Providing and placing M30grade cement concrete (RCC) in foundations using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement, 20mm & down stone aggregate and approved quality sand including the cost of centring and shuttering (excluding the cost of reinforcement only which shall be paid separately) with all leads, lifts/depths and all complete as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works.
SUB STRUCTURE
Providing and placing M30 grade cement concrete (RCC) for the construction of abutments, abutment caps, return walls, dirt walls, wing walls, bearing pedestals, reaction blocks etc. using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement, 20mm & down stone aggregate and approved quality sand as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all types of shuttering, staging, scaffolding, necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts and depths true to level and position all complete excluding only the cost of reinforcement which shall be paid separately.
Fitting and fixing in position true to line and level Neoprene elastomeric bearing conforming to IRC: 83 (Part-II) section IX and clause 2005 of MoRTH specifications (Excluding Cost of Bearing) complete including all accessories as per drawing and Technical Specifications.
Providing weep holes in abutment walls, return walls, wing walls etc. with 100mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V:20H towards draining face as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all labour, materials, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. Measurement shall be made for actual length of weep holes.
Providing and laying of Filter Media with granular materials/stone, crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works to a thickness of not less than 600mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, return wall, wing wall etc. to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per the Drawings and Specifications. Item to include all labour, materials, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. Measurement shall be made for actual compacted finished volume of filter media.
SUPER STRUCTURE
FABRICATION OF TRUSS: Providing, shop fabricating, assembling & ground erection, testing, transporting (from workshop to work site) and storing (in workshop/work site) Grade 'B' structural steel (rolled sections and built-up sections using steel plates & rolled section conforming to IS: 2062 with yield strength of 250MPa i.e. Fe250) in steel truss (including top & bottom chord, vertical/diagonal members, stiffeners, gusset/cover plates etc.), plan bracings, cross girders/diaphragms, shear connectors etc. supporting RCC deck slab as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC:24 Specifications. Item to include all types of temporary structures, necessary templates, cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, necessary tools, plants, machinery, labour and all related operations as required to complete the work in all respect.
ERECTION OF TRUSS: Erecting and placing/fixing in position Grade 'B' structural steel (rolled sections and built-up sections using steel plates & rolled section conforming to IS: 2062 with yield strength of 250MPa i.e. Fe250) in steel truss (including top & bottom chord, vertical/diagonal members, stiffeners, gusset/cover plates), plan bracings, cross girders/diaphragms etc. supporting RCC deck slab as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC:24 Specifications. Item to include all types of staging, scaffolding, necessary templates, temporary structures, necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts/heights, true to level & position complete in all respect and also including cost for doing load test on bridge span as per IRC (SP 51-1999) code provision, inclusive of mobilization of manpower, equipment/ founding arrangements etc, testing charges, sand back filling, loading, shifting, de-mobilising, hiring of loading trucks, hosting arrangements complete in all respect.
Providing, testing and tightening of High Strength Friction Grip Bolts (HSFG bolts for Friction Type Joint) of class/grade 10.9 as per IS: 4000 using Automatic Calibrated Torque Wrench/Pneumatic Wrench at all locations of splicing and at all heights, wherever specified as per drawings and their compatible nuts and washers all complete required to execute the job. All HSFG bolts and nuts, washers conforming to IS: 1367, IS: 3757, IS: 6610, IS: 6623, IS: 6649 and IS: 4000 shall be used. The item shall include all labour, material, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. Measurement shall be made for actual weight of complete bolt assembly including nuts & compatible washers used in permanent work in kilograms.

Providing and placing in position M30 grade cement concrete (RCC) in cast-in-situ crash barrier over deck slab using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement, 20mm & down stone aggregate and approved quality sand as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. The scope of work in the item primarily includes:
Providing and fixing hand rail over the Kerb wall consisting of MS base plates, embedded fastener and nuts, MS vertical plates and pipes, prepackaged early high strength non-shrink grout etc. as shown in the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. All the railing components as mentioned above to be hot dip galvanised with a zinc coating of at least 175 gm/sqm. The thickness of plates shall be as shown in the Drawings and pipe to be 65NB heavy class with a weight not less than 7.92 kg/m and conforming to IS: 1161-1979. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental works required to complete the work as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Measurement shall be made for the actual length of the pipe in meter only.
REINFORCEMENT:
Providing and placing in position TMT (Fe 500 Grade) reinforcement bars in various structural elements of the bridge (i.e. foundations, substructure & superstructure) including cutting, straightening, bending, fabricating, storing, binding with mild steel annealed binding wire of 18 SWG, fixing in position complete as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works.

