REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF LIGHTENING CONDUCTOR, NORMAL EARTHING AND CHEMICAL EARTHING BUILDING SECURITY, AVAIATION LIGHTS OTHER CONNECTED E/M WORKS UNDER GE(NB) VISAKHAAPTNAM

Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level connected to 4.0mm GI wire (up to 7.5 m in length from earth plate ) by means of bolts and nuts checknuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as specified and shown in electrical plate no 5 of SSR part I including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil PCC 1:3:6 type C1 chamber with RCC 1:2:4 type B1 40 mm thick cover with MS rod 8mm dia 150mm long reinforcement, watering funnel, 40 mm dia light grade for protection of earth electrode 20 mm dia for watering including providing charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layers of 15 cm compacted thickness all around the earth electrode, with funnel, wire mesh, aluminium lugs, complete in all respect all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 and other end connected with main switch board or Earthing test point as directed, including necessary earth work and disposal of spoil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and necessary testing on completion inclduing taking down old one complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) On testing after completion if the desired earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be redone at no extra cost (ii) Main earthing lead upto and including 7.5 m or upto Test point shall be measured and paid under this item

All as per item no 01 here-in-above galvanised earth strip of size 32x6 mm complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L Earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600mm x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 m below ground level with the top edge of earth plate at depth not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected with copper earth strip of size 20x3mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers protected by 40mm bore light grade GI pipe, funnel with 20mm bore GI medium grade pipe for watering, wire mesh, including concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, with 40 mm thick Pre-cast R.C.C. (1:2:4) type B-I cover slab (reinforced with 8 mm dia deformed bar @ 10 cm C/C both ways and suitable handle of 12 mm dia round bar), including providing charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layers of 15 cm compacted thickness all around the earth electrode, with funnel, wire mesh, aluminium lugs, complete in all respect all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 and other end connected with main switch board or Earthing test point as directed, including necessary earth work and disposal of spoil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and necessary testing on completion inclduing taking down old one complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. S & F in repairs earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead with galvenised iron strip of size 25x4 mm, fixed to wall on batten or recesses or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, as required complete all specification and directed.

Re-fixing of old serviceable (serviceable strips as obtained from taking down) Copper/ GI/ Aluminium Strip of any size and type after straightening & dressing with and including saddles/ insulators with srews for fixing and making good disturbed strip complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair saddle/insulator for earth strip with fixing arrangement in roof/ wall conductors of building/ hangar complete all as specified and directed.

Brazing of broken/ loose connected copper strip of any size and type not exceeding 3.2 cm in length and not exceeding 6 mm in thickness complete all as specified and directed.
