Complete Restoration work of CHEP-I and accessories as per detailed scope of work mentioned in SBD

Turbine & Associated Components Runner including Buckets Replacement of old and Supply and Installation of new speed sensors along with connecting cables compatible with existing associated components and other allied works

Buckets: • Sandblasting, primer coating, and finishing with an epoxy paint with marine grade be carried out on entire installation for the effective refurbishment and long-term protection. • Proper surface preparation is ensured before coating performance

Runner Housing, Turbine chamber and Shield Plate Refurbishment of runner housing including sand blasting and Epoxy painting with marine grade inclusive of all material and allied works

Replacement of old and Supply and Installation of new of existing MS Shield Plate and nut bolts with new one of SS material and application of High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) Coating on new Shield plates only

Replacement of old damaged seals and Supply and Installation of new seals ( NBR Shore 70) and packing with new rubberized cork sheets and welding wherever required

Replacement of old and Supply and Installation of new nut bolts . Note: During refurbishment /repair/ replacement, Utmost care shall be taken for civil associated structures and same be repaired in well manner accordingly wherever required

Drive End (DE) Bearing Replacement of existing bearings with new one and other allied works including supply, Installation, alignment, rechecking and allied mandatory tests of shafts, bearing housing and bearing covers and insitu minor repairs to shaft (if reqd after removal of bearings). Complete housing along with bearing to be replaced

Brake Jet System Replacement of old and Supply / Installation of new of complete braking system and its integration with the existing OPU system including all piping works, auxiliaries, other allied associated works and integration with the digital governor system. The nozzle for brake jet is to be replaced. i. The hydraulic valve utilized for turning the water jet on/off shall be replaced along with the Supply installation testing and commission of new hydraulic pipeline from the OPU. ii. The SITC of complete braking system and its integration with the OPU system & integrated with the digital governor system and same be taken up before restoration of the machines. iii. Restoration of brake jet system be interfaced and integrated with Governor for all 4 units. iv. Supply of other auxiliaries like piping and other details of braking system shall be compatible with the system v. Replacement of damaged brake jet system with new one, compatible with the system.

vi. In addition to above, at least 1 no. sets be kept as spare to tackle any eventuality in future. Nozzle and operating mechanism, directional/solenoid valves, hoses with unions, operating valves as installed in new brake jet system all sensors as installed in the new brake jet system along with associated gauges, filters, gasket, seal etc to be supplied as spare.

Nozzle Seat Ring, Needle Tip (Bottom & Upper side) and Deflectors To enhance the life of nozzle seat ring, it is recommended to replace all the parts of brass material of this equipment and consider using stainless steel material, with HVOF coating instead of brass. Additionally, applying HP-HVOF coating to the needle tip is recommended for improved durability and erosion resistance. Replacement of Existing 2 (two ) Nos. Nozzles, Seat rings 2 no's and Deflectors 2no's including Deflector rod and connecting pins in each machine with supply and installation of new one of SS material and HVOF coating thereof. Setting Alignment and other allied works. SS material should specifically be of ASTM A240 UNS 41500 with HVOF or F6NM (13 Cr-4Ni) with HVOF or X3CrNiMo13-4+QT780 with HVOF or Gx4CrNi13-4+QT780. Replacement of Complete nozzle assembly (excluding housing) with HVOF Coating wherever applicable.
