Interiors (Fit-outs, Readymade and Bespoke Readymade Furniture works) for New Academic Block and Sports Complex at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (Phase-I)

Part-A - Fit-out Works : (From Serial No.: 100 to 902) Note : Contractor shall prepare and submit shop drawings for all false ceiling, wall paneling, partion works after coordination with various services for further approval from Architect and Engineer in Charge prior to full fledge execution of work. Contractor shall present and get approval from Architect on Samples of all loose materials prior to procurement of material. A Mock up of all finshing items to be prepared by Contractor as per approved shop drawings and loose sample for further review and comments / confirmation from Architect and Engineer in Charge prior to full fledge execution. Once the mock up is approved, the execution shall be carried out as per approved mock-up only. Contractor shall have to co-ordinate for provision of all services in wall panelling / ceiling work i.e. making openings for light fittings, switch board, electrical points, grills, diffusers, cut-outs, provision of addition framing member for strengthening etc. up to a satisfaction of Architect and Engineer in charge. Additional packing (Wherever required) shall be provided in framing to flush/ match the level of wall panelling work. In case of wall paneling, if any switch board or electrical point is already executed on wall, Contractor shall have to do necessary shifting / relocation of the same to wall paneling in safe and best workmanship manner without any extra cost.All wood shall be first class Ghana teak wood (as approved by the Architect and Engineer in charge). The veneer shall have ply base having minimum flitch / slice thickness of 0.3 mm and categary type - 1 (of same batch, same lot and matching grain) confirming to IS 1328 (type -1). Quoted rate shall be applicable for all all floor, all height, all level including necessary scaffolding and staging etc complete. Rate shall be inclusive of all material including of all type wastage. Contractor shall take utmost care with all necessary precautions / measures to safe guard the existing finishes / surfaces (already finishied / executed by other agency) during entire period of execution without any extra cost. In case of any damage occurs in existing finshes / surfaces the same needs to be rectified by Contractor up to satisfaction of Architect and Engineer in Charge without any extra cost. All signages / symbol / logo shall be as per IIM Standards and as approved by IIM. All wooden and veneer surface shall be finished with PU polish. Rate shall be inclusive of PU polish for all elements. Exterior grade water base PU (Poly Urethene) polish of approved make and shade having clear matt / glossy / semi gloss finish shall be applied over external / internal wooden and / or veneered surfaces as per specification, drawing and as recommneded by Architect. Polish work shall be carried out as per following steps: 1) Sand papering the surface with different grade of paper as required. 2) Applying base coat with compatible wooden primer 3) Applying stainer coat of approved shade (for polish with specified shade) 4) Applying three subsequent coats of PU polish followed by sand papering with sand paper. 5) In case of dupication of item, payment will be made only once. 6) Wood / Ply in contact with wall (non-exposed side) to be painted with bitumin paint at no extra cost. 7) The floor protection to be considered for the project execution at no extra cost.

Wall Paneling Works

GI Framing for wall panelling Providing and fixing of Close stud / C stud type wall panelling framing system of approved make, All member of framing system shall be as per IS 513 CR1 grade, Zinc coating. System includes 48x0.6 mm closed/ C stud shall be placed at 600 c/c in vertical direction and horizontal direction member at junction of board, in 50x0.5mm floor and ceiling channel. Floor channel shall be cut & bend and braced with Wall and closed stud at every 900mm c/c vertically. Floor & Ceiling channel is anchored to the floor & True ceiling using Rail plug of size Ø8x45mm/ required size of anchor fasteners of approved make having Pull Out Load-7.5kN at 600mm c/c in centreline manner. A noggin channel made of 48x0.6mm closed stud/ C stud and installed with L angle cleat of required size has to be provided at the horizontal joints of the two ply/ other type of sheet. Screw fixing is done only mechanically either with screw driver or drilling machine with suitable attachment. Contractor shall co-ordinate the services work in framing as per drawing and as directed by engineer in charge. Total framing system shall be in plumb, line and level to receive the ply or other sheet for panelling work. Rate shall be only for framing system of wall panelling etc. complete for all floor all height, all level. Area of panelling (framing to be made for) shall be measured for payment without considering any wastage.

Providing and fixiing BWP ply (IS-710) of following thickness as per approved make having minimum density of 600 kg/cum and E-0 for plain linining, cladding, ceiling or any other interior work with necessary adhesive, screws etc complete as per approved drawings and as directed by Engineer - in - Charge. The out to out area of installed ply shall be measured and considered for payment without any wastage.

A) 12mm thick BWP Ply

B) 19mm thick BWP Ply

Veneer Providing and fixing 4mm thick decorative Teak veneer (single side) of approved make and shade for plain lining / cladding / ceiling work/ flush door or any other interior works as specified in drawing and approved by Architect and Engineer in charge. The veneer shall have ply base having minimum flitch / slice thickness of 0.3 mm and categary type - 1 (of same batch, same lot and matching grain) confirming to IS 1328 (type -1). The veneer shall be factory pressed with door shutter or ply for interior works etc with necessary screws, adhesives and without any bubble, cracks etc complete as per approved sample and shop drawings. A mock up needs to be get approved by Architect and Engineer in Charge prior to full fledge execution. All veneer and wooden surface shall be finished with PU polish as per specification. The out to out dimensions of installed veneer surface shall be measured and considered for payment without any wastage. The rate shall be inclusive of (but not limited to) veneer, wooden lipping (for plywood work / flush door), PU polish, necessary screws, adhesives, scaffolding, tools / tackles etc complete required for installation of veneer for all floor, all height, all level and up to satisfaction of Architect and Engineer - in Charge.

