MDPE pipeline laying

Route survey of allotted areas and Preparation /Submission of detailed route plan for approval by EIC in AutoCAD format. Receiving, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of owner supplied MDPE pipes & fittings and other free issue items from IOAGPL designated stock yards to Contractor's own stock-yards/ work-sites. Proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security and insurance cover for the materials. Proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security and insurance cover for the materials. Making trial pits to determine the underground utilities/ services etc., restoration of the abandoned excavation/ trial pits (excavated to depth of 1.00 m or more as per satisfaction to EIC) to original condition, barricading the work area as per the procedures & drawings provided in the tender and as per the directions of EIC / Site-in-charge; uncoiling / stringing of pipes, jointing of the pipe ends/ fittings / Transition fittings/ valves by qualified personnel, using approved electro fusion techniques as per specification.. Entire work shall be executed as per scope of work, specification, PNGRB T4S and/or any other specification as per requirement of statutory authorities.

Installation of Gl sleeves, 2.5" NB x 300 mm length pipe sleeve/ half round concrete sleeves for domestic connections, 3" NB x 300 mm length Gl sleeve for commercial and industrial installations, excavation, breaking through any obstructions, insertion of pipe, sealing the annulus, fixing of the sleeves/RCC Half Round Guard with concrete mix, preparation of pedestal & restoration of excavated pits within the size of pedestal & the same pit with the laying of 20/32 mm dia MDPE pipe as defined in scope of work, technical specification and instruction of ElC/ SIC.

Carrying out GIS Data Collection & Entry at every 12 meters, Pipe fittings / Cut Points /Joints/Crossings/Valves/SR etc. (Latitude / Longitude) With attributes as per satisfaction of Owner and / Or as directed by Engineer I/C. Submission of Data in the GIs format of. Shp,. Kml. Accuracy of the collection of assets / Cut points/ Joints to be in accuracy to be maintained 30cm -60cm. Using Hardware Components like - GNSS Receiver’s - Arrow 100 GNSS Receiver / Spectra Precision Sp20 Receiver / Trimble R2 / Trimble R1 Receiver having Capability to get submeter accuracy 30cm -50cm or better with Indian SBAS-GAGAN Satellite or RTK in Real-time along with Field replaceable Battery in the device. Software Components - Data collection via Mobile application: To digitize the collection of data during construction and provide real-time data in the field.

Flushing, cleaning, pneumatic testing, purging with nitrogen and commissioning as per scope of work, specification and approved procedures providing all tools and tackles, nitrogen, instruments, manpower and other related accessories and as per instructions of the EIC/ SIC. Maintaining the completed pipelines/ installation for any defect, failures during defect liability period.

Handing over the completed works to owner for their operation/ use, returning of all surplus material to owner stores, reconciliation of free issue material area wise and obtaining no objection certificate.

On completion of gas charging of pipelines, preparation and submission of as-built drawings, crossings details, termination, utility graphs and deviation statements. Submission of all documents required for contract closure in numbers as mentioned in contract.

In case more than 1 MDPE pipelines are laid in a common trench, SOR rate of higher dia plus 1/3rd SOR rate of lower dia will be paid.

Excavation for MDPE pipeline in hard surfaces

Definition – Laterite / Hard Rock Excavation “Removal of laterite or large boulders encountered during excavation exceeding 1.0 m in any direction of the trench, which are removable only by chisel / pneumatic chisel / drill, including backfilling with soft/normal soil after sand bedding and padding, as per the scope of work and project specifications, and after prior intimation/approval of the EIC/SIC.”

The scope of this item shall include: • Minimum 300 mm sand bedding and padding (150 mm below the pipeline and 150 mm above the pipeline) in hard rock sections • Supply and laying of warning mat above the pipeline • Backfilling of the trench with normal/soft soil, ensuring that no sharp rocks or boulders are used for backfilling • In case of insufficient cover, PCC (1:3:6) of 150 mm thickness shall be provided, which is also covered under this item.

Breaking of RCC Structure including removal and disposal of the excavated material to the safe location

Restoration of trenches

Restoration to original conditions surface like bituminous/ asphalted road, concrete pavement, RCC pavements, tiles/ slabs/ blocks/ curb stones/ Agra/ Kota stones (chequered/ interlocking etc.), brick lining/ channels pavement as per the scope of work, technical specifications after laying of pipeline in built-up surface, as per the directions of EIC/SIC. Scope includes providing of the approved quality material, testing of materials by third party agencies as per scope of work, technical specification/ CPWD/ IRC standards, submission of the restoration reports, obtaining no objection certificates from the concern local authorities/ statutory authorities/ land owners/ third party inspection agencies designated by land owing agencies and owner.

