APPENDIX-B OVERHUALING & RECONDITIONING OF BOILERS

400000 Kcal/hr Thermax Make Thermic Fluid Boiler at Appapura for appom preparation. a) Reconditioning of thermic fluid generator TP-04 including cleaning of coil by using suitable wire brush and wiping the surface with cotton waste, combustion chamber, checking of top and bottom refractory, blower assembly, burner assembly like diffuser plate, electrode assembly, nozzle, photocell mountings, sight glass etc. and reassembling the coil with new standard high quality gaskets and packing. b) Cleaning the diesel tank, fuel line filters, strainers, fuel pump valves and providing proper packing to the valve, NRV, strainers and ensuring trouble free operation. c) Thermic fluid system - cleaning of thermic fluid pipeline falnges and cleaning and re-setting of SLSV, NRV, valves, etc. repairing and re-conditioning of damaged pipeline parts and fittings, providing proper gland packing for valves with fitting arrangement etc. and ensuring leak proof trouble free operation of thermic fluid heater. d) Repair and reconditioning of control panel of boiler ensuring perfect and trouble free operation of all switch gears , control gears and parts like MCBs, contactors, switches, OLRs, visual and alarm monitors, sequence controller, temperature controller, photocell, pressure switch, solenoid, motors, transformer, interconnecting cable etc. and keep the system ready for smooth operation. e) Rectification of minor fluid leaks and pipelines and karas. f) Painting of boiler such as panel board etc. g) Overhauling of thermic fluid pump.

Insulation of steam pipelines using mineral wool covered with chicken mesh and cladded with aluminum sheet of suitable thickness for a total insulation thickness of 50 mm Note: Measurements of above shall be taken over the finished surface of covering on all fitting as mentioned in 9 of IS 74131981 and billed foraccordingly. Valves and flanges shall be charged extra at 2 times and 1.5 times running meter rate respectively.Bend shall be measured from outer radius and will be changed twice of running meter rate of pipe size and will be extra.