Laminate Providing & Fixing high pressure (factory pressed) decorative type 1 mm thick laminate of plain / wood grain in gloss / matt / suede finish of approved make and shade with high density protective surface layer and reverse side of adhesive bonding quality conforming to IS : 2046 Type S as per drawing / instructed by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The rate shall be inclusive of adhesive, screws, wooden lipping (for plywood work / flush door), etc complete as per approved sample mock up for all floor, all hight and all levels. Laminated shall be applied on door shutter, wall paneling, ceiling, furniture etc.

Acoustic Fabric Paneling Work Providing and fixing of 13.5 mm thick 'Silence panel or equivalent' Acoustic and Sound Absorption Panel System, of required size, manufactured from 100% polyester fibers/ poly propylene/ polyethylene terephthalate panel. Fibers Needle punched and thermally bonded in a non – woven matrix semi rigid specifically tooled and pressed for maximum sound absorption, with 70% NRC (0.70 NRC) and meets the British Fire Rating Standards BS 476 standard Class 1Y, Class P, Fire Propagation index = 9.2, with 0.006% moisture absorption (will not rot or smell) in grey and white color fibers, which is UV stabilized, non allergic and non toxic. 'Silence panel or equivalent' Acoustic and Sound Absorption Panel System is to be fixed on ply panelling work, which shall create true line and level with screws, fixed horizontally or vertically (as per architectural design). Acoustic and Sound Absorption Panel System shall be covered with a tightly stretch open cell fabric over the entire panel including all sides.

Simple / Designer Fabric shall be of approved make and shade as per the drawing in any pattern, any size and as per approved sample. Fabric shall be covered on acoustic panel for wall paneling in required pattern with all necessary stitching, adhesives, screws etc. Rate shall also be inclusive of lipping of required size all around the exposed edges of panel, labor, necessary hardware, adhesives and PU polish over the exposed wooden member etc. but excluding the cost of ply panelling and framing. The rates shall be inclusive of all wastages, fixing in position for all heights, all floor, all level, scafolding etc. complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. Only elevation area of panel shall be measured and paid in sqmt. Sample, shop drawing and mock-up shall be approved by Architect.

Acoustic Panelling Work with Plain (in single colour) Fabric (Basic rate of fabric - Rs.1,000 per sqm)

Acoustic Panelling Work with Designer (in pattern and multiple colour) Fabric (Basic rate of designer fabrics - Rs.3,500/ Sqm)

Gypsum panelling : Providing and fixing 12.5mm thick Fire resistant Gypsum board single layer wall lining as directed by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The Gypsum board shall confirm to IS 2095 Part 1: 2011 / EN520:2004, type F / ASTM C 1396, type X of approved make. The Gypsum board shall be fixed with drywall screws of 25mm over GI Framing with the help of metal to metal screw / drywall screw havgin staggered joints to avoid leakage through joints. The joints between Gypsum board should be provided over GI Frame only and to be screwed at maximum 300mm c/c to the frame. The square and tapered edges of the boards shall be jointed and finished with filling of jointing compund and joint paper tape per manufacturer specification/ recommendation for all floor all level, so as to provide smooth surface which can receive painintg up to satisfaction of Engineer in Charge. The framing shall be measured and paid under relevant tender items. Out to out dimension of Gypsum wall panelling shall be measured and considered for necessary payment including all screws, jointing material, tape, tools, tackles, scaffolding, sampling, mock up, wastage etc. complete.

Mirror with Wooden Frame Providing and fixing 6mm thick mirror of approved make in any shape and sizes as per drawing with kiln seasoned and termite treated first class quality teak wooden frame of specified size over the existing ply panelling as approved by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The glass shall be fixed with silicon sealant / 3M tape. The wooden frame shall be fixed at periphery of glass in good workman ship manner. The frame shall be finished with exterior grade water base Poly urethane (PU) polish of clear matt / glossy / semi gloss finish of approved make and shade as approved by Architect. Out to out area of mirror with wooden frame shall be considered for payment without any wastage.The rate shall be inclusive of mirror, wooden frame, PU polish, sealant, double side tape and all required accessories. Only ply panelling with framing shall be measured and paid in relevant tender item.

