REPAIR/MAINT OF RG FILTER MEDIA AND OTHER CONNECTED WORKS OF MAIN PUMP HOUSE AT MASIMPUR MILITARY STATION UNDER GE SILCHAR

Taking up filter media (sand & gravels) from the filter bed, stacking different filter media in different stacks as per size scrapping and cleaning the filter media, ceramic tiles in filter bed and wall with wire brush or any other device, segregation of serviceable effective sizes and lesser sizes (U/S) gravels seperately, keeping the serviceable gravels for reuse in the work and disposal of unserviceable filter media to a distance exceeding 50 mtr but not exceeding 100 mtr complete all as specified and directed.

Charging of new filter media under proper supervision by supply, transporting and placing carefully in alternate layers of dust and other impurities free fine/coarse sand of size and graded coarse gravels for the following :-

20 to 40 mm size gravel of 30cm thick layers in bottom.

6mm to 20mm size gravel of 30 cm thick layers in intermdiate layers.

3 to 6 mm size gravel of 30 cm thick on top most layer.

Coarse sand of size 0.45mm to 0.55 mm of 30cm thick layers over bottom layer of gravels

Fine sand of size 0.35 mm to 0.45 mm of 30 cm thick layers over the inter media gravel layer.

Charging of usable sizes of gravel in layers obtained from item No. 1 here-in-before complete all as specified and directed.

Testing the functioning of filteration system after necessary charging with satisfactory result. The test result should not be less than 40000 litre/hour per filter bed (In case of test result less than 40000 litre/hour, all the filter media shall be rearranged after proper washing to achieve the required result to the entire satisfaction of GE/Engr-in-Charge at Contractor's own cost & nothing extra shall be admissible to contractor on this account & decision of GE shall final & bilding to contractor.

Taking out slits, mud, solid waste material of any size and quantity from jack well (Low Lift) by manually/mechanically throughly and thrown away at a distance upto 50 mtr and depositing as directed after closing the inlet valves of jack well (size of jack well 20 mtr depth from the bottom, surface cleaning throughly with clean water and bleaching powder, repair the crack inside well with neat cement slurry as required, making alternative arrangement for uninterrupted water supply from river to aerator temporary including all accessories & closing the alternative arrangment made after repair as directed complete all as specified and directed.

Cleaning of drain approximately size 60m x 0.60m x 2 mtr in Main Pump House by getting out all silts, mud and all waste materials complete making the drain channel free for drain out water surrounding from filteration plant to flow smoothly complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing CI non return valve ISI marked both end flanges with MS steel spindle and iron wheel, class PN-1.6 of size 250 mm bore incl taking up old one including taking down unserviceable valve complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing CI non return valve ISI marked both end flanges with MS steel spindle and iron wheel, class PN-1.6 of size 200 mm bore incl taking up old one including taking down unserviceable valve complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling of tiles and granite from walls, floors of filteration plant of main pump house Kalibari complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour of glazed ceramic coloured tiles in vertical surfaces size 300 x 270 x 7 mm thick set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or colour cement to match over and including 10 mm thick backing coat in cement mortar 1:3 over & including a layer of neat cement slurry with 3 Kg of cement per sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour of granite 18 to 20 mm thick (of any type) work (table rubbed and polished) in steps, jambs, pillars, window cills, cooking platforms and like in cement mortar 1:4 including pointing in white cement 1:2 using marble dust with a mixture of pigment to match with shade of granite incl rounding edges over & including 15 mm thick screed bed or bedding layers in cement mortar 1:4 over & including a layer of neat cement slurry with 3 Kg of cement per sqm complete all as specified and directed.
