SCHEDULE 'A' B/R WORKS
Dismantling of structural steel members of hangar door such as channels angle iron flat etc and steel sections of any description by gas cutting or other means all as directed by the Engr-in-charge.
Dismantling of Plain or corrugated steel sheeting, any gauge, thickness, including Nainital or similar pattern roof coverings complete all as specified and as directed by the Enginner-in-Charge.
DESIGN CUM CONSTRUCTION:-Design,Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of self driven Aircraft Hangar door 02 Nos for Hangar T- 54 of size approx 30.80m (length) X 7.50m (height) with the following design criteria/specifications all as specified in particular specification and as directed by Engineer in Charge/GE complete. (a) Building Type : Wind ventilated with roof mounted extractor turbines. (b) Design Wind load : Door to be designed to withstand a minimum wind load for 50m/sec or 180Km/Hour. (c) Outer Cladding : Colour coated 40mm PUF panels having permanently finished Galvalume sheets of thickness not less than 0.5mm on both sides and the outer cladding shall be covered with a minimum 20% area with translucent PVC/multiwall Polycarbonate sheets/toughened Glass Panels. (c) Dust Control : Dust ingress with air from outside must not exceed 75m3/m2 per hour. (d) Door Frame : Structural Steel Sections with corrosion protection meeting C5M standard or equivalent To IS 14428 (1997). (e) Door Frame : Each door leaf shall be of 4m (aprox) in width and maximum upto 6M in width. (f) Door Leaf Overlap : The minimum overlap on each leaf must not be less than 200 mm. (g) Door Leaf Design : Each door leaf must be lightweight and the gross weight not to exceed 2.0 Tons. (h) Door Opening : Horizontally sliding-biparting door, individual leafs to move in either direction. (j) No of Tracks : The door system must run on a maximum of 4 parallel tracks. (k) Safety devices : Touch Safety Edge to prevent accidental damage to the passing aircraft. Magnetic sensors along the track to prevent hard impact to the hangar sides. Laser controlled devices to prevent collision of two leafs travelling on single track are to be provided. (l) Door Pocket Frame : Necessary support structure to be designed & provided by the Door supplier.
(m) Power Drive Operation : Electric geared motor unit with deadman's control to be mounted within the width of each leaf. The drive units will not have any motor more than 2 HP.(n) Operatioanl Reliability : No loose hanging festooned cables are to be used. The power supply & Control signals to the door are to be delivered to the individual leafs via an enclosed buzz bar system. (o) Operational Reliability : The door must be designed in a such way that it can withstand the vertical deflection in the Hangar building due to Thermal expansion and or wind pressure. (p) Manual Operations : Manual change over must be possible with an easy to operate lever.The door leaf should be easily pushed by 2 person with a force not exceeding 40 Kg force. (q) Drainage Channels : The rainwater collected in the door area must be efficiently drained through the bottom tracks. (r) Wicket Door : A pass door/wicket door shall be provided of approximate size 1000mm x 2000mm to enable personal access. Personal door shall be provided with safety sensor system to prevent Hangar Door leaf operation when personnel door is open. The door cladding shall be of same as the door-leaf cladding. (s) Design & execuction of suitable Steel/Light weight structure/Portal and its foundation to support the door portal structure/ hanger door based on the actual soil report data [Enclosed as Appendix 'C']and the design shall be vetted by IIT/NIT. (t) provision of covered or embeded storm water drain to swiftly evacuate the rain water collected within the bottom rail. (u) Provision of precoated corrugated galvalume sheeting 0.50 mm thick to cover the gap between existing hangar and the new portal frame structure in all sides as required at site and as directed by Engineer in charge.(v) Any damage occuring to the existing structure/ floor etc. during execution shall be made good by the contractor using either the same specification or superior specification to the satisfaction of Engineer in Charge./GE
(w) The complete design and erection of hangar door structure, door leafs, portal frame, goal post etc shall be independent from existing structure which should be self supportive and does not transfer any hung loads or forces exerting to the existing Hangar building structure. (x) The entire design and drawings of Hangar doors, portal structure, goal post etc. including the suitable RCC foundation has to be checked, certified as per applicable IS codes and vetted by IIT or NIT and there after it shall be got approved from Accepting Officer before commencement of work.(y) The quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of supporting structure its foundation, hangar gates , E/M works and rail on which the hangar gate moves and painting of entire door with epoxy paint of approved shade over epoxy primer. B/R Items below rail and PQC will be measured and paid seperately. (z) The quoted rate shall include carrying out maintanance and repairing of hangar during defect liability period of 03 years from the certified date of completion of work.

The panel shall be weather proof, dust and vermin proof IP-54 class protection and fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet duly powder coated after seven tank process with suitable space / grooves for cable entry and exit. the panel shall be both front opening centre opening doors on hinges with industrial type locking arrangments type adequate space all around acessories complete with multilayer layer chambers to accomodate each LT switchgears and measuring instruments as furnished below and including internal wiring in the panel with PVC insulated multi stranded copper conductor cable 1100 Volt grade IS 694 marked or PVC sleeved copper strips of appropriate size as per standard practices and comprising of followings acessories:-
