Cleaning the existing reinforcement with wire brush / rotary brush to make surface clean ,free from rust scales,loose materials,dust etc complete and applying two coats of alkaline rust converting primer with a coverage of 350 gms/sqm on the existing rebar and allowing it to react with rust for 6 hours and forming corrosion resistant,insoluble and adherent protective layer including cleaning the reinforcement with wire brushing to remove rust spalls with time interval of 1 hour between the coats .(Measurement per square metre surface area of concrete ) .Product Sika Rustoff-100 or equivalent in Fosroc,Asian etc as approved by GE (upto 6th floor ) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Installation of rebar by using Hilti hammer drill with carbide drill bit,chemical dispensing gun for inserting and using injection mortar chemical Fischer 585 s or equivalent upto minimum depth of (10 x dia of bar ) as in chajja,beam,lintel,column slab and parapet at any height before inserting an anchor bar.Hole must be free from dust debris,water,oil grease complete all as per manufacturers instructions (upto 6th floor ) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