Solid Wooden batten paneling Providing and fixing Acoustic strip type teak wood batten paneling as per approved shop drawing. The paneling work shall be executed as per follwoing provisions: 1) Metal framing (MS/Aluminium/ GI close stud) framing system should be provided in proper line and level as per relevant tender item. 2) 19mm thick IS 710 BWP plywood shall be fixed over metal framing with SS 304 screws, fastner of approved make. 3) 13.5 mm thick Acoustic and Sound Absorption Panel System of silence panel or equivalent, of required size, manufactured from 100% polyester fibers/ poly propylene/ polyethylene terephthalate panel. Acoustic and Sound Absorption Panel shall be covered with Fabric and to be fixed on ply wood with 6mm thick teak wood beading at end of panel. 4) 25mm x 40mm (finished size) first class teak wood strips / battens of even shade and necessary anti termite treatement shall be fixed in true line and level on ply with fabric panel as per drawing with help of screws, nuts, fasteners, adhesive etc. complete. 5) All wooden surfaces shall be polished with external grade PU polish as per specifications. The rate shall be inclusive of 19mm plywood, teak wood battens, fabric, acoustic panel, fastner, screws, adhesive, PU polish, scaffolding, sampling, mock up etc. complete. The metal framing shall be measured and paid in relevant tender items. Contractor shall prepare shop drawings coordintating with services and get approval from Architect and Engineer charge prior to full fledge execution of accoustic wall paneling. Only out to out elevation area of teak wood battens (including gap between two batten) shall be measured for payment. Basic rate of Fabric - Rs. 1000/sqm

Dry Wall Partiiton System Providing and fixing 100mm thick double layered dry wall partition system of approved make which includes inner layer of tapered edge minimum 12.5mm thick Fire Resistent Gypsum Board having density of minimum 790 kg/m3 (conforming to IS 2095 Part 1 : 2011/ EN520::2004, TYPE-F/ ASTM C1396, TYPE X) and outer layer of tapered edge 12.5mm thick Calcium sulphate dihydrate encased in paper liners, with glass fibers and other additives having density minimum 900 kg/m3 of approximate size 1200 x 2400mm, complies with EN 520:2004 – Type A, D, R, I, Thermal Conductivity: 0.24 w/mºK, Thermal resistance: 0.05 m2K/w. Framing system - GI framing system is consist of Close stud/ C stud of size approximate 48 x 0.5mm as per IS 513 having Y/S-minimum 230 Mpa, and Finish- AZ150 (IS 15961). Stud shall be placed at 600mm c/c in 50x0.5mm (approx) floor and ceiling channel. Floor & Ceiling channel is anchored to the floor & ceiling using zinc coated Rawl plug of size Ø8x45mm and having Pull out Load -7.5kN / anchor fasteners of required capacity as per manufactirer's specification at 600mm c/c in zigzag manner. Floor channel to be wrapped with 70µ Self Adhesive LDPE moisture barrier film to further improve corrosion resistance performance. A nogging channel of 48x0.5mm width has to be provided at the horizontal joints of the two boards. 50mm thick Glass wool slab of density 20kg/m³ with black glass fiber cloth with holding clip shall be used to hold Glass wool slab in its position.

Gypsum boards shall be fixed with drywall screws of 25mm/ 35mm at minimum spacing of 600mm at centre and 300mm at periphery. Boards shall be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look which includes filling and finishing with Jointing compound, Joint Paper tape, angle beads at corners. The junction of the partition with masonry/ RCC & all penetration through the partition has to be treated with fire and acoustic sealant of approved make. Contractor shall prepared shop drawing based on concept drawing including services and prepared mock-up of required area. As per approved shop drawing and mock-up, contractor shall start the work. Contractor shall furnished certification of entire system for STC 48 (acoustic level) and 120 minutes Fire rating or to the desired level. Rate shall be included for the cost of making openings for light fittings, switch board, any other services cutouts made with frame of perimeter member suitably fixed etc complete for all level all height and as directed by the Engineer in Charge but excluding the cost of painting work. All Openings cut outs & periphery shall be treated with Fire & acoustical sealant. Out to out area shall be measured for payment without considering any wastage, without deducting service cutouts etc complete for all floor all height. Contractor shall furnish 120 minutes Fire rating and acoustic certification.

Soft Board with Fabric Providing and fixing 12mm thick soft board with fabric in line and level as per approved shop drawing and as directed by Engineer in Charge. The fabric shall be of approved make and shade in required pattern (including stitching - if required) as per drawing and approved during sampling on front side of soft board. The softboard having all composed core without gaps and overlapped on ply with 12mm teak wood beading having specified polish to be fixed to partition with suitable size SS Screws or equivalent Two way adhesive tape or with adhesive in such a way that screws are not visible from the front side of soft board as per drawing and as directed by engineer in charge. Only the clear elevation area of the soft board with lipping / beading shall be measured and considerd for payment. The quoted rate shall be inclusvie of softboard, fabric, lipping, PU polish, labour, wastage, sampling, mock up, tool tackles, scaffolding etc compleing and fixing in position for all height, all level and all floors. Cost of ply paneling shall be paid in relevent tender items. Basic rate of fabric shall be Rs. 1000 per sqm

Wooden logo/ symbol Providing and fixing average 35 to 40mm thick wood logo/ symbol (through panel/ carving) as per concept design and made out of first class teak wood as per approved sample. Jali may be 2D or 3D in design. Contractor shall prepare shop drawing (scale - 1:1) based on concept design/intent image for approval. Contractor shall prepare sample/ prototype as per approved shop drawing and shall be approved by IIMA. Through cut/ jali work shall be prepared with CNC machine/ manual according to the design. Area of finished jali panel shall be measured for payment. Wooden logo shall be finished with PU polish and rate shall be inclusive for the same.

