od5914/2019_2020 : Supplying , filling, installation of non woven polypropylene polymer geo textile bags of lay flat size 1.00x0.70 m of tensile strength (MD/CMD) greater than or equal to 30KN/M, GSM greater than or equal to 400 and tensile elongation less than or equal to 50% at shore 0.075m3 per each volume in or under water or in land including transportation of bags to filling location, filling of Geo textile bag using sand available near the site to achieve a suitable finished height , closing the bags suitably as per standard practice and placing the filled Geo textile bags in position with the help of labours , machinery etc.complete as per the proposed section and as per the direction of the Engineer in charge. (The sand for filling available within the 1km radial distance can be collected and conveyed )

Appendix-B geotextile for reclamation

15.6 : Laying of a geotextile filter between pitching and embankment slopes on which pitching is laid to prevent escape of the embankment material through the voids of the stone pitching/cement concrete blocks as well as to allow free movement of water without creating any uplift head on the pitching.
