Laying of S&T Cables (Signal/Quad/Power) in Kilometre the excavated trench to Drawing No. CON/SK/T/5 or latest. Supply and transportation of 'U' clamps, anchoring of cable at every 10 metres interval with 'U' clamp on trench to Drawing No. CSTE/CON /CABLES/81 or latest. Supply, transportation, and placing of cable demarcating led belt to Drawing No. CON/SK/T/6 or latest punched at an interval of 30 metres and wrapped round each cable throughout the cable route and also at every track/Road/ platform crossing as above specified in Technical Circular No. 2/1988 & 01/2010 issued by CSTE/SER or as per latest guidelines and guarding the cables. Collecting empty drums with left over cable and to be returned to the stores of stock holder. Note: Cables will be meggered before & after its laying by contractor under supervision of Railway representative & Contractor will submit their reports.
Transportation of cables in rolls with or without Drum-Km wooden drums (S&T Cables) from concerned store to the site of works. Note: The unit Drum- KM indicates Drum X length of cable in that drum. It doesn't have any significance over the distance it has to be carried for execution of the work.
Execution of Straight joint on Quad cable/ jelly Numbers filled Telecom cable using Thermo- shrink/Universal jointing kit (RTSF). This includes excavation of cable joint pit of size 1.5 m X 1.5 m X 1.2 m for jointing of cables, back filling and ramming after jointing. After jointing, the cable through test such as insulation test, continuity test etc. to be carried out jointly with Railway Engineer. If any defect or any damage is observed during jointing the contractor has to redo the joint free of cost. Note: In case jointing is required to be done in the Location boxes, then 80% payment will be released.
Supply & laying of 300 mm X 100 mm pre- Metre cast/cast in -situ RCC cable ducts including top cover as per RDSO drawing No. SDO/S&T/RCC DUCT/1018/1 & 2, dated 29.5.23 or latest. Note- The rate is inclusive of all type of transportation including labour till it is placed into trenches. The laying of cables shall be paid separately fulfilling the laying procedure as per above drawings. (Inspection by Representative of Sr.DSTE/CKP)

Mechanised Drilling/Micro Tunnelling under Metre important/ busy metal/concrete road/Railway track and laying of GI pipe including supply (make: TATA/Jindal or better) of min. 75mm inner diameter Grade Medium with Spec. No. IS- 1239, Pt-1, 2004 including supply, Boring and pulling cable upto 110mm dia. at a depth of min. 1 meter as per site condition. This also includes reinstatement of the surface to the original state.
Supply, transportation and fixing of Galvanised Metre Iron Pipe (make: TATA/Jindal or better) with threaded collars (for jointing pipe) of 100 mm nominal bore Specification No. IS: 1239, Pt-1, 2004 thickness 3.6 mm medium grade and fixing on girder bridges as per Drawing No. CON/SK/T/4 or latest including supply and transportation of channel, angle, iron brackets, Steel Nuts and bolts with hole and split pin of proper size for fixing of trough as per above drawings including drawing of cables inside the pipe with masonry work at bridge entry and exit of the Bridge and curing for 72 hours and pipes are to be clamped at min. 1.5 meter apart for S&T Cables. Note: This also includes welding of G.I Pipe & dismantling of released GI Pipe/Trough and released materials should be returned at concerned store. G.I Pipe to be painted with anticorrosive paint with S&T cable to be written on GI pipe. Painting cost included with supply of GI Pipe. (Inspection by Representative of Sr.DSTE/CKP)
Horizontal Drilling by using manual pushing Metre method (also called moling) at minimum depth of 1.5 meter below the formation level of earth as per decision of Engineer in charge. Boring diameter should be atleast 110mm. The ground level shall be considered ignoring the bank height of the bank of the road. Note: DWC/HDPE Pipe Supply is covered under this item. Contactor shall provide all material required for work and adequate nos. of labours for proper laying of cables into the bore. Cable shall be laid cautiously so that it should not get damage due to rough handling & pressure on cable. Payment of boring shall be made only after laying of the cables into DWC/HDPE/GI pipe.
Cement Concrete of proportion 1:3:6 (Cement: cum Sand: Stone chips of 25mm nominal size) for miscellaneous works. Wiring and testing of complete relay rack accommodating all relays as per wiring diagram. Cement, stone chips & sand as required for mounting to be provided by contractor. All materials such as eyelets, Hylam sheets, ferrules, trough etc., if required for modification of rack shall be supplied by the contractor and to be carried out at site with no extra cost to the Railway.