Brass Work Providing and fixing brass or bronze casting work for logo, symbol or other similar work as per conceptual design proposed by Architect. Contractor shall prepared shop drawing based on concept design/intent image and get approval from IIMA prior to full fledge execution. Casted elements shall be fixed with chemical/ mechanical anchor fastener of required number and size on panelling work. Shop drawing shall be submitted along with fixing arrangement as per design and according to the weight of elements. Casted elements shall finish with desired finish as suggested by Architect. Actual weight of casted elements shall be measured for payment. The rate shall be inclusive of necessary screw, adhesive, anchor fasterner, scaffolding, sampling, mock up etc complete for all floor, all hight, all levels.

Vinyl Sticker Providing and fixing PVC film of any size any shape of 180MC 3M make or equivalent shall be RoHS compliant with thickness not more than 60 microns without adhesive. The film shall have grey colored pressure activated adhesive backing. The adhesive shall have non visible air release feature for easy repositionability. The film shall be applied to substrate by dry application method strictly using tools and techniques suggested by manufacturer. The film shall comply to flammability standard ASTM E-84. The graphic manufacturer of the film shall be able to produce a certification for quality assurance from the factory mentioning the lot number as and when demanded. The liner shall made of paper with PE coating on both sides. The film shall be printed (Printing Technology - Latex) using a recommended printing platform, applied with a suitable over laminate film for protection and then installed. The surface preparation and the application shall be done using manufacturers recommended procedures and the warranty shall be provided by manufacturer directly through e warranty process. The laminate to be used of same make and suitable for the vinyl so as the 10 year warranty can be issued by the manufacturer. The manufacturer or it's authorized persons to be consulted at the time of the work. Contractor shall prepare shop drawing based on concept design/ intent image given by Architect. Sample, shop drawing and mock-up shall be approved by IIMA. Rate shall be for all height, all floor, all level.

False Ceiling Works

MS Fabrication Work Providing, fabricating, assembling, hoisting/ erecting and fixing in position MS fabrication work using MS Rolled Sections, Hollow sections, Tubular Sections, MS Plates/ sheet, Chequered Plates, Flats, Bright Bars, Angles, deep threaded MS bolts, threaded J bolts, insert plate, support plate etc as per drawing. all confirming to latest relevant IS codes for the work of steel structures like framing for interior (ceiling, wall panelling and partition) work, platforms, railings, handrail, bracings, brackets, etc. including straightening, cutting, bending, bolting and welding the members all as per structural drawings and as per detailed specifications (for materials & workmanship) including necessary scaffolding/ staging etc. complete in the situations described hereinafter and comprising of : i) Profile Cutting of components to required length/ width and shape/ profile; ii) Smooth grinding/ machining of edges/ faces/ all welding joints; iii) Necessary welding (electric arc welding) for required weld lengths and sizes. iv) Machine drilling of holes for joining/ anchoring. The rate shall include dry sanding, degreasing (wet cleaning) & preparation of rustfree surface manually or mechanically, metal putty to make the surface even and smooth, 1 coat zinc chromate yellow oxide primer and 2 coat of enamel paint of approved make shade of paint over all the surfaces of the steel sections or as specified in the drawing, necessary scaffolding/ staging, zinc coated nut-bolt as required for safety, structural stability of all works at site etc complete for all heights/ all levels/ all floors/ all shapes & sizes with all leads & lifts. (Standard measurements will be paid for as actual cut length used at site)

Note: The contractor shall submit fabrication drawings based on construction drawings (that may be issued during construction period) for approval by the Architect and Engineer in Charge. The fabrication work shall start only after approval of the fabrication drawings submited by contractor. Any change required in the fabrication drawings shall be carried out without any extra cost. Fabrication shall be in a perfect architectural workmanship manner and as provided in section V & VI of IS 800 & IS 7215. Welding shall be carried out by qualified welders/ fabricators only.

Making Perforation Extra for making round / oblong holes - perforation of various sizes of approx. 2mm to 5mm in uniform / random pattern as proposed by Architect on prepressed ply with veneer ceiling / paneling based on approved shop drawing and as approved by Architect and Engineer Charge. The holes shall be made by Computerized CNC machine only keeping the edges of perforation sharp and in good finish. Out to out area of perforated ceiling shall be measured and conisdered for payment. A sample and mock up shall be get approved by Architect and Engineer in Charge prior to full fledge execution. The rate shall be for all floors, at all heights, all shapes including all costs.

Rockwool For Ceiling Providing and fixing thermal insulation with Resin bonded rock wool of approved make conforming to IS: 8183, density 48 kg/m3, 50 mm thick, wrapped in black fiber glass cloth or acoustic non wooven fabric and placed over the false ceiling and each panel held in position by cross- crossing Gl wire of 20 SWG.

Access Panel / Trap Door Providing and fixing ready made powder coated Access panel / trap door of approved make and required size as per drawing. The rate shall be inclusive of inner and outer frame of aluminium, door, push latch, safety cable, removable hinge, intermediate and perimeter channel etc complete for all floor, all height required for smooth functioning of trap door as approved by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The access panel tile material shall match with false ceiling material. Contractor shall submit the technical data sheet of product regarding loading capacity to Engineer in Charge.

