Manning and operation of water supply installation Pump House No - 01 (02 shift per day i.e. 0600 to 1400 hrs and 1400 to 2200 hrs) including maintenance of plant and maintaining of all records as reqd and cleaning of plant and surrounding area, by deploying pump set operator 02 Nos per day (01 No in each shift for pump house No - 01) description of plants are as under :- (a) Submersible pump of capacity 15 HP at 10000 Gph - 02 Nos (b) DG Set of capacity 125 KVA - 01 No (c) Star delta/oil starter - 03 Nos (d) Booster pump of capacity 20 HP - 02 Nos (e) Sluice valve - 02 Nos (f) Borewell - 05 Nos including LT Panel - 02 Nos The contractor shall employ following staff per day for operation on plant in each shift (i) Pump set operator - 02 Nos per day (01 No in each shift of 08 hrours, in two shifts daily).

(i) Pump Set operator - 01 No per day,( 01 No in each shift of 08 hrs daily).

Note : (For Srl item No 1.0 & 2.0 ) :- (i) The operator shall be ITI qualified of any branch/sub branch of electrical or mechanical trade or minimum three years experience in operation of similar plants. (ii) Adding bleaching powder/Altoch GP/Chlorine gas/Aquafit granular as directed in the water main through bleaching dozer/chemical dozing pump/chloronome plant, installed at pump house or as directed as per requirement in order to get 2.00 PPM residual chlorine in water at source and 0.2 PPM result at the user end or as directed by Engr-in-Charge time to time. (iii) Operation of pumping set timing as directed by Engr-in-Charge and installation shall be maintained and operated round the clock including Sunday and Holidays. (iv) Operating DG Set (Stand by) as and when required or main supply goes off including maintenance of DG set and maintaining daily log sheet. (v) DHPP and Engine oil required for run DG set will be issued under schedule 'B' free for filling and to be collected from MES store yard time to time as and when required. (vi) Proper log sheet and register for running of DG set and reason of running, FOL shall be supplied by the MES for which proper record of issue, consumption shall be maintained by JE E/M/Engr-in-Charge. (vii) The contractor shall be responsible to keep the water supply installation neat and clean on every day. (viii) Proper log sheets for running of the DG set to be maintained. (ix) Testing of water sample once in a shift at the outlet of test point and recording test result in a register and to be get signed by Engineer-in-Charge and maintaining the consumption of bleaching powder/Altoch GP/Chlorine gas/Aquafit granular which will be issued under sch 'B' free for mixing and collect from MES store yard time to time as and when required. (x) Carry out tightening of nuts and bolts, replace whenever required and apply and grease. (xi) Proper dress i.e. overall combination of gray/navy blue colour, protective clothing, protective shoes, mask, gloves, materials like cotton waste/jute etc, testing instrument and other equipment required for maintenance and operation shall be arranged by the contractor within the over all cost quoted against the item. No extra amount shall be paid separately on this account. (Recovery weill be made against non wearing of uniform @ Rs. 250/- per shift and recovery for absent from duty (per shift) will be recovered @ double the wages of per shift. (xii) Safety devices as per latest IS shall be arranged by the contractor for his labour deployed in maintenence and operation work. Also necessary T&P required while working shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. No extra amount shall be entertained separately on this account. (xiii) Register, log sheet and other stationery items to be provided by the contractor with in the over all cost quoted against the item.