EIC,asset to provide cross section details of the trench as per statutory agency for restoration as detailed below Restoration for all trenches shall be carried out as per PWD (kerela) Specification irrespective of nature of road.

Fabrication and installation of pipeline RCC route markers/ steel pole markers/ steel plate markers as per the scope of work, specification & PNGRB T4S along the route/ boundary wall, lamp posts including all associated civil works such as excavation and construction in all types of soils, construction of pedestals and grouting with concrete, cleaning, application of approved color and quality of primer and paint, stencil letter cutting of numbers, direction, chainage etc., restoration of area to original condition and performing all works as per scope of work, specification, PNGRB T4S and instructions of EIC/ SIC.

Liasioning with Land Agencies for permission (Optional) bidder will not have any right to claim this amount unless it has been approved in advance by the HO.This line item is optional and IOAGPL’s right. This line item is entirely up to IOAGPL's discretion.

Submission of applications as per approved drawings provided by owner (Initial route survey, preperation of drawings, measuring and providing details of surface type shall be in scope of contractor with approval from owner), obtaining & submission of demand note, coordination, liaisoning, obtaining written permissions from land owing agencies like municipal corporation, PWD, development authority, NHAI, railways and any other government agencies who maintains the public lands. These rates are not applicable for private lands i.e. apartments/ institutions etc.

GI SECTION

Installation of GI service pipe & fittings

Survey of designated area and survey drawings of societies / colonies/ localities shall be provided by the contractor. installation of GI fittings like elbows, tees, unions, sockets, reducers, GI plugs,any other GI fittings, adopter for appliance valves & Anaconda, Domestic Adoptor, GI Sleeves, RCC Crimping Guard, Meter clamp & Pipe clamps etc. as required to complete the job including supply of all consumables like Teflon tape, soldering consumables, flux application and all other required material to complete the job. Excluding only Supply of GI pipes of all dia.,GI fittings, Isolation valve, appliance valve,brass adopter Anaconda, Meters,Regulators,Suraksha hose pipe with clamps,GI sleeves, & GI fittings which shall be issued by Owner as FIM.

Receiving and taking-over as defined in the scope of work & specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of owner supplied GI pipes of all dia.,GI fittings, Isolation valve, appliance valve,brass adopter Anaconda, Meters,Regulators,Suraksha hose pipe with clamps,GI sleeves, GI fittings and other free issue items from owner's designated place(s) of issue to contractor's own stock-yard(s)/ Work Shop(s)/ work-site(s) including proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security & insurance cover, including installation of GI line (alongwith installation of required accessories as mentioned above) of following sizes, including fabrication, consumables, labour and other incidental works and handing over the same after return of the surplus pipes, fittings, valves & other accessories to the owner's designated store; carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works required to make the GI line ready for commissioning as per drawings, specifications, scope of work and other provisions of contract document and instructions of EIC/ SIC, including but not limited to carrying out the following:

Preparation and approval of schedules, execution procedures, sketches

Finalization of optimum route with consent of customer, from transition fitting to cooking oven/ appliance. A tentative sketch shall be prepared and shall be signed by customer, contractor & SIC/ TPIA

Making temporary but stable platforms/ scaffolding / rope ladders and all other safety devices

Installation of Powder Coated GI Pipes & Fittings, Isolation & Appliance Valves including NPT/BSPT threading, Anaconda, Suraksha Hose etc.. painting as specified including installation of regulators and meters.

Supply & Fixing of approved clamps, Dowell Plugs with screws, grout material, suitable thread sealant i.e. Teflon Tape/ lock tight, drilling of holes through wall /tiles / wood/ marble/ Granite etc jointing of PE to aboveground service GI pipes, testing, purging and commissioning of the complete installation.

Touchup/ Painting of entire length of pipe along with fittings after proper surface finish by one coat of approved primer paint and two coats of approved synthetic enamel paint complete as per specification & direction of EIC. Restoring the wall surface to original by cleaning/ touching of corresponding paint to original as per instructions & to satisfaction of the owner. Preparation of laying records, meter reading etc. Reconciliation of free issue material.

Drilling of holes through walls with proper heavy duty hammer drill Machine, tools & tackles, using proper sealant/ grout material & colours to match original, replacement of damages during drilling, restoring the area to original condition to the satisfaction of Owner/ EIC & as per specification for 1/2" & 1" NB in brick wall and RCC wall. PVC sleeve with proper sealant to be provided in the drilled section to protect GI pipe.