The contractor shall draft terminal analysis chart on the white bond paper of appropriate size & supply wiring materials like eyelets of sizes, trough, condensers and resistances as per required capacity, HV protection cover with fixing top caps and danger symbol, soldering material of approved quality etc. shall be supplied by the contractor. Cement, stone chips and sand as required for mounting CTR, Sand for filling of cable pit and other required masonry work, Sundry materials such as MS plate/angles, MS wiring ladders as per approved Drawing, , Anchor bolt 5/8" X 9" with nut and washers -4 No., Nickel plated screws 2BA X1" with nuts and washers for fixing Hylam sheet, numbers embossed ferrules 2.5 sq. mm, PVC bunching tapes and buttons, paint synthetic enamel of smoke grey colour for painting, MS clamps with bolts and nuts of sizes, D-bracket and 60mm insulator, for fixing cables, screws of sizes as required shall be supplied by the contractor. Execution of Full Apparatus Case with earth Numbers excavation for pit, concrete foundation, surrounding earth work, erection and installation as per Drawing No. Con/SK/T/8 or latest and wiring to be done as per SEM Drawing No.19-D8 or as per direction of site engineer. Supply and fixing of Hylam sheet strip of appropriate size of 3 mm or 6 mm as required with hole for fixing of terminals, fuse blocks, relay and other accessories for signal/track circuit, termination of cable with number embossed ferrules, bunching of cables with PVC tape, proper soldering of cable armour with earth catenary wire, earthing of cable armour as required. Writing & terminal description including Painting of the apparatus case inside and outside after clearing the surface thoroughly and first coating of anticorrosive paint and subsequent two coats of Aluminium paint outside and red oxide inside and lettering etc. This also includes transportation of 25 mm/12mm Hylam sheet for shelf or as required and also includes minor modification in L/Boxes as per site requirement. The contractor shall supply 4 no. of foundation nuts & bolts of size 22 mm dia. x 450 mm long with 2 flat spring washers, with each nut & bolts, sand for filling up cable pit inside the apparatus case including plaster and bolts, nuts, screws, MS Clamps for fixing equipment/cable. Note: - Part payment shall be released after completion of- (i) Foundation- 40%, (ii) Erection - 10%, (iii) Wiring, earthing, testing - 20%, (iv) Painting, writings - 10%, (v) Plastering, sand filling & etc. - 10%, (vi) Commissioning - 10%.

Transportation, installation and charging of 2V Numbers lead acid type Secondary Cell and preparation of electrolyte for each cell. Charging to be done as per OEM's instruction with uninterrupted power supply in presence of Railway representative. After charging, it should be kept at the dedicated location as per use. Note- If power is not available at site of work, charging may be done at nearby location as per convenience of the railway. This includes transportation of uncharged cells at the site of charging, supply of acid, distilled water at the site of charging and transportation of charged cells back to the site of work. Excavation of earth pit, placing & fixing of Earth Numbers electrode with construction of cement enclosure to SEM Drawing No. 19-D6 and drawl of 6 SWG GI/Copper cable from earth electrode to goomties/relay room/cabin/station, etc. and drawl of MS flat 35mm x 6mm for signal post/Location box shall be used as the case may be, including fixing at both ends of the wire/MS flat. This includes the following drawings for each station: (1) Cable layout plan, (2) Cable corrage plan, (3) Location Hut drawing, (4) Termination chart of end goomties and location hut, (5) Traction bonding plan, (6) Contact Analysis Chart, (7) SWRD & GWRD, (8) Equipment Layout Plan, (9) Power Supply arrangement diagram, (10) Relay Disposition chart, (11) Any other drawing as found relevant as per site condition. Office record if online maintenance is not implemented includes the following: (i) Battery History book, (ii) Track Circuiting Register, (iii) Track circuit maintenance Register, (iv) Cable Meggering Register, (v) Signal History Register, (vi) LED Register, (vii) Glued joint/ Block joint Register, (viii) Point machine Maintenance Register, (ix) Joint Inspection Register such as P. Way, Electrical & Signal, (x) Relay Register, (xi) Route cancellation Register, (xii) Relay Room Key Register, (xiii) Emergency Point operation Register, (xiv) Crank Handle Register, (xv) Emergency Route Cancellation Register, (xvi) Axle counter reset register, etc. (xvii) Supply and preparation of SIP where required. Note:-(i) All the diagram will be made on Auto CAD. The paper size of wiring diagram will be A- 3 or as per IRSEM or as per IRSEM. All the drawing and design shall include the copy of production checking, independent checking, first & second level checking, and commissioning copy. Submission of Two sets of prints with all correction for Railway's approval. Approved copy (06 Sets) of all drawings in plastic folders along with the original tracings in spiral bound with editable Auto-CAD file latest version. This includes the following drawings for each station: (1) Cable layout plan, (2) Cable corrage plan, (3) Location Hut drawing, (4) Termination chart of end goomties and location hut, (5) Traction bonding plan, (6) Contact Analysis Chart, (7) SWRD & GWRD, (8) Equipment