1) 600 mm x 1200 mm Access panel

Trap Door For Wooden Ceiling Extra for providing and fixing trap door in wooden ceiling of approximate 1200mm x 1200mm size and double shutter as per drawing. Door shall be installed on wooden false ceiling framing with extra MS suspender with necessary SS 304 hardware like Pivot/ Concealed hinge, reversible hydraulic system, Allen key lock, safety chain (both side) of approved make etc complete as directed by engineer in charge. The location and alignment of the trap door shall be as per false ceiling layout approved by Architect. Rate shall be for all height, all floor and inclusive of required hardware for trap door and cost of extra suspender and beading around trap door for installing the trap door. Area of trap door with frame shall be measured for payment. Trap door shutter material with finish shall be paid in relevant tender item.

Curtains

Roller Curtain Providing and fixing Roll up Black out curtains of approved make, quality and shade, as per approved sample (by Architect). Rate shall be inclusive of all hardware, accessories, scaffolding for all level all height etc complete as directed by Engineer in charge. (Basic rate of Fabric - 1000/ Sqm)

Chik Curtain Providing and fixing Wooven chik curtains of approved make, quality, pattern and shade as per approved sample by Architect. The rate shall be inclusive of all hardware, locking system, accessories, scoffolidng etc complete for all hight, all levels and all floors as directed by Engineer in Charge. The basic rate of curtain system shall be Rs. 1000 per Sqm. Out to out area will be measured for the payment.

Sheer Fabric Wave Pleated (like Arabian Pleat, Ripple fold, pinch pleat, single pleat) & Solid Black out Curtains individual motorized curtain system- Supplying and installing curtain / drapes in pleated style stitched from Sheer & Blackout fabric of approved shade, design,colour approved make fabric which can be motorized operated as per manufacturer's specifications. Two different tracks one for the Sheer and another for the Black out curtain.The tracks should be of Forest brand or Somfy brand and have runners at required distance on which the fabric can be hooked with all necessary connecting parts, etc required as per manufacturer's specifications. The rates shall be inclusive of installation, material cost, labor, wastage, operating system and all tools’ tackles, scaffoldings, hardware necessary edge binding with approved fabric and thread of colour etc. Rate shall be inclusive of water repellant protective coating on the fabric. - Motor: shall be Somfy Ultra Silent or equivalent of approved make & size of Curtains as per project specific requirements with Open/Close/Stop operation of Curtains in a group from remote ( Specially designed for such Projects). Ultra Silent Curtain motor having voltage range of 230V – Frequency 50Hz, ,Radio Frequency 433.42M,Range 20 m with 2 reinforced concrete walls to be passed through, Nominal Torque (nm) 1nm,Adjustable Linear Speed (cm/s) 20cm/s / 17.5cm/s / 15cm/s (default) / 12.5cm/s / 7.5cm/s (silent mode) Sound level (dBA) 45.2 / 43.4 / 39.7 / 37.3/ 29.8 dBA, Maximum Current 0.4 A ,Adjustable Limits,Curtain Maximum Weight capacity upto100kg by using dual tandom motors ,it shall cover upto 50 ft including curved tracks , thier should be provision of cable hiding on the motor.Consider motorized curtain system having approximate size 500mm x 500mm - 2 numbers

Control: control from Remote compatible with multiple technologies (WT/DCT/RTS/RS485) to meet the needs of smart buildings as recommended by the manufacturer. - Accessories: track accessories should be compatible with Motors including silent runners and carriers, Mediusm Duty carriers, rotating eye runner, pullyes, brackets, motor hooks, tracks etc. - Tracks: Forest brand or Somfy brand. - Tapes: Ripple / Tempo / Eliza or equivalent. - Lining: Black out with Flame Retardant, Weight: Painted lead 50g each as per the requirement. - Tieback: Shall be of approved design, size, shade & finish. The rate shall be in square meter for all floors and at all heights including all costs the shop drawing & a sample mock of one window complete with all accessories shall be approved from EIC. Basic Rate of Solid Fabric shall be @ Rs. 1000/sqm Basic Rate of Sheer Fabric shall be @ Rs. 1000/sqm Single elevation area to be measured and paid for the whole work.

Painting & Polishing Works

Paint Providing and applying plastic emulsion paint of interior grade (minimum two coats), having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content of approved make and shade, with highly washable, Anti fungal, anti bacterial, scratch resistant and scrub resistance property, including minimum two coats of suitable primer, applying additional coats wherever required to achieve even shade and colour, scafolding for all height all level etc complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Contractor shall get the sample approval from Architect and Engineer-in-charges.

Special Doors

Aluminium Framing Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, partitions and framing for panelling with extruded built up standard tubular sections / appropriate Z sections, sheet, flat bar and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, having polyester powder coating (minimum thickness of polyester powder coating 50 micron having 5 years warrenty), fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, aluminium snap beading for glazing / paneling, C.P. brass/ stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. Rate shall be inclusive of packing for fixing the frame, backer rod and silicone sealant (both side), dash fastner etc complete for all floor, all height, all level. Only glazing and paneling shall be paid for separately. Actual weight of the installed member shall be considered for payment.

