Name of Work REPAIR TO ROADS, PATH, ROAD BERMS AND ROAD FURNITURE AT PALAMPUR MIL STATION UNDER GE PALAMPUR.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep and area not exceeding 400sqm complete all as specified.

Removing scarified materialn n exc,50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal watering & well ramming, (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Stone slabs and tiles of any description or thickness in floors, aprons etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Water bound macaadam 150mm thick (Compacted thickness) laid with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) using granite, trap or basalt stone of best quality locally available spread and rolled with 10 to 12 tonnes power roller, each layer will be consolidated separately and to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 10 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, complete all as specified.

Providing premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with 4% binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

M/L for preparation of existing black top surfaces and Applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer (paving bitumen VG-10) @ 5 kg per 10 sqm surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying bituminous premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumin of Grade V-30, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tons power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note : Bituminous premix shall be mixed in hot mix plant and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver.

Painting lines arrows, dashes letters etc on road pavement 2.50mm thick using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint ( white or yellow) mixed with radium glass beads @ 250gm per sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision ( appx temp being 160 degree centigrade at the time of laying incl cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust & other foreign materials, demarcation at site and traffic control. Complete all as specified.