Layout Plan, (9) Power Supply arrangement diagram, (10) Any other.drawing as found relevant as per site condition. Designing and Plotting of Signalling Interlocking Per SIP Plan(SIP) in AUTOCAD. Two copies of prints with soft copywill be submitted to Railway for checking. If alterations aresuggested/proposed by Railways then again two copiesof prints will be submitted for advance approval after carrying out all the alterations as suggested/proposed by the Railways. HDD: In case of short stretches (less than 100 Metre m in single stretch) Micro Tunnelling through Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) machine, preparation of sites, boring and laying of HDPE pipes of size (Outer/Inner diameter= 50mm/42mm) for crossing of S&T cable through HDPE pipe at bridges/culverts/track crossing/pucca road crossing. Boring trench shall be minimum 3 (three) meter below the surface/river bed and minimum 1 m at track/road/pucca road crossing area etc. This includes supply of permanently lubricated HDPE telecom ducts of equal length as per Specification No. RDSO/SPN/TC /45/2013 REVISION 2.0 with latest amendments. For each HDPE duct the following items are to be supplied as per requirement (a) End plug, (b) Cable sealing plugs, (c) Plastic coupler slip fit/push fit type & (d) End plugs to be provided along with drum. In case the site doesn't allow to perform as per schedule, written approval must be obtained from at least site incharge officer. Note: The boring profile should be recorded and submitted for verification of depth and length of boring.(i) 4 HDPE pipe
Alterations/modifications works on existing Numbers relay rack (Q-series/ Composite Relay Racks)/Cable Termination Racks (CTR) including works of installation, wiring, termination, testing and commissioning. The work includes fixing of aluminium/steel/M. S ladder along with supply as per requirement to accommodate additional plug board, relays, terminals/blocks, terminals, tag blocks, fuses, transformers, bus bars, TW shelves/strips etc. in the existing relay racks/CTR's, 6 mm Hylam sheets of required length for writing terminal description etc. fixing and termination of cables on the relay racks, CTR's with number embossed ferrules, bunching of cables with PVC tapes, earthing of cable armours, covers including painting and lettering, making anti tilting arrangement. Note:- a) Relay rack (Q-series/ Composite Relay Racks) : Payments for alterations in existing relays upto 20 nos. relays & above 20 nos. shall be made 50% & 100% respectively. b) Cable Termination Racks (CTR):- Payments for alterations in existing CTR upto 120 cores & above 120 nos. cores shall be made 50% & 100% respectively.

Shifting/re-locating/opening & refitting during Per Engineering work, fixing, wiring, testing of Detection existing MSDAC DP as per direction of site Point engineer of Railway. This includes excavation of (DP) trenches for fixing of Tx/Rx cable, foundation etc. if required and re-erection of same DP. Note: Track device means 01 DP of MSDAC. Any Rail connect/Track device accessories like nut & bolt, insulation etc. and damage during shifting has to be supplied by the contractor.
Dismantling of old S&T equipment such as lever Station frame, mechanical rod run, FPL, old relay racks, old electrical equipment, Motor points & other structure like signal posts, traffic LC gate gears and others as per site requirement after commissioning of the installation. All released materials are to be transported from concerned site to concerned storest. Note: Before start of the dismantling, a detailed list of the materials which are to be dismantled to be prepared & handed over to the site engineer. (i) For station yard above 5-10 line
Miscellaneous arrangements for NI period Station comprising of a) Temporary goomty/Tent of dimension at least 12'x12' at both side of the station yard and at central panel building, furnished with one table, six chairs, emergency light and mosquito repellent. b) Sufficient temporary lighting arrangement throughout the yard from Sunset to sunrise one day prior, during and post NI work. This includes provision of minimum two DG set of minimum 7.5 KVA capacity and halogen/LED flood lights. The DG sets, consumables materials such as Diesel, Operator etc. has to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. c) Provision of PA System at both the end of the yard, including at central location if required. d) Resting arrangement for atleast 16 staff at night. e) Vehicle for transportation for to and fro movement of S&T staff during NI period. f) Manning of adjacent station to be done by contractor. g) Provision of printing/Xerox copies of drawings, wiring diagram, CTR/ Location box terminal chart, point wiring, MSDAC/track circuit wiring, NI program, Signal wiring, track bonding plan, etc. in a plastic folder. No. of copies depends upon the number of team formed for NI and as per instruction of officer incharge of NI. h) This also includes Free home & Free Starter wiring for NI as per the instruction of site engineer and any other works as assigned from time to time by Railway engineer. (i) More than 200 Routes
Physical tracing and opening/locating of Metre existing working cables by precision digging for diversion of cables in connection with cable clearance for engineering earth work or for utility shifting without interfering the circuits as per the advice of Railway site engineer.
