COUNTER POISE EARTHING WORK
Measurement of earth resistance value of individual ground electrode installed before laying the C.P. wire at convenient place
Driving/installing ground electrode (Earth rod) size 25x2000 mm within a radius of 30 meter around the center of the tower at a suitable place where it could be installed preferably in B.C. soil or normal soil position
Excavation of 0.40 to 0.60 meter deep and 0.20 to 0.30 meter wide trench between installed ground electrode and nearest tower main leg within a radius of 30 meter around the center of tower and back filling with soil after removing stone, rock, bolder pieces preferably with B.C. soil(Total Avg.30M X132=3960 Mtr)
Laying of G.I. ground wire of suitable size (preferably 7/8 or 7/9 SWG) between main leg and installed ground electrodes and burying it in the trench excavated and connecting one end of wire to tower main leg and other end to the installed ground electrodes with the suitable connecting clamps provided by the Company
Measurement of TFR after completion of counter poise earthing work
