set installed at various installations including transportation to civil wksp for repair and servicing/overhauling including replacing of worn out parts like, bearing, carbon brush, rewinding to alternator winding wth suitale size super enamelled copper wire, insulating material including warnishing with air dry varnish,nut bolts and washer etc complete and refitting the alternator in position for smooth functioning of DG sets and testing on full load for the entire satisfaction of the Engr-in-charge complete in all respect all as directed by Eng-in-Charge. .Note:-(a) Contractor will carry out comprehensive maint and servicing listed in respective itms through qualified technical staff only. (b)Contractor will give gaurantee for one year from the date of completion of repair work carried out.(c) Any fault accured during gaurantee period shall be rectified by the contractor with out extra cost to the department.

Description all as per item No 2.00 above but of capacity 100 KVA to 125 KVA

Supply and Fix in replacement MCCB TPN 800 Amps , 415 Volts, 50 KA ,4 Pole, Ics=100% Icu , with microprocessor release IPRE+ (4 pole) 800 Amp overload adjustable short circuit adjustable type incl complete connection all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: Old Unsv MCCB shall be deposited in MES store.

Supply and fixing in repair On load change over switch 415 V, 4 pole, 400 Amps capacity fixed on DG Set incl necessary connection of cables from LT panels to change over switche complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: Old Unsv Change over switch shall be deposited in MES store.