APPROACH SLAB, EXPANSION JOINTS, DRAINAGE SPOUTS, WEARING COAT & CONFIRMATORY BORING:
Providing and placing in position M30 grade cement concrete (RCC) in cast-in-situ approach slab using 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement, 20mm & down stone aggregate and approved quality sand as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all types of shuttering, bitumen filler type joint between approach slab & dirt wall all complete. Item to include all labour, materials, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. The minimum slump of concrete shall be 75mm at the time of placement of concrete. Measurements shall be made for the finished volume of concrete only. Cost of reinforcement (12mm dia.bars @ 150mm c/c bothways on both faces) shall not be paid separately and the same shall be included in the quoted rates.
Providing and installing single strip seal expansion joint with a total allowable movement capacity of 70mm as per Drawings, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC: SP: 69 'Guidelines & Specifications for Expansion Joints' and duly supplemented with manufacturer's recommendations. Entire installation is to be carried out strictly in the presence of manufacturer's representative only at all times who shall certify the quality of work. Item to include necessary provision and filling of recess for the expansion joints at no extra cost. The seal of the expansion joint shall be such as not to permit any dust collection at all times. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental work required to complete the job. Measurement shall be made for the actual length of expansion joint provided.
Providing and fixing drainage spouts as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental work required to complete the job. Measurement shall be made for actual number of drainage spouts provided.

Painting on Concrete/Steel Surfaces with Epoxy Painting two coats including prime coat with epoxy paint of approved brand on concrete/steel surfaces after through cleaning ofsurface to give an even shade as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1701
APPROACH ROAD
Earth work in excavation of PCC retaining walls as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Scope of work and measurement of item shall be similar to corresponding item of bridge works.
Earth work in excavation of Hill side Cutting as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Rural development (MoRD) Specifications Road Works.. Scope of work and measurement of item shall be similar to corresponding item of bridge works. (both side) & Construction of Embankment with Material Obtained from Roadway Cutting- Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5
Construction of R. R . stone masonary in cement mortar 1:5 including supply of all materials, labour, t&p & royaltyetc, required for proper completion of work, below and inside retaining walls as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Rural development (MoRD) Specifications Road Works. Scope of work and measurement of item shall be similar to corresponding item of bridge works.
Providing weep holes in retaining walls with 100mm dia AC pipe as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Rural development (MoRD) Specifications Road Works. Scope of work and measurement of item shall be similar to corresponding item of bridge works.
Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings & technical specification Clause 1204.3.8
By Mix in Place Method Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401.
WBM Grading 2-Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 KN in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, crushable stone screening to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification Clause 405. Prime Coat-Low porosity :- Providing and applying primer coat with Bitumen emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70- 1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification Clause 502.
Tack Coat- Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared dry and hungry bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.
Premix Carpet:- 20mm thick Open-Graded Premix Carpet using Bituminous (penetration grade/modified bitumen) Binder Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 11.2 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 508. Seal Coat- Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 510 Bitumen (VG-10)
PROTECTION WORK
Providing and laying of apron with cement concrete blocks of cast in-situ and made with nominal mix of M-15 grade cement concrete with a minimum cement content of 250 kg/cum as per IRC: 112. Average size is taken as 3.0 m x 1.5m x 1.50m.
ROAD FURNITURE AND OTHERS
Providing and fixing of retro-reflectorised cautionary, mandatory and informatory sign as per IRC:67 made of encapsulated lens type reflective sheeting vide Clause 1701.2.3 fixed over aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M15 grade cement concrete 450 mm x 450 mm x 600 mm, 600 mm below ground level as per drawings and Technical Specification Clause 80 (900 mm side octagon)
Providing and Fixing 'Logo' of PMGSY Project Providing and fixing of typical PMGSY informatory sign board with Logo as per MORD specifications and drawing. Three MS Plates of 1.6 mm thick, top and middle plate duly welded with MS flat iron 25mm x 5m size on back on edges. The lower plate will be welded with MS angle iron frame of 25mm x 25mm x 5mm. The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frame of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos. 75mm x 75 mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mm x 450mm x 600mm, 600mm below ground level. The top most diamond plate will be welded to middle plate by 47mm x 47mm of 12 SWG steel plate tube. All M.S. will be stove enameled on both sides. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will be painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. All sections of framed posts and steel tube will be painted with primer and two coats of epoxy paint as per drawing Clause 1701 and Annexure 1700.1