Flush Door Providing and fixing non decorative type, 35mm thick Flush door shutter (unfinished thickness) of approved make with factory pressed laminate / veneer of approved shade by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The ISI marked flush door shutters conforming to IS : 2202 (Part I) having core of block board construction with frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched commercial 3 ply veneering with vertical grains or cross bands and face veneers on both faces of shutters fixed with phenol formaldehyde synthetic type adhesive confirming to IS 848 including 6mm thick teakwood lipping as per finished shutter thickness on all edges of flush door shutters with PU polishing as approved and directed by Architect and Engineer in Charge. The cost of laminates / veneer with PU polishing and all hardware items shall be measured and paid under relevant tender items. Out to out dimension of shutter (without deducting area of vision panel) shall be measured for payment.

Customised flush door Providing and fixing customised shutter of required size within wall partition work as per drawing and as recommended by Architect. Door thickness shall be approximate 80mm thick (same as partition thickness). 1) Door shutter shall be with aluminium framing of 50/60mm x 40/ 50mm size 2) 8mm ply (IS-710 BWP) shall be fixed on both side of framing with necessary screw, fastner, adhesive etc. 3) 4mm thick veneer/ 1mm thick laminates of approved make and shade (match with adjoining partition) shall be fixed on ply and which paid separately. 4) Wooden member shall be fixed on periphery of shutter in full depth and of required width to fix hardware The rate shall be inclusive of shutter material (i.e. aluminium framing, plywood, wooden beading with PU polish, etc) for making and fixing shutter. The cost of laminates / veneer with PU polishing, vision panel, hardware and all hardware items shall be measured and paid under relevant tender items. Out to out dimension of shutter (without deducting area of vision panel) shall be measured for payment.

Wood Work Providing and fixing First class teak wood work in frames of doors, infill in dry wall partition, jambs, door shutters and framing for any type of work (i.e.ceiling, wall panelling), wrought framed and fixed in position with hold fast lugs or with dash fasteners of required dia & length etc for all floor, all level all height as per drawing and as directed by engineer in charge. Rates include PU polish for exposed surface and Bitumen paint for areas coming in contact with the wall.

Glass Providing and fixing glazing in fixed door, panelling and partitions etc. with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of engineer-in-charge. (Cost of wooden framing/ beading shall be paid in relavant tender item). Sample shall be got approved from Architect and Engineer in charge before execution the work. Installed Area of glass shall be measured for payment without considering any wastage. Rate shall be for all height, all floor, all level.

Frosting Process Extra for providing frosting process on glass of any thickness in any pattern as per approved sample. Frosted area of glass shall be measured for payment.

Frosted Film Providing and fixing in position PVC Frosting Glass film of approved make (of any pattern, shade and type) on glass partitions and doors for internal use. Film shall be pasted on glass without any air bubble. The rates shall be for all shapes and all heights with necessary scaffolding complete as per the Architectural drawings and manufacturer's specification & instructions as directed by the Architect and Engineer-in-charge. Film shall be with 10 years warrenty. Actual area shall be measured and considered for payment.

Fire Rated Wooden Door Providing and installing 2 Hours fire rated wooden doors system including fixed panel/ partition of approved make and duly tested for integrity & Insulation as per the IS:3614 part 2 and BS:476 part 20 at FRL CBRI Rookie with standard heating conditions as specified in IS:3809 - 1979 and BS:476 part 20 & 22 1987 to achieve the required integrity & insulation (i.e. to restrict the heat radiation, temperature rise on the non fire side to the maximum of 140 degree Celsius above the ambient temperature on the unexposed surface of the shutter), Superior class hard wood frame of section 150mm x 75mm with 1 nos. of In tumescent strip to take care of Hot smoke size of 20mm x 2mm concealed in the grove of the frame with fixing arrangements of 3 to 4 nos of G.I. hold fast 225mm x 20mm x 4mm with split end on either side and wall grouted with cement concrete, adjustable lugs with split end tail to each jamb alternatively and Anchor Fastener of approved make and required size, 4 nos. of stainless steel ball bearing hinges of SS 304 quality to capable of taking load up to 120 Kg of the shutter with SS pin, lock strike plate, shock absorbers as specified and

56mm thick single/ double leaf shutter made out of perimeter beading of Seasoned teak wood/ hard wood (Moisture contain limited to 18%) of size 100mm x 30mm and 2 nos. of 9mm thick metric engineering fire retardant board duly HOT PRESSED with 4mm Marin Ply to get the require surface for wooden panel/ Veneer/ laminates with 30mm thick Non–combustible Fire Retardant compound and Fire In tumescent Seal of size 20mm x 2mm mounted in the grooves in the shutter on all sides except bottom with 10mm thick teak wood beading on all side and In tumescent sealant is used to seal the gaps between fire retardant Board and shutter beading. Engineered Wooden Flooring Providing and fixing 15mm thick engineered wooden flooring of with pattern of approved type and shade as given by the Architect of approved make and as per manufacture’s specification confirming to British Standards BS EN 14904. Top layer of plank shall be made of minimum 3mm natural Veneer of any shade. Surface of Top layer shall be pre finished with several layer of UV hardened Acrylic lacquer, which shall be free from Formaldehyde and solvents. Flooring plank shall be interlocked using lock and fold system in a glue less floating manner. Engineered wood planks shall be a composition of 3 layer of Pine wood with direction of each layer oriented at right angle to the adjacent layer of natural strain in Lacquer and Non Beveled/ Beveled in length and width as specified. Rate shall be inclusive of 2mm thick underlay sheet as sound barrier and/ or vapor barrier (combination of PE film and extruded foam) and all the accessories like edge strip, joining strip, quarter strip, molding strip, corner strip, etc. required as per design. Uniform gaps shall be left on all sides to allow expansion and contraction of material. The gaps are covered with the help of accessories etc. finished in all respects as per the manufacturers specifications. The floor shall be laid in place with matching original profiles and accessories as approved and as per recommendations of approved manufacturer over base of existing flooring. Rate shall be inclusive of making any cut-out for services, floor matching cover over cut outs etc. complete. The contractor shall get approval of sample and pattern from Architect and Engineer in charge before execution. Area of flooring and elevation sides of stage shall be measured for payment without considering any wastage. Minmum warranty period is 15 years.

