Soil investigation in connection with construction of 12 x Mag with VIFT under the work 'Provision of SASF at Jodhpur Military Station' at Banar. Drilling of bore holes of 100mm dia in any type of soil/rock upto 10.00m depth conducting Standard Penetration Test (SPT) as per IS specification and carry out the following laboratory investigation of soil samples collected by the agency as per SP-36 (Part-I & Part-II, IS-1892, IS-2131, IS-1888, IS-2131 & IS-2720) and preparation and submission of report in quadruplicate :-

Soil investigation in connection with Administrative block (Office), Reception and security office and SWT 225 KL under the work 'Provision of SASF at Jodhpur Military Station' at Banar. Drilling of bore holes of 100mm dia in any type of soil/rock upto 6.00m depth conducting Standard Penetration Test (SPT) as per IS specification and carry out the following laboratory investigation of soil samples collected by the agency as per SP-36 (Part-I & Part-II, IS-1892, IS-2131, IS-1888, IS-2131 & IS-2720) and preparation and submission of report in quadruplicate :-

For item No. 1 & 2

(a) SPT ('N' value). (b) Grain size distribution & analysis. (c) Determination of moisture content, density etc to obtain various soil characteristics. (d) Determination of plasticity characteristics. (e) Direct shear test/ unconfined compression tri-axial test to obtain the value of cohesion and angle of internal friction. (f) The field investigation sampling and laboratory test should comply with the relevant latest IS codes, submitting four copies of report. The report shall broadly include the following :-

(i) Scope of investigation, exploration technique, soil profile, bore log etc. (ii) Recommended SBC for 'Raft' footing for 'MAG' and other buildings as isolated footing separately. SBC will be worked out for these isolated footings of size 1.5m x 1.5m, 1.5m x 2.5m, , 2.0m x 2.5m, 2.0m x 3.0m at different depth of foundation i.e. at 1.50m, 2.00m, and 2.50m (iii) SBC and its calculation based on 'N' value, shear strength and settlement criteria. (iv) Depth of water table (maximum & minimum). (v) Depth of expansive soil & its properties if any. (vi) Recommendation of type foundation for different structure including building for single storied construction and for Mag. (vii) Chemical analysis of soil & recommendation and type of cement to be used for RCC foundation (viii) Recommendation for filing under floors and filling under plinth protection. (ix) Any other recommendations. Note :- The building proposed are ground (MAG with raft foundation) and other bldgs are ground with framed structures (Single Storey Building).

Collection of soil sample from site as per relevant IS and then conducting California Bearing Ratio (CBR) as per IS 2720-Part-16 & Part-31. Based on CBR then suggest the K value as per relevant IS provision.