All above activities to be carried out as per scope of work, specifications and to the complete satisfaction of consumer & EIC/ SIC.

Handing over the completed works to owner for their operation/ use, returning of all free issue surplus material to owner stores, reconciliation of free issue material area wise and obtaining "no objection certificate" from owner/ EIC/ SIC/ TPIA

Any other activity not mentioned/ covered, explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion/ safety/ statutory/ maintenance of works shall also be covered under scope of work and has to be completed by contractor within specified schedule at no extra cost to owner

Arrangement of all tools, tackles and consumables required to execute the work in an efficient manner.

In case of independent house with single connection, Riser isolation valve can be considered as lateral isolation valve.

NON LMC

Installation, testing & commissioning of powder coated GI riser of 1” & ½” from TF to Riser Isolation Valve, from Riser Isolation Valve upto lateral Isolation Valve by providing plug at all levels upto all floors including supply and fixing of all type of pipe supports/ clamps/ brackets.

Installation of Welded powder coated GI/ MS riser at all length in buidlings above 8 floors and confined spaces like basements by using forged fittings confirming to IS 1239 - Part 2, duly polyester powder coated with 70 micron thickness. GI pipe & required fittings shall be first coupled with threaded joint. Teflon/PTFE tape should not be used in threaded joint for welded riser. Alternatively, plain ended pipes and fittings can also be used for welding in welded riser.The entire riser shall be constructed with SOCKET weld only, threaded joints are permitted only on the laterals on account of workability & for future maintenance only. The electrodes (Welding Rods) used for welding on risers shall be of E 6013 grade & 2.5mm thickness of reputed make used for industrial application. The Vendor is required to provide the Batch Test Certificate (TC) for the electrodes. The Weld joint shall be thoroughly cleaned with wire brush and examined visually for its quality. Welding shall be free from defects like porosity, crack, undercut, incomplete fusion etc. Spatter, slag must be removed from pipe.

Restoring the area/walls to original condition as per specification and to complete satisfaction of consumer and EIC.

Installation, testing & commissioning of 1/2" Powder Coated GI pipe & Fittings with Installation of lateral isolation valve (included) at all length after lateral isolation valve along with installation of regulator, meter with associated inlet & outlet connections/ fittings/ anaconda, supply and fixing of approved meter brackets and other supports upto Appliance Valve (excluded). Installation of Appliance Valve is covered in Conversion of Domestic Appliances.

Installation of 1/2" Powder Coated GI pipe & Fittings up to 5 meters from lateral isolation valve up to appliance valve/gas tap along with meter & regulator installation at domestic household for connecting PNG connection with GI Riser network with end Blind/cap/plug/ (included). After 5 meters,Installation of 1/2" powder coated GI pipe(Threaded) rates will be applicable over and above this rate. Note:- SOR can only be claimed if the complete work is done from LIV(RIV incase of single connection) to appliance valve including installation of meter and regulator)

Conversion of Domestic Appliance

Conversion of all types of LPG kitchen appliances to NG based appliances by installing appliance valve, suraksha hose of 1 meter, changing/ converting nozzles, jets and associated controls for domestic & imported appliances with proper tools & tackles.

Cleaning and performing minor maintenance, greasing etc of appliance, testing/ showing performance to the customer, signing of joint meter records (JMR) and instructing customer on use & safety norms, complete as per scope of work, specifications & to the satisfaction of owner/ EIC/ SIC.

INSTALLATION WORKS

Construction of Foundation & Installation of DRS/ MRS/ Metering Skid/ Service Regulator

Receiving and taking over, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of DRS/ Service Regulator/MRS/ Metering Skid from owner's designated stockyards to site, installation and hooking up with Steel & MDPE pipe.

Installation of DRS with RCC pedestal, foundation and Structural Works. Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete of grade M-20 with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in all types of structures like foundations, pedestals, pedestal bases, pipe supports, sleepers, columns, equipment, foundation, etc. including providing fencing with gate wherever required.

Hook up from the existing steel tapping to DRS inlet and installation of all the items like pipe, fittings, valves, etc. supplied as FIM by owner as per the directions of the EIC/ SIC.

Supply of all materials, fabrication and erection of chain link fencing 2.5 m high with mesh upto 2 m height providing proper bracing & supprots at safe intervals and barbed wire fencing complete in all respect including painting as per technical specification on all steel items, all works as per specification including foundations and RCC beams. The fence shall be suitably earthed as per the IS 3043.The Earthing pit also to be constructed as per the required specification.

