M&L for Maintenance and attending complaints / breakdowns at CTW, INS Vishwakarma, BV Yard, SRU, CQAE and MO(V) Old area comprising of LT panels, over head lines / underground LT cables up to main distribution boards at buildings including day to day maintenance of LT panels / Perimeter lights for smooth & trouble free LT power supply including rectification of minor defects to electrical controls gear / accessories as directed by Engr-In -charge. Note : Unit rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of the following:- (a) Attending minor repairs / breakdowns without involving any new (major) materials. (b) Rate quoted shall deemed to include cost to provide tools for attending break down and minor materials like lugs, PVC tapes, including issue / maintaining Job Cards and Complaint registers etc. (c) Major repairs / Break downs involving S&F of materials such as cables, Joints, MCCBs etc are outside the scope of this item and shall be measured and paid separately. (d) Contractor should ensure to carry out the work through qualified Technician / Electrician and assisted by the helper. Necessary tools & plants and transportation charges are deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (e) On completion of the task /attending break down, necessary Job card duly signed by the stake holder shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of external surfaces of LT panel of size from 1000mmx1000mmx400mm to 1200mmx1200mmx500mm by scraping down old rusted paint with steel brush, brooming, rubbing and cleaning including spray painting with two coat of synthetic enamel paint on external surface and marking feeders complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches, not exc 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out all excavated material in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in trenching with soil and including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing of excavated surplus soil to a distance not exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L sand cushioning with clean and dry sand in trenches for protection of UG cable and including punning down complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Punned thickness of sand coushioning shall only measured and paid.

Supply & laying sub class 'B', class designation 75 bricks of old size, laid over sand cushioning along alignment of cable as protection to cable in trenches including taking out old bricks complete all as specified and directed. Note : Sand cushioning will measured and paid seperately.

S&F for GI pipe light grade 50 mm bore galvanised steel tubing, light grade with necessary fittings, laid under road crossing, for cable protection including taking down un-serviceable GI pipe complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting the tarmac / hard standings in road and excavating trenches across the road in size not exceeding 0.45 m wide and 0.6 m depth for laying cable including refilling earth & making good top surface of the disturbed portion with 100mm thick PCC 1:3:6 or bituminous mix as per existing & matching with the surroundings complete all as specified and directed.

M&L PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation, filling and mass concrete including demolition of existing concrete complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & laying LT XLPE insulated, armoured heavy duty electric cable with alumimium conductor, 1100 volts grade, cross sectional area 25 Sqmm x 4 Core, laid in trenches / duct / on pole including taking down existing un-serviceable cable complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for removing electrical connections of 3 / 4 pole Air circuit breaker of capacity 800 to 1600 Amps, 415 V, 50 HZ of any make, strip opening of the ACB, inspecting the parts for serviceability / overhauling complete and carrying out following repairs / maintenance :- a) Cleaning insulation parts including bushings with CTC solution. b) Checking alignment and condition of movable and stationary contacts and adjust them all as per manufacturer's instructional manual. c) Checking the bolts, nuts, washers, cotter pins and all terminal connections are in place and tight, replacing worn-out parts. d) Checking arc chutes for damage and replacing damaged parts. e) Cleaning and lubricating the operating mechanism with light machine oil (SAE-20 or 30) for pins and bearings and with a non-hardening grease for wearing surfaces, adjusting breaker operating mechanism all as per manufacturer's instructional manual, replacing the same if there is excessive wear and tear. f) Checking / inspecting shunt trip coil for serviceability and replacing the same if required. g) Replacing worn or burned contacts, Checking control device free for operation. h) Checking after servicing the circuit breaker to verify the contacts move to the fully opened and fully closed positions, that there is an absence of friction and that the electrical operation is functional. Note : (i) The rate quoted deemed to be inclusive of T&P and minor spares like lubricants, nuts / bolts / washers / pins etc. (ii) Major spares like contacts, shunt trip coil, relays, CTs etc if replaced, shall be measured & paid separately.

Clearing away all bushes, small plants, grass, vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brushwood, undergrowth, roots upto root level including surface dressing n.exc 15 cm deep around and surroundings areas of E/M installations (i.e.Two Pole / Four structures, outdoor-substation yards, pump house & Misc E/M installations etc) and removing rubbish / debris upto a distance of not less than 50 metres outside the periphery of the area under clearance complete all as directed.

M & L for excavating existing cable of size 70 to 300 Sqmm, 3.5/4 core & taking out from its loop of length 3 to 5m, cleaning, cutting of old termination at end and reconnecting the same along with termination at ends with new aluminium lugs of suitable size and refilling of cable trench with existing sand and bricks complete all as directed. Note: The rate quoted shall deemed to inclusive of necessary earth work, excavation, sand coushioning and Bricks for cable protection.
