Repairing of Boundary wall work in the New Campus Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad

Brick surface & Pointing repair work (New Campus Boundary wall): a) Removal of the damaged brick surface, loose pointing and application of cement mortar in CM (1:2). Water proofing chemical to be mix at a proportion of 200ml per bag of cement or as per manufacturer recommendation in every stage of work. Suitable cement slurry to be applied before applying cement mortar. b) Application of paste prepared by mixing well burned sound red brick powder & Cico-Tape Crete P-151 / Dr. Fixit 302 Super Latex chemical in expose brick pattern to match the existing surface. c) Pointing preparation:- Cement paste to be applied as a pointing matching with existing surface. It includes curing for seven days. d) Complete work to be carried out as per IIMA norms etc. as directed and as per existing surface finish. e) No Extra will be paid for wastages. f) Actual treated area will be consider for measurement. g) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging.

Dismantling the damaged and dislocated masonary portion : a) Dismantling / Removal of the damaged, dislocated masonary portion and the debris of brick wall and pillar needs to be transported outside the campus at unobjectionable place as directed by the Engineer and no extra tractor trips will be provided. b) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging. c) It includes removing unwanted plants and roots coming out of wall surface and treating the same with suitable cement mortar or concrete as required matching to existing surface.

Providing & laying Brick Masonry in exposed bricks (230mm & 350mm thick): a) Providing and laying 230mm & 350mm thick brick masonry in CM (1:4) for walls, pillars and other similar locations etc. by using good quality exposed bricks in true line, level and plumb including raking the joints upto 20 mm depth, rubbing and cleaning the surface, with curing etc. complete as directed and specified. Water proofing chemical to be mix as per manufacturer recommendation. b) Bricks should be sufficiently soaked in water and cement mortar to be prepared in mixing tray. c) It includes curing for seven days. d) Complete work to be carried out as per IIMA norms etc. as directed and as per existing surface finish. e) No Extra will be paid for wastages. f) Actual treated area will be consider for measurement. g) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging.

Flush Pointing for New Brick masonry Surface: a) Providing flush pointing in CM (1:2) including the raking of joints and filling with cement sand mortar. (Matching to existing IIMA boundary wall.) Water proofing chemical to be mix as per manufacturer recommendation. b) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging.

Coping work: a) Providing and laying 3" thick hand mixed coping over boundary wall in concrete grade (1:2:4) including compaction, finishing all surface and curing etc. Water proofing chemical to be mix as per manufacturer recommendation. b) It includes inserting the glass pieces in coping immediately as per existing. c) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary formwork and scaffolding or stagging.

Placing barbed wire for fencing work over boundary wall: a) Replacing and fixing the barbed wire at locations wherever it is broken with new barbed wire provided by IIM Ahmedabad. b) It includes removing the old broken barbed wire and shifting it to the location shown by IIMA Engineer. c) Joint is not allowed in barbed wire. d) Contractor has to account other miscellaneous requires for cutting, drilling holes if required & fixing new one. e) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging. f) The length of barbed wire fixed at location is measured for billing purpose.

Providing GI Barbed wire (12x14 SWG) (2 Strand wires): Providing barbed wire of (12x14 SWG) (2 Strand wires) with minimum 100 GSM zinc coating. The length of barbed wire fixed at location is measured for billing purpose. No extra given for wastages.

Re-fixing Y-shape angle over boundary wall : a) Dislocated Y-shape MS angle to be re-fixed at location over masonry pillar maintaining the existing profile in true plumb and line with adjacent angles. Pillar upto height of 1.25 feet is accounted in it. b) It includes removing loose masonry and loose concrete around the angle and re-fixed it in position after cleaning. If angle is in un-usable condition, then the new angle will be provided by IIMA. c) Cement concrete (1:2:4) to be done to hold angle and peripherial brick masonry along with new pointing finish as per existing. Water proofing chemical to be mix as per manufacturer recommendation. d) It includes working on all heights and levels with necessary scaffolding or stagging. e) Curing to be done for seven days.
