CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PROVISION OF AREA DRAINAGE SYSTEM FOR ENTIRE NAD AREA BY CONDUCTING TOPOGRAPHICAL AND CONTOUR SURVEYS AT VISAKHAPATNAM

Providing Expertise Consultancy Services for Area Drainage System by conduting Topographical and Contour Surveys of entire NAD, Visakhapatnam Area [Approximate Area - 480 Acres] including Design of suitable Drains for efficient drainage of the Rain/ Storm/ Flood Water, etc. collected from NAD area to existing nearby GVMC Drains including submission of Detailed Project Report duly vetted by any IIT/ NIT / Government University and the consultancy services shall comprises of the following activities and these shall be read in conjunction with the scope of consultancy services, Special Conditions and Consultancy Agreement forming part of the tender documents complete all as specified and as directed:- [a] Conducting of Reconnaissance survey to get broad view of the entire NAD area for planning of Area drainage system and surveys and to identify the details of various structures and utilities like Roads, Streams, Creeks, Hills, Installations, Permanent Structures, etc. [b] Conducting of detailed topographical survey at a Grid Interval of 3.00 m and Contour Interval of 0.50 m using Electronic Total Station to provide accurate base line data showing all existing Permanent Infrastructure/Utilities, including marking/ allocation of boundary, locating all the existing Buildings, Roads, Drains, Green Belt Areas, Hills, Installations etc, getting information about Underground Cables, Sewer Lines, Fire Control Systems etc. from various sources and comparison of the available data at site for confirmation . [c] Flying the levels from the nearest GTS Mark upto the site and establishing Two Permanent Bench Marks on a permanent concrete structure and taking levels at required locations.

[d] Preparation of Location Plan / Site Plan on 1:8000 scale in AUTOCAD format highlighting the existing Buildings, Structures and Installations. [e] Preparation of drawings with all the features like buildings etc. on 1:1000 scale in AUTOCAD format and superimposing the details of underground pipelines and cables in different colours for plotting the details as and when required. [f] Digitalisation of entire data by presenting in different layers to get the complete view and submission of soft copies. [g] Suggestion of location of roads, bridges, culverts, drains, retaining walls etc. to protect from landslides including their design. [h] Design of Suitable Area drainage system confirming to CPHEEO norms for effective drainage of the entire area under normal and high flood conditions / rainfall conditions with reference to the adjacent Flood Channel / GVMC Drains. Data of High flood levels during peak monsoons shall be taken into consideration while designing the drainage system including Suitable structures to protect from floods including their design with suitable foundation shall also be submitted by the consultancy. [i] Drawings shall clearly indicate the flow direction, slope of the drains, Cross section of drains as per the design throughout the length, Under Ground Sumps etc and Pumping Arrangement / System, if required including suggestion of location and design of Under Ground Sumps, Pump Houses and Pumping System etc.if required and protective lining for streams and creeks against erosion and streamlining the flow of streams and creeks. [j] Preparation of Bill of Quantities as per MES Standard Schedule of Rates for the Designed/Suggested Area Drainage System, lining system for streams and creeks, earthwork for filling low lying areas, earthwork excavation required for cutting.

[k] Specific recommendations on feasibility of modifications of existing area drainage system to suit the present requirement, along with calculations and bills of quantities. [l] Preparation of Conceptual Project Report incorporating all the above factors with approximate quantities with maps of topography, contour, geotechnical resolution and recommendations of suitable foundation types based on above test results complete all as directed. NOTES: [i] The design shall be based on 15 minutes interval rain fall data for last 25 years and the consultant shall obtain the data from IMD if the bidders are not having the information readily with them. The rate quoted shall be deemed to include charges for obtaining the data from IMD. [ii] The rate quoted shall be deemed to include for Site clearance involving cutting vegetations, bushes, grass, weeds, etc. to facilitate surveying and geo technical investigation and disposal of all the cut materials at locations within the site area complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. [iii] The approximate area of the NAD, Visakhapatnam mentioned as 480 Acres in the tender documents is for indicative purpose and for guidance only. The contractor has to visit the site and shall assess the area of the NAD, Visakhapatnam and shall take this into cognizance before quoting the tender. In case of any variation in the area specified herein above on completion of the surveying work, the contractor shall have no claim on this account and the rate quoted by the bidder is deemed to include for the entire area of NAD, Visakhapatnam.
