The firm shall maintain fire systems in accordance with General Practice & INDIAN STANDARDS. Following checks to be carried out by his trained engineer in every 3 months i.e., quaterly visits in a year, during the contract period at site who shall be deputed as per check schedule for all the equipment in regard to the fire detection and alarm system as per list of equipment installed at Giri Power Station. During routine check following shall be maintain : 1.Visual Check 1.1 Condition of control panel and equipment. 1.2 Correct unobstructed sitting of detectors & call points. 1.3 The defective item shall be replace as and when found necessary for the system healthiness. 2.Control Panel 2.1 Test & Check alarm zone/address/location 2.2 Ancillary functions check and clean the panel 2.3 Stimulate all the functions & indication in the system. 2.4 Check the Signs of moisture ingress or deterioration. 2.5 Checking of Panel i.e. it must be in “ON” Mode, free from any fault indication. 2.6 The defective item shall be replace as and when found necessary for the system healthiness by the firm at his own cost. 3. Detectors 3.1 Test randomly anyone detector or call point of the system. 3.2 Checking the sensor’s Healthiness i.e. “FAULT FREE”. 3.3 The defective sensors shall be replaced immediately for the healthiness of CO2 gas firesuppression and alarm system by the firm at his own cost. 4. Sounders 4.1 Test all alarm sounders. 4.2 The defective sounders shall be replaced immediately for the healthiness of CO2 gasfire suppression and alarm system by the firm at his own cost. 5. Power Supply Units 5.1 Replacement of fuse of suitable rating by the firm at his own cost. 5.2 Check & Replace the battery terminals if required by the firm at his own cost. 5.3 Mains on - battery charging voltage. 5.4 Mains off - check fault alarm 6. Wiring 6.1 Carry out Visual inspection of cables and its accessories. 6.2 The cleaning of cable & removing of fouls found during check and maintain the cable and its accessories in neat and intact for the healthiness of the CO2 gas fire suppression and alarm system. 6.3 Any defect in the control wiring shall be attended by the firm at his own cost 7.Discharge Nozzles & Diaphragm 7.1 Checking of the Diaphragm’s & Nozzles Holes i.e. chocking must be removed. 7.2 The cleaning of nozzle & removing of fouls found during check and maintain the nozzle and its associated parts in neat and intact for proper disposal of gas at the time of CO2 flooding for the healthiness of the CO2 gas fire suppression and alarm system. 8. Documentation 8.1 Preparation & maintaining service report indicating the activities carried out and maintaining certificates provided by the contractor for different activities carried over for the fire mock drill for in presence of fire station officer time to time. 8.2 Maintain the Service Reports and take counter signs from HPSEBL Officers. 9.Cleaning and testing of heat/smoke detectors at regular intervals, Line/loop test of detectors through main panel, testing of repeater panel if any, Mains and battery change over testing, Testing of Batteries Voltage etc. Manual call point testing, Hooter testing, Testing of auto and manual change over & Dummy Discharge test on both mode manual and auto up to the solenoid valve. 10.Abbrevation Cleaning and testing of heat/smoke detectors at regular intervals, Line/loop test of detectors through main panel, testing of repeater panel if any, Mains and battery change over testing, Testing of Batteries Voltage etc. Manual call point testing, Hooter testing, Testing of auto and manual change over & Dummy Discharge test on both mode manual and auto up to the solenoid valve. 11.Refilling of 4No. of N2 Cylinders.
