| 1.00Maintenance & Testing of process heat exchangers (Floating head & U-tube type): Wherever required, piping spools & valves to be dismantled to facilitate removal of end covers and same to be re-erected back after maintenance of HEx's. Gaskets of all the Flange joints within first isolation valves in inlet, outlet, vent and drain lines of HEX shall be replaced (servicing of valves is excluded). Heat Exchanger channel covers, floating head & shell covers are to be removed, Tube bundle shall be removed from HX shell, re-insertion of bundle after cleaning of tube outside surfaces by hydro-jetting, cleaning of shell and inspection, Pass partion plates as well as flange surfaces to be reconditioned by welding followed by grinding, lapping etc. Cleaning of inside surface of tubes by hydrojetting, air drying of tubes (tubes surface inspection & ECT of tubes shall be done by HWPK), cleaning of fasteners., plugging of defective tubes by TIG welding followed by DP test, Ring testing for checking leaky tubes & tube-tube sheet joints, Air testing of all SS liners provided in end covers & shell; its repair, wherever required, by TIG welding using 309Mo filler wire, Refixing of covers with suitable size gaskets and successful hydro testing of shell as well as tube side of each heat exchanger as per the technical specifications of the tender. | |||||||

Maintenance & Testing of Fixed tube sheet type Heat Exchangers (i.e. HXs with no floating head) Wherever required, piping to be dismantled by the successful bidder and same to be re-erected back after maintenance of heat exchanger is over. Gaskets of all the valves & flange joints with in first isolation of heat exchanger shall be replaced. Heat Exchanger shell & channel covers are to be removed, liner shall be air tested, liner as well as flange surfaces to be reconditioned by welding followed by grinding, lapping etc. Cleaning of inside surface of tubes by hydro-jetting, air drying of tubes (ECT inspection of tubes shall be done by HWPK after hydro-jetting & air drying of tubes). Shell testing to check any leaky tube & integrity of tube-tube sheet joints, plugging of defective tubes by TIG welding followed by DP test, re-fixing of covers and successful hydro testing of shell as well as tube side of each heat exchanger as per the technical specifications given in part II of the tender.
Maintenance & Testing of U Tube Heat Exchanger: SS Liners are not there hence their testing and repair is not required. All other jobs are same as in ‘02’ above. The USI No. of Exchanger is 7211RAHIE 1, 2
Maintenance & Testing of seal oil & lube coolers of H2S gas compressors: Gaskets of all the Flange joints within first isolation of HEX shall be replaced. Heat Exchanger channel covers, floating head & shell covers are to be removed, Tube bundle shall be removed from HX shell, Cleaning of tube outside surfaces , inside surfaces & shell shall be done using kerosene or suitable solvent, re-insertion of bundle, Pass partion plates as well as flange surfaces to be reconditioned by welding followed by grinding, lapping etc., cleaning of fasteners., Refixing of covers with suitable size gaskets and successful hydro testing of shell as well as tube side of each heat exchanger as per the technical specifications of the tender.

Flange facing of gasket seating surface of flanges of heat exchanger main shell/ channel covers/shell covers/ floating head covers etc. Wherever required, flange facing of gasket seating surface of flanges will be carried out using electrically operated inside/outside mounting flange facing machine. The flange faces having observed deep pitting marks all over the surface shall be consider for flange facing followed by lapping.