Supply fabrication and erection of all types of pipe supports like clamps, saddle, guide, stops, cradles, neoprene sheet, turn buckles, anchors, T-posts, stockade/ trestle and pipe bridge for overhead piping, frames for canopy, approach ladders and platforms, crossover, cable tray supports etc, including painting suitable for highly corrosive area as per specification, labour and supervision & complete work as per drawing, specifications and instructions of EIC/ SIC.

The DRS/ MRS shall be suitably earthed as per the IS 3043.The Earthing pit also to be constructed as per the required specification.

Bolts, nuts, washer, U-clamps, gaskets etc. if required during installation shall be procured and supplied by the contractor within the rate quoted.

Rate quoted in SOR shall include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charged etc. This is a lump sum item rate and shall not be measured & paid separately

CIVIL & STRUCTURAL WORKS

Installation of brick/ RCC valve chambers/ pits

All civil works including excavation of pit, piping supports including best grade bricks used for all walls, PCC and RCC works required for valves pit base & top cover, internal surface plaster, primer & paint coatings on walls, cat ladders & pedestals with insert plates as required sealing of pipe at valve pits, providing metal cover with locking arrangement etc and finishing, clean up and restoration of site, filling and grading of area around the valve station to avoid any local water/ sewage flooding of that area, with provision of separate metal handle to operate valves from above ground as per the approved for construction drawings and specifications as per instruction of EIC/ SIC.

Earth work in excavation and filling to the grades and levels shown in the approved drawings in all kinds of soil including for road embankments, using approved quality good earth from designated borrow area, for all heights and depths including clearing and stripping (Min. 150 mm) of the area marked for filling, taking spot levels, consolidating the exposed natural soil surface, excavating the earth from borrow area loading, transporting & unloading, spreading in layers not exceeding 150 mm thickness, breaking clods, watering (if reqd.), ramming and compacting by manual/ mechanical means to give minimum 95% of modified Proctor's density of earth, testing & dressing including disposal of all unserviceable material all complete as per specifications and directions of EIC/ SIC. Rate to include cost of labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, cost of borrow earth by way of realities, right of way, cess etc., as applicable with all by works and sundry works.

Supplying and laying plain cement concrete (including shuttering of required) in all types of concrete works including levelling courses below foundation, substructure, superstructure, chambers, cable trench, under floors and any other locations, at all levels as per drawings, specifications and directions of EIC/ SIC.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete of grade M-20 with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in all types of structures like foundations, pedestals, pedestal bases, pipe supports, sleepers cable trench including construction joints, bitumen painting on surface in contact with soil, providing and fixing reinforcing steel, shuttering, inserts, finishes etc. at all depths and heights complete as per drawings, specifications and direction of the EIC/ SIC.

Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, supply of all materials, such as minimum 43 grade cement including sulphate resistant cement for sub structures, R/F steel, Inserts, bolts, conduits, bitumen, other minor construction materials, shuttering tanging, earth work in excavation and backfilling using serviceable earth in all conditions shorting bailing and pumping out water, testing of concrete, curing etc. will all bye works and sundry works.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete (M20 Grade) with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in pavement, including preparation of base (i.e. compacted sub grade, 200 thk sand and 50 thk PCC M-10 grade), leaving pockets if necessary, making recess, projections fixing inserts conduit pipes (GI, PVC, HDPE etc.) laying in alternate panels, filling the gaps between the panels with bitumen etc., making slopes, finishing edge, leaving bars for pedestals & sleepers, including providing sand fill isolation, shuttering providing and fixing reinforcing steel, curing, chipping and modification works etc. as specified in any shape, thickness, position and finishing the top surface smooth as per requirement etc. all complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of the EIC/ SIC.

Providing brick work with brick class designation M 5.0 of IS:1077 in cm 1:5 (1 cement 5 sand) in steps, walls, retaining walls and load bearing structures drains, or any shape with all lead, depths & height including curing scaffolding etc., as per specifications and drawings with all bye-woks and direction of the EIC/ SIC.

MDPE Service Line laying in old Projects / O&M areas

Includes laying of pipeline (for 20 & 32mm) in all type of surface i.e. Kutcha, metal, concrete (PCC/RCC), bituminous, tiled, brick lined etc. after breaking up of hard surface of any type by any methodology. Roads, Pavement, Footpaths etc. shall be made motorable once the pipeline is laid.All other activities mentioned in SOR no.1 are applicable.
