CIVIL Maintenance Works

Earth work in surface excavation (not exceeding 30 cm in depth but exceeding 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) in all kinds of soil including getting out and disposal of excavated earth up to all lead and lift, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Earth work by mechanical / manual means in rough excavaton in all kinds of soil, banking excavated earth, breaking clods, watering,c ompacting at optimum moisture content to 90% of Proctor's density, consolidation and rolling with 8 to 10 tonne power roller in laye rs not exceeding 20 cm thickness and dressing up in embankments for roads, food banks, marginal banks and guide banks or flling up g round depressions, up to all leads and lift.

Excavating trenches of required width in all kinds of soil for pipes, cables, etc. including excavation for sockets, and dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, upto specified depth, including getting out the excavated soil, and then returning the soil as required, in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, including consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering, etc. and disposing of su rplus excavated soil, all work up to any lead & lift as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge : Pipes, cables etc, not exceeding 80 mm dia.

Support in Repair/replacement of kit/kat/HRC fuse bases of different sizes in feeder pillars, main switches, substations, pump house s, residential buildings, public buildings, hospitals, clubs, schools, shopping center and at any other place where special programm es are being organized from time to time for restoring the power supply. Job complete in all respects as per directions of the Engin eer-in-Charge. NOTE: Fuse base of capacity from 16 Amp. To 300 Amp. of any voltage grade will be supplied by Owner .

Support in Measurement of earthing resistance in the station including transportation of earthing electrodes, cables etc. from store s to site, drawing the same into the ground at different points for measuring the earth resistance. The job includes the supply of c onnecting leads, clamps etc. All complete with labour and materials as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer-i n-Charge. NOTE Measuring instruments to be supplied by the Owner.

Attending and rectification of complaint of the following NOTE: All materials & accessories of fittings required for attending the c omplaint shall be supplied by the owner . The Contractor has to take the material from central store/departmental store/site in-Char ge. for attending above complaints. The defective material are to be returned to the Deptt. Stores. Consumables items like PVC tape, cleaning tape, cleaning cloth, CTC etc. are in the scope of contractor. Also application of PVC/M-seal on above fittings to above e ntering of water/insects as per direction of the Engineer-in- Charge.

FLDMs/highway fittings/street light fittings including replacement of lamps, tubes, ignitors, chokes, capacitors, fuses, fuse holder s, gasket, providing/extension rod on lamp holder glass including cleaning of glass or any other accessories required. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Attending complaints of ceiling/ exhaust/ wall mounted/ pedestal/ air circulators/any other type of fans of various sizes/makes incl uding replacement of condensor, regulators etc. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : Condensor and regulators will be supplied by Owner , consumables like PVC tape, cleaning cloth, CTC etc. are to be supplied b y Contractor.

Attending complaint of installation e.g. hand lamps, flood lights, exhaust fans, halogen fittings, smoking booth & other elect. Comp laints & replacement of crocodile clips on earthing leads with a maximum period of one hour from the time of receipt of complaint.

Support in Rectification of circuit fault in FLP/Non FLP junction boxes/DJBs/DBs/switchboards etc. other than in FLDMs including sup ply of minor type of materials costing less than Rs.6.00 in one complaint. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : Materials used by contractor should not exceed Rs.6.00 per complaint. Balance material exceeding R s. 6.00 per complaint shall be supplied by Owner . Also application of PVC putty/M-Seal putty on above fittings, if required, to avo id entering of water/insects as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. Putty will be supplied by Owner .

Transportation of transformer oil anywhere within Station premises in drums of 200 Ls or more from Electrical Workshop/Store to site , pouring transformer oil in transformer tank and returning empty/filled drums from site as given below to Electrical Workshop/Store s etc. including supply of tractor & trailor with man power, driver and fuel etc. required for loading, unloading & transportation o f empty/filled transformer oil drums. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Support in Providing temporary Electrical connection for Hydroblast machines, welding machines & other electrical equipments of vari ous rating/capacity, including bringing, shifting necessary materials (except power cable beyond 5 mtrs, which will be paid seperate ly) from store to site & cleaning these Electrical equipments before connections. The connection will have to be dismantled by contr actor at the end of shutdown and return the materials back to store or any other place as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The co ntractor has to clear the site area after the end of the work. These services may be required to be given by the contractor at site round the clock including laying of cable up to maximum length of 5 mtrs. Support in Cleaning of transformer includes surface cleaning i.e. cleaning of accumulated sticky oil and other dust, oil fins. Support in Repair/replacement of kit/kat/HRC fuse bases of different sizes in feeder pillars, main switches, substations, pump house s, residential buildings, public buildings, hospitals, clubs, schools, shopping center and at any other place where special programm es are being organized from time to time for restoring the power supply. Support in Measurement of earthing resistance in the station including transportation of earthing electrodes, cables etc. from store s to site, drawing the same into the ground at different points for measuring the earth resistance. Attending and rectification of complaint of the following NOTE: All materials & accessories of fittings required for attending the c omplaint shall be supplied by the owner . The Contractor has to take the material from central store/departmental store/site in-Char ge. for attending above complaints. The defective material are to be returned to the Deptt. Stores. Consumables items like PVC tape, cleaning tape, cleaning cloth, CTC etc. are in the scope of contractor. Attending complaint of installation e.g. hand lamps, flood lights, exhaust fans, halogen fittings, smoking booth & other elect. Comp laints & replacement of crocodile clips on earthing leads with a maximum period of one hour from the time of receipt of complaint.

Support in Rectification of circuit fault in FLP/Non FLP junction boxes/DJBs/DBs/switchboards etc. other than in FLDMs including sup ply of minor type of materials costing less than Rs.6.00 in one complaint. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : Materials used by contractor should not exceed Rs.6.00 per complaint. Transportation of transformer oil anywhere within Station premises in drums of 200 Ls or more from Electrical Workshop/Store to site , pouring transformer oil in transformer tank and returning empty/filled drums from site as given below to Electrical Workshop/Store s etc. including supply of tractor & trailor with man power, driver and fuel etc. required for loading, unloading & transportation o f empty/filled transformer oil drums. All complete with labour and materials as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Support in Providing temporary Electrical connection for Hydroblast machines, welding machines & other electrical equipments of vari ous rating/capacity, including bringing, shifting necessary materials (except power cable beyond 5 mtrs, which will be paid seperate ly) from store to site & cleaning these Electrical equipments before connections. The connection will have to be dismantled by contr actor at the end of shutdown and return the materials back to store or any other place as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The co ntractor has to clear the site area after the end of the work. These services may be required to be given by the contractor at site round the clock including laying of cable up to maximum length of 5 mtrs. Support in Cleaning of cable trenches of depth upto 3 meter and width 1.5 meter of cable galleries, sub stations and other locations etc. The job includes lifting of RCC slabs/ Chequerred plates, removing of paper waste jute, mud, or any other unwanted materials l ying in trenches & dumping these waste materials in the nearest dust bin or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge., keeping back RCC slabs/chequerred plates in positions. Application of PVC putty/M-seal putty on lighting fixtures/Jn. Boxes/glands/switch boards etc. to avoid entering water/insects/any o ther type of things as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE: Putty will be supplied by owner .

Cleachning of air filter, removal of dust from cooling coil & condenser by removing the machine from location if re quired. Attending the minor/major leakage of refrigerant gas R- 22/R-12 arresting the leak and recharging the gas. Repair/replacemen t of defective bush/bearing of blower motor including lubrication of blower motor, tightening of all the electrical connection.