Shifting of existing location boxes to facilitate Numbers earthwork by Engineering department or others by realising of cables from old location boxes and taking into new location boxes. The separation of the two successive insulation studs should be 600mm apart. Note: BRC to be fixed 0.5 mtrs from Room floor as per RDSO/SPN/197 Para 8.5.1(b).all the equipment shall be connected to the nearest point on the BRC using bonding wires routed through the floor of the room. Routing through the floor ensures the shortest path and prevents the earth wire from running parallel to any power/data cables. it is mandatory that a complete close loop has to be formed for BRC.
Digging a trench to a minimum depth of 0.5 Metre meter and laying 50 mm X 6 mm bare Galvanized steel tapeconnecting all the earth pits. Carrying out exothermicweld connections on all the earth electrodes. It shall beensured that the distance between any two earthelectrodes shall be minimum 3 meter (length of the earthelectrode) and maximum up to 6 meter (twice the lengthof the earth electrode) to avoid mutual resistanceeffects. Earth enhancement compound of 10 Kg alongeach meter also to be spread along the Galvanized steeltape. Installation of Single Maintenance Free Earth pit Set as per RDSO Drawing No. SDO / RDSO/ E&B/001 CKP-DIVN- S AND T/SOUTH EASTERN RLY which includes the following, a) Digging/Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia. to the depth of approx. 3 meter. b) Insertion of 3.0 meter electrode and penetrating it minimum 150 mm by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed. (c) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm. (e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm on Earth Electrode for connecting 4 X 35 Sq. mm cables for redundancy. (f) The exothermic welding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms, which includes graphite modules, clamps, weld metal powders etc. (g) The dimension of the chamber will be of 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimension) of RCC with 50mm thick and fine finish, Inspection chamber should be as per IEC 62561-5 or latest. The top RCC cover size shall be 400 mm X 400 mm X 50mm. The date of testing and earth resistance value shall be written on the cover with black base with yellow paint or as per instruction of site Engineer. Note: Installation should be done as per guidelines given in RDSO TAN No. STS/E/TAN/3006, Ver.3.1, Dated: 25.06.2025 or Latest. (i)All materials used for the installation of the earth system shall be anti-corrosive,The installation of Earthing and Bonding for all S&T installations (EI, PI,RRI, Auto Hut, IBS, LC, Telecom hut etc.) shall be as per Annexure-III (a)or (b) (ii)The procedure of Exothermic welding, as outlined in Annexure-IV shall be followed. (iii)The OEM shall be responsible for complete supply, installation &commissioning of the Earthing & Bonding system. (iv) The Pre- commissioning checklist shall be followed during installation.This has been reiterated by this office letter no. RDSOSIG0EnB(GEN)/1/2020 dt. 18.07.2024 and also included in guidelines for earthing, bonding, surge and lightning protection issued on 01.01.2025. (v)Perimetric/Ring Earthing diagram should be painted on suitable Location on wall as per instruction of Site Engineer. (vi)Work to be executed by OEM & after the installation of Earthing & Bonding system. Warranty of such system shall be 60months from date of commissioning.(vii) The overall Earth resistance value for the earth connected with MEEB shall be less than 1 ohm. If necessary multiple earth shall be provided in loop to achieve earth resistance less than 1 Ohm. (viii) The distance between two successive earth electrode shall be not less than 3 meter and more than 6 meter.(ix) It is recommended that, multiple earth pits shall be installed around the perimeter of the building. However, at some locations, it may not be possible to form a perimetric earth around the Relay room, Power supply room and Station master room. In such cases, ring earthing arrangements consisting of interconnected multiple earth electrodes may be installed in the available free space as close as possible to the station building. A Sample drawing is attached as Annexure III for reference. (x) Earth pits shall be installed at least one meter away from building wall. (xi) CKP-DIVN- S AND T/SOUTH EASTERN RLY Minimum 20 meter distance should be maintained between electrical and S&T earth. (xii) Sand filling where requried and suggested by site Engineer.

This conductor shall also be covered with approximately 30 kg of earth enhancement compound for every 3 meters of its length( procured against supply item).

Supply & transportation of SMPS based Set Integrated Power Supply System (Mini IPS for LC gate) as per Specification No. RDSO /SPN /165/2023 Ver. 4.0, Amdt.1 or latest and conforming to SE Railway Drawing No.SK/DRG/OL/SER/237 dated 16.09.2011 along with 2V/120 AH Low maintenance Lead Acid (LMLA) Battery Bank with complete accessories required for installation of IPS Cables: i) Between IPS System to ASM Panel-12 Core x 1.5 sq. mm = 35 mtrs, ii) System to Battery Bank-10 sq. mm =25 mtrs. Tools & Spare: It is to be supplied as per Annexure I & IV of RDSO specification. (Inspection by RDSO)
