Running and maintenance of STP as per PCB norms. The work includes, 1).Engaging qualified operator, sewer man, electrician, for the uninterrupted running and maintenance of the plant. 2).The contractor has to provide all consumables for electrical & mechanical plant and machinery, oil and lubricants, chemicals for treatment as per the enclosed schedule. 3).Regular cleaning, disposal of screenings, washing of bar screens and grit channels, washing sludge layer from walls, desilting of tanks once in a year. 4).Fine screens should be free from all obstructions, sludge from the sump be regularly cleaned and the smell of the sludge should not be foul. The final effluent should be free from foul smell or odour. 5).The debris and sludge removed and buried daily and they shall not exposed to atmosphere. 6).The contractor should ensure changing of oil in all the pumps, reactors and gear boxes once in every 3 months. 7).The contractor should ensure bacterial culture in the aeration tank, backwashing of filters once in every 3 months. 8).The contractor should maintain the log book and stock register for chemicals and consumables and must get verified by the overseer. 9).Approximate average quantity of chemicals per day for 120 CMD STP at Boys Hostel. Lime: 7.5 Kg/day, Alum-4 Kg/day ,PAC-2.4 Kg/day, Carbon-3 Kg/day Poly electrolyte- 300 gm/day, Sodium Hypo chlorite- 2.5 Litre/day. The chemicals shall be added in equal intervals. Extra care should be taken at peak hours to flush out the tanks so that no over flow occurs. 10).Any damages to the existing structure during the course of execution shall be got repaired to its original position by the contractor at his risk and cost. 11).The payment will be made by cheque only after satisfactory completion of the work and on receiving the positive test results of the treated sample from the laboratories of School of Environmental Sciences /School of Engineering at the cost of the contractor. 12).Rate is exclusive of GST and GST shall be applied as applicable. 13).Necessary safety and insurance of the labours employed shall be arranged by the contractor as per rules. 14).All T & p; P shall be arranged by the contractor. 15).The contractor should ensure good housekeeping of the plant and its premises.
