Material and labour for General maintenance /repair of 200 KVA transformers installed at ICGS Vizhinjam Sub Stations, including disconnecting the HT/LT cables, earth strips etc. from the transformer, draining the complete oil for removing sludge from the tank and removing the top cover, conservator, expulsion tank etc for detecting the leakage and repairing by welding, replacing all the gaskets & neoprene washers for leakage arresting, the HT /LT bushings if required, refill the oil, top up to required level without any extra cost, reassembling the transformer and testing etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Dehydration / filtration of transformer oils of transformer/switch gears to achive die-electric strength not less than 40kv for 1 miniute at 4mm gap as per relevent IS using portable filteration plant including testing of oil for die electric strength before and after filtration complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Test results before and after filteration shall be submitted on completion in tripilicate. (ii) Necessary electricity for filtration plant shall be issued by department,required length of cable/switch etc shall be arranged by the contractor.

Supply and topping up new transformer oil into conservator tank/body tank of transformer using portable filtration plant and directed. Note : (i) The cost of labour and consumables required for replacement of parts shall deem to include in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. Note: Tank shall be cleaned yearly as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

AMF Panel Servicing :- (a) AMF Panel will be maintained for good operation with the existing components. Any components found defective will be renewed and paid under relevant item of schedule. (a) Spares, lubricant, coolant etc required for engine, main alternator & AMF panel will be measured and paid seperately. (b) Charges for Major repairs / top overhauling of engine, rewinding of alternator, alternator major overhauling due to normal wear & tear will be out of scope of the work. However the damages caused due to negligence of the contractor will be made good without any extra cost by the contractor. Note:- (a) Contractors representative / engineer will report to concerned JE E/M in charge of AGE E/M office at fore noon and after noon to collect routine/urgent works related to internal electric supply till completion of work. The work shall be attended by the contractor immediately. The contractor will ensure availability of manpower equipped with all sort of petty items such as insulation tape, galvanised screwes, nuts, bolts, washers etc required to accomplish the job. The contractor will also ensure as availability of every type of requiste T&P items to his trades man. All routne / urgent job slip will be repaired & got signature of user's and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24hrs. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine / urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty caluse given here as under.

(b) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Cahrge more than eight hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge shall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip. The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 8 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 8 hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 200/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforceabove as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding.

(c) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent work at and if the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt.
