Engaging the Eminent Consultancy for framing of New Design Policy to the Public Works Department with the following objectives. a) People centered design methodology aspects like women, elderly friendly spaces. b) Inclusive building framework. c) Accessibility to all (i.e.) differently abled friendly environment. d) Public buildings to include green building design aspects to improve energy, water efficiency. e) To create thermal comfort in hot and humid zone of Tamil Nadu (i.e.) providing heat buffers through necessary landscape elements. f) To solve parking challenges in public buildings. g) To create suitable shading devices and deflection of hot winds using design elements. h) To frame sustainable built environment. i) To bring synergy in building services like HVAC, Fire - fighting, etc. j) To feature in integrated building managements services. k) To design modern architectural services and traditional architectural services. l) Building norms, setback, height of the building. m) Innovative parking solutions. n) Conservation of heritage structures. o) For building service like HVAC, MEP, Fire-fighting, etc., p)Sustainable and green building methodologies like passive design strategies. q) Energy conservation building code. r) Building material technologies. s) Digital solutions. t) Inclusive aspects of design. u) On landscape elements. v) Building is not a mere built structure of brick and concrete symbolized the cultural identity and heritage of the place.
