Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegitation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth upto 30cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50m outside the periphery of the area cleared.

Earthwork in embankment in ordinary soil embankment to be in 20cm layers including ramming, dressing the surface to required levels with half tonne steel or wooden rammer and rolling every third and top most layer in roller 8 to 10 tonne cpacity and including 1.5 mtr lift and all lead (earth shall be brought from a place which including cartage of earth by mechanically transport and T&P labour etc. required for proper completion. earth shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost.

Excavation in foundations in Ordinary Soil (Loam Clay or sand) including lift upto 1.5m. (5 fts.) and lead upto 30 m. (100 fts.) & including filling, watering and ramming of excavated Earth into the trenches or into the Space between the building and sides of foundation trenches or into the space between the building and the sides of foundation trenches or into the plinth and removal and disposal of surplus earth as directed by the engineer-incharges upto a distance of 30m. (100fts.) from the foundation trenches. FOOTINGS, PLINTH BEAM & UGWT

Same as in item No. 01 above but excavation in soil mixed with Moorum,shingle kanker etc, requiring the use of special T&P such as pickaxes : sabbals etc.

Add to item 01 for every additional 30m. (100 fts.) lead or part of 30m. (100 fts.) or for every additional 1.5 m. (5fts.) lift or part of 1.5m. (5fts.).

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, for all lead and lift as directed by Engineer-in-charge

Providing and laying Cement concrete with 4cm gauge approved stone ballast, approved coarse sand and cement in the proportion of 1:4:8 (1 cement ; 4 Coarse sand : 8 graded Stone Ballast 40mm.