Wooden grill door for electric shaft door Providing and fixing grill door made out of first class teak wood as per drawing. Shutter shall be 25 to 30mm thick with 75mm wide top rail, bottom rail, lock rail and style. 15mm x 25mm wooden batten (patti) shall be fixed in shutter frame to make a grill. Shutter shall be fixed with existing wooden frame with required hardware i.e. hinge and shaft lock with alen key. All wooden surface shall be finished with external grade water base PU polish of approved make and as per specification. Out to out dimension of shuuer without frame shall be measured for payment. Rate shall be inclusive of all meterial for wooden shutter, polish but excluding the cost of frame and hardware.

Mosquito net Providing and fixing fly proof stainless steel grade 304 wire gauge with 0.5 mm dia. wire and 1.4mm wide aperture in existing frame with first class teak wood beading with required screw, nails, fastner etc. complete for all floor, all level, all height and as directede by engineer in charge.

Door Closer Providing & fixing hydraulic rack and pinion door closer with standard/ parallel arm, closing force complying with EN 1154 2 - 4 for up to 1200 mm door width (Silver finish) with screws to pivoted/ hinged door of approved make for with minimum one year guarantee. All adjustment screws face fixed. Rate shall be inclusive of fixing with using the template as per manufacturer’s specification & maintain in good working condition until defect liability period. All veneer and wooden surface shall be finished with exterior grade water base PU polish of approved make & shade. Hardware of approved make and finish shall be provided as required. Contractor shall prepare shop drawing based on provided intent drawing and get it approved from Architect / EIC.

Display Unit of 4300 mm Height (ST-24) Providing, fabricating and fixing full height storage unit, made of 19 mm thick BWP ply of grade (IS – 710) finished with 4 mm thick one side decorative veneer (factory pressed with plywood for interior work) conforming to IS: 1328 (type-1) to all sides of approved shade and make. Multiple openable / sliding shutters shall be made of 6 mm thick toughened glass as per approved design. All internal surfaces and adjustable shelf shall be finished in veneer. 6mm thick first class teak wood lipping shall be fixed on all ply edges. External grade water base PU polish is applicable to all internal / external veneer and solid wood surfaces. SS 304 grade required hardware like hinges, stopper, handles, lock, sliding channel etc. shall be provided of approved make and finish. The elevation area of unit shall be measured & paid in Sqm. The rates shall be inclusive of plywood, veneer, solid wood, PU polish, glass, fixing material or adhesive, hardware, labor, wastages, fixing in position for all floor and all heights etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Signages

SS Plate Signs : Providing and fixing SS plate signs on 2mm thick ISI Brushed S.S. Grade 304 plate. All plates will be made in CNC Water Jet Cutting, with all edges smoothen and all corner to be cute round. The letters/signs shall be made of as specified. The font colour, size, type shall be of as per IIMA standars and as specified by EIC. The plate will be fixed on wall/ door shutter/ solid partition etc with the stud/ fastener/ adhesive tape of 3M, jointing sealant as per design as per specification and approved by Architect or Engineer in charge. Only elevation area shall be measured and paid. The rate shall also include cost of scaffolding, drilling, fabrication, finishing, adhesive material etc at all height and all levels as directed by engineer in charge. The contractor should submit the drawings based on concept design and do the sampling and get it approval before execution.

Green Board Providing and fixing magnetic ceramic coated green writing board with particle board backing of required size as per drawing of Alkosign, Signmark or equivalent as approved and up to the satisfaction of the architect / EIC. Fixing details with teakwood beading of "L" shape as per the existing classrooms. Board should have a life time warranty.

Soft Board Providing and fixing of 12 mm thick approved quality soft board of Jolly or approved make with cotton cloth/fabric of approved make and shade on 12m ply of IS 710 BWP grade on existing framing of wall paneling with Indian teak wood beading all around including lacquer polish, as per approved sample and as directed by Architect. The work shall be measured & paid in Sqm for all floors, all level and at all heights including all costs. Out to out elevation area of the soft board shall be measured and paid for specified sizes and pattern as per drawings. The rates shall be inclusive of all material (ply, soft board, fabric, lipping), labour, wastages, lacquer polishing, fixing in position for all heights all level, scaffolding etc. complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. White board Providing and fixing magnetic white writing board of required size as per drawing of Alkosign or equivalent as approved and up to the satisfaction of the architect / EIC.

