Fabrication and Erection of Proposed piping modifications for distribution of DH Air and enlarging the size of existing duct from Bulk Storage to Bagging plant in NP plant, FACT-CD.
Fabrication of Pipes and Mitered bends for DH line from Bulk storage to Bagging at NP Plant. Work Involves: The required materials, pipes, bolts, tools and tackles for the fabrication of pipes and mitered bends for dehumidifier line shall be transported to fabrication yard / site. The pipes and mitered bends shall be fabricated according to suit with site condition and as per the instruction of Engineer-in-charge. Flange joints shall be welded properly at inside and outside (flange joint should be consider as a single joint). Marking, cutting, Edge preparation with single bevel, proper grinding and welding shall be carried out as per the instructions. . Size of pipes and fittings are 100 NB, 200 NB and 600NB. The required length of pipes and fitting [from 0.5 m to 7 mtrs] shall be taken from the store and transported to fabrication yard / site as per the instructions of Engineer - in – Charge. Required no. of Miter bends shall be fabricated as per the drawing no. TS/M/SK 843 and to be tack welded to the duct piece. Fabrication of proper concentric reducer/expander (900 NB to 600 NB, 600 NB to 200 NB or 600 NB to 100 NB, 200 NB to 100 NB), flanges and spool piece for 600NB pipe shall be done by the contractor. Miter bends shall be welded with pipes and should be ready for erection.
Dismatling and Erection of proposed piping modifications for distribution of DH air and enlarging the size of existing duct from Bulk storage to Bagging at NP Plant. Work Involves: Required tools & tackles, Chain Pulley blocks and other materials shall be collected from Workshops/Tool crib for the safe dismantling of existing DH line and its accessories. After getting clearance from Process Dept., necessary arrangements of scaffolding shall be done with proper scaffolding pipes and clamps as per I S standard and as per the site condition. The existing DH air-line shall be dismantled properly and as well as supporting structures as per the instruction. The dismantled units shall be transported to scrap yard and deposited in the appropriate area earmarked. Reusable dismantled materials shall be shifted as per the instruction of the Engineer-in-charge. Necessary / required scaffolding shall be arranged at site for proper / convenient erection and hook up of complete duct. The DH air-line duct shall be lifted / positioned / aligned and to be connected / jointed by flange/welding. If require temporary support shall be given to the new DH air-line duct. The alignment, level, verticality etc. shall be corrected perfectly. All the flange joints shall be tightened properly and put the new DH air-line duct in service without any leak. The flange joints shall be tightened with required gasket / slip plate. If any correction / rework are required to be done during erection and it shall be arranged at site by the contractor without any extra cost. One drain valve should be provided shifted as per the instruction of the Engineer-in-charge. Spool piece shall be provided in case of non availability of 600 NB valve. Pipes shall be painted with two (02) coats of zinc chromate yellow primer of approved make/quality and two (02) coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours of approved make/quality. The surfaces to be painted are to be cleaned manually using wire brush to the extent that entire surface is free from dirt, dust, oil, grease or any foreign material. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints, primers, painting equipments, cleaning equipments, handling charges, scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor's scope. The structural steel after transporting from store to worksite shall be immediately be cleaned and first coat primer shall be applied. The structurals after fabrication and erection shall be applied with second coat of zinc chromate yellow primer after necessary cleaning at all heights and elevations .Two coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours shall be applied one after the other after giving sufficient curing time after each coat applied at all elevations. Any area inaccessible after erection shall be painted beforehand. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints, primers, painting equipments, cleaning equipments, handling charges, scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor's scope.
Fabrication and erection of structural support / stiffeners. Work Involves: The materials, tools and tackles for the fabrication and erection of structural supports shall be transported to site. The required structural supports for DH line shall be fabricated and erected to suit with site condition and as per instruction of Engineer in charge. Erected structurals shall be painted with two (02) coats of zinc chromate yellow primer of approved make/quality and two (02) coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours of approved make/quality. The surfaces to be painted are to be cleaned manually using wire brush to the extent that entire surface is free from dirt, dust, oil, grease or any foreign material. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints, primers, painting equipments, cleaning equipments, handling charges, scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor's scope.
