Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil by manual/mechanical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock and hard rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification clause 1603.1 & 1603.2 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner , trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. The recovery for useful stones, for 282.64 cum. (two hundred eighty two point six four cubic meter) @ Rupees 300/= only (Rupees three hundred only) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Excavation in Hill area by manual/mechanical means:- Excavation in soil in hill areas all heights and depth in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hardd rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock( where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformately with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1 all useful material such as stone, shingle, aggregates& slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly. Any loss to the public and private property to during the course of execution shall be the absoulte responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for strucutrs as per drawing and technical specifications clause 305.1 including setting out, constrction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all lead, dressing of sides and bottom and bacik filling in trenches with excavated suitable material in ordinary soil upto all depth. as directed by the directed by the Engineer-in-chage, all useful material such as stone shingle, aggregates & slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the orad side properly. Any loss to the public and private property to durign the course of excution shall be the aboulite responsibility of the contracto which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

P/L cement concrete 1:4:8 (1 cement :4 sand :8 graded stone aggregate 25mm nominal size) and curing complete excluding cost of form work in foundation and plinth in breast and R/wall etc. including carriage with in all leads and lifts and as per HP.PWD. specifications of 1990 volume-I and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawings and technical specifications clause 802, 803,1202 & 1203 PCC Grade M-10(1) (Mechanical mix and vibrated graded crushed stone aggregate) 1:3:6 including hauling of material through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying cement concrete 1:6:12 (1 cement: 6sand:12 graded stone agg. 40mm nominal size) for plian/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803,1202 and 1203 including hauling of mateial in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction ad direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry/stone masonry/plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return wall with 100mm dia PVC pipe extending through the full with of the structures with slop of 1(V):20(H) towardes drawings face compete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 614,709,1204.3.7 including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and as per HP.PWD. specifications of 1990 volume-I and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm dia G.I. wire conforming to IS:280 and IS: 4826 in 100mmx100mm mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 40Kg each including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Backfilling/filter media with granular mateial behind return wall/ breast wall as per drawings and technical specification clause 1204.3.8 in a width of 600mm including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller 8 to 12 tone capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulation etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earthwith lead upto 50 mtrs including carriage of material in all leads and lifts as per the satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly handpacked filling interstices with Kharanja stone and consolidating with power road roller to the requested gradient and comber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD specification. 100 mm spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour) including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and as per HP.PWD., specification of 1990 volume-I and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