Customised Notice Board Providing and fixing customised notice board as per approved shop drawing. The work shall be executed as per follwoing provisions: 1) 75mm x 50mm first class superior quality seasoned teak wood strips of even shade and necessary anti termite treatement shall be fixed in true line and level on existing wall as per drawing with help of screws, nuts, fasteners, adhesive etc. complete. 2) 12 mm thick BWP ply (IS-710) as per approved make having minimum density of 600 kg/cum and E-0 or E-1 formaldehyde compliance level shall be fixed on wooden framing for plain linining or any other interior work with necessary adhesive, screws etc complete as per approved drawings and as directed by Engineer - in - Charge. 3) 4mm thick decorative veneer (single side) of approved make and shade shall be fixed on ply for plain lining / cladding or any other interior works as specified in drawing and approved by Architect and Engineer in charge. The veneer shall have ply base having minimum flitch / slice thickness of 0.3 mm and categary type - 1 (of same batch, same lot and matching grain) confirming to IS 1328 (type -1). 4) 12mm thick soft board with fabric in line and level shall be fixed on ply as per approved shop drawing and as directed by Engineer in Charge. The fabric shall be of approved make and shade as per drawing and approved during sampling on front side of soft board. The softboard having all composed core without gaps and overlapped on ply with 12mm teak wood beading having specified polish to be fixed to partition with suitable size SS 304 screws or equivalent two way adhesive tape or with adhesive in such a way that screws are not visible from the front side of soft board as per drawing and as directed by engineer in charge. 5) Green/ white writing board of approved make shall be fixed on ply as directed by engineer in charge. 6) 4mm thick toughened glass shutter of approved make and shade shall be provided and fixed to wooden frame with required hardware like hinges, handle, lock etc. 5) All exposed wooden surfaces and veneer surfaces shall be polished with external grade PU polish as per relevant tender item specifications.

The rate shall be inclusive of teak wood framing, ply, veneer, soft board with fabric, greenboard, toughened glass shutter, polish, screws, adhesive, scaffolding, sampling, mock up etc. complete. Basic rate of fabric shall be Rs. 600 per Sqm. Contractor shall prepare shop drawings coordintating with services and get approval from Architect and Engineer charge prior to full fledge execution of item. Out to out area of notice board shall be measured for payment.

Lift Cladding

Stainless steel cladding Providing, making and fixing SS 304 brush finished 1.5mm sheet cladding on front side wall as per drawing /as per sample approved by Architect and as per instruction of EIC. The SS Sheet shall be brush finished. The ply shall be 19 mm thick, IS 710 and fixed on MS/ aluminium framing of required size and spaced at grid not more than 600 x 600 mm over frame work and/or as per drawing. over ply, 1.5mm SS sheet shall be fixed with compitible adhesive/ sealent and double side tape (3M or equivalent). SS sheet shall bend as per drawing and shall be fixed at front, jambs and lintel bottom in best workmanship manner. Groove shall be provided all round wall and panneling. Neutral grade, metal approved make, and transperent silicone sealant with Polyethylene black colour backer rod shall be provided in the gap between wall and panneling. Rate shall be inclusive of all the material, hardware, accessories, labour, wastage etc for all levels and all floors and for any shape. Actual laid area of SS cladding work shall be meausered in sqm. Rate shall be inclusive of making holes/cutouts of lift operating buttons. Only MS/ aluminium framing work shall be paid in relevant tender items.

Granite Stone Cladding Providing and fixing machine cut, pre-polished, mirror polished 18 mm thick Granite stone (Cera granite stone for lift cladding) slabs of even shade and as per approved sample in cladding work, laid on existing plastered surface and jointed with stone fixing adhesive in minimum 6mm thickness (Confirming to IS 15477) of approved make, including rubbing, finishing and polishing etc complete for all floor all height all level and as directed by Engineer in charge. Rate shall be inclusive of granite (as per approved sample), adhesive for fixing, polishing, champhering, edge polishing, etc complete for all floor, all height, all level.

ST-27 Sports complex reception area storage Approximate size - 2400mm x 510mm x 900mm Supply and installation of storage unit made out of ply and veneer finish with SS / CRS metal legs as per manufacturer specifications. The box shall be made out of ply and veneer finish. The openable / sliding shutters shall be made out of ply + veneer finish with first class teak wood beading all around. All internal surfaces shall be laminate finish of approved make and shade. All wooden and veneer surface shall be finished with exterior grade water base PU polish of approved make & shade. Tables: The classroom tables should consist of pre-manufactured modules that can be assembled on site to form a horse-shoe plan on individual rising tiers as shown in the furniture layout. Each single seater or multiple seater module should provide a laminated work surface of approximately 725mm X 450mm per student with sufficient leg-room below. The understructure of the table should be of powder coated tubular mild steel, anchored to the floor, and should include a vertical apron/modesty panel of perforated mild steel sheet with a first class teak wood frame. The table top should be made from first class teak wood and plywood with 1mm thick laminate and first class teak wood edging. The design of the table modules should include provision of one power outlet per student and wire management for the same. Chairs: The classroom chairs for each student should consist of a swivel base made from powder coated tubular mild steel and anchored to the floor. The super structure should have a cushioned seat and first class teak wood back. The chair should swivel to both left and right of its position of rest to allow the user to move in and out of a sitting position. The chairs should be detailed for easy removal and replacement of the cushioned seats and quick assembly at the time of installation.

T-05 Students Table - