Detailed survey for optimum and most feasible route and preparation of
proposal with all detailing
Under ground laying / installation of 132 KV (E),6 Nos. of 1 core 800 sq.
mm. XLPE insulated Power Cable ,Double circuit(3 Nos./circuit) in
trefoil formation with 2 nos. earth continuity cable ( 1No./circuit) and
FOAC cable (As per Annexure -II) (FOAC cable shall be laid in HDPE
pipe - One pipe per FOAC cable) inclusive of all requisite materials (like
sand, pre cast slabs, trefoil clamps(mounted at min. 3 Mtr spacing), phase
identification tag, pre warning tape, route marker, HDPE pipe etc.),
supervision, testing of installation, pre-commissioning tests etc and
associated civil works with open excavation in any type of soil as per
specs & approved drawing. (GETCO/E/132KV-DC/Cable/01. R0)
--do-- but for Road/Nala Crossing with open excavation and laying NP4
class RCC Hume Pipe 1 no. for each trefoil and laying of cable in HDPE
pipe (min. 0.6 Mpa class) 1 no. per cable in trefoil formation ,FOAC cable

Laying/dressing of 132 kV (E) 1 core 800 sq. mm. XLPE insulated Power
Cable for Double circuit ( 6 nos, 1 cable per phase) at both
ends inclusive of all requisite materials (like trefoil clamps, phase
identification tag, Ladder etc.), supervision, testing of installation, pre-
commissioning tests etc and associated civil/mechanical works on
overhead line transmission tower structure / Monopole suitable for cable
5 termination including required fabrication work for providing 4 th cross Job
arm, mounting of Surge Arrester,Ladder and End Termination as per
approved drawing and FOAC cable in HDPE pipe as per instruction.Scope
also includes cable protection arrangement at tower base, jumpering
works on tower with supply of required clamps & connectors and reqiured
maintainance free earth pit ( total 6 nos, 3 nos/ckt) with GI earthing strip
for LA & providing tower earthing as per GETCO standard practice.

back filling and supply of all materials like 32mm Dia heavy duty 3 mtr

Grounding of tower with COUNTER POSE TYPE earthing including
excavation and back filling and supply of all material like GSS Wire, lugs,

Erection of Super Structure up to 6 mtr extension including tree cutting
fixing of tower accessories,attachments except ACD/DP/NP/PP/CIP and
excluding tack welding of bolts. This includes taking delivery of tower
25 materials and bolt-nuts from GETCO's Store etc. for normal, extension & MT
special towers at destination and keeping them in safe custody and
transporting the same to erection site.
Fixing of Anti-climbing devices incuding supply of Barbed wire.

Fixing of DP/NP/PP/CIP including supply of plates and supply of GI Bolt
nuts & tack welding as per drawing.
Tack welding of nuts upto approx 10 mtrs height or two bottom most panel
from ground level at three places on the nuts diametrically and applying
29 zinch rich paint immediately after tack welding. Per Bolt
Painting of name of line , location number, colour code and telephone
number on tower for information of concerned substation including supply

Laying of Two continuous Runs (no in between splicing) of Fibre Optic Approach Cable ( DWSM - Dual window
single mode, 24F/48F) - with installation hardware like ties / clips / cleats, conduits, HDPE ducts, supports,
fittings, accessories etc) along with 132kV/220kV cable system strictly as per approved method of construction
i.e MOC. Proposed FOAC cable shall be spliced to existing OPGW/FOAC cable after rearranging. Following
shall be strictly followed for installation
- Two to Three rings of extra loop length shall be kept buried underground at foot of both end termination tower
after laying FOAC cable with 132kV/220kV cable as per MOC.
- Each run of FOAC cable length remaining outside the ground level shall be at least two times the height of each
termination tower at both end and it should be brought upto third cross arm of termination tower through HDPE
pipes properly tied with tower.
- Length of FOAC cable (i.e Approximately tower height) after bringing the FOAC cable above third cross shall
be managed in rings by properly fixing clamp arrangement to hold up on end termination tower. Also, each run of
FOAC cable shall be terminated at individual joint box on each termination tower.
- After laying FOAC cable, each length shall be tested for end to end test using power meter and OTDR. Test
Report provided in GETCO technical specification shall be duly sealed and signed with date, name & designation
of testing person, executing contractor and witnessing officer one each from telecom as well as TR/Const.
nominated from respective EE(Telecom) and EE(TR)/EE(const.) respectively.
(1) Complete Installation of OPGW cable (24/48 Fibers) including laying , providing required hardwares, in line
splices to be encased in Fibre Optic Splice Enclosures, Laying & termination of a fibre optic approach cable
required to connect Overhead Fiber Optic Cable (OPGW) between the final in line splice enclosure on the
gantry/tower and the Fibre Optic Distribution Panel (FODP) to be installed within the building at both the sub-
station ends as per technical specification.
(2) Link up of OPGW Cable including all related activities.
(3) After completion of arrangement work of OPGW, for 132kV/220kV line, it shall be tested for End to End test &
test report duly sealed & signed with name and dated signature of testing personal, Witnessing Officer of
GETCO, executing contractor to whom GETCO has placed order as well as concern EE (Const.) alongwith .SOR
files shall be submitted for approval. However, other testing requirement during work execution shall also be
carried out at each stage of work as per standard formats of "Letter- CE (Proj)- Guidelines - OPGW Execution.pdf
" (letter CE(P)/EE(TR-II)/T-1/4281, Dtd: 25.11.2014).
(4) Also, regarding guideline for executing work of OPGW laying on various 400kV, 220kV and 132kV
transmission line, a further addendum to letter "CE (Proj)- Guidelines - OPGW Execution.pdf" has been issued
vide letter CE (Project)/EE (Telecom)/OPGW/1294, Dtd: 13.08.2020.
(5) A joint verification with field officer for work executed/done shall be invariably completed as per standard
revised format-A.

132 kV 1Cx800 sq. mm XLPE Cable with laying modality 2*(3+0) with trefoil formation is considered .
2 As per Project dept. e-mail and inputs received from field office, 6+1 configuration proposed,
however, as per standard practice for 132KV D/C line, Cable laying modality - 2x(3+0) trefoil
formation with 132 kV 1Cx800 sq. mm Al conductor Poly AL poly cable is considered.
Cable Route Length in ground from LILO tower (DD+3) cable termination tower to existing 132 kV
Mota Dahisara SS : 1100 Rmtr
4 Total cable length is 1155 Rmtr considered as following:
10 mtr loop + 40 Mtr tower height + 1100 mtr. Route Length + 5 mtr Height of SS Support str.
5 LA are considered only at tower end .
6 No spares considered.
7 Scope of supply, erection & foundation of 1 nos of ,220 KV cable termination tower DD+3 - FSBC Soil
open footing foundation is considered in this BOQ subject to location finalized in check survey.
Stringing of 35 meter span from Existing Loc. No. 196 (DD+3) to Proposed Loc. No.1 (Cable
Termination Tower) shall be carried out considering slack span.
In Erection BOQ, stub setting and erection of super-structure considered. However, other erection
9 items i.e. foundation, stringing, earthing etc.) shall be considered by Project dept.
10 220kV M/C NB MDN + 0 Tower is considered instead of DD+0 due to space constraint
11 FSBC Foundation drg not available, hence tentative weight w.r.t WBC soil is considered .
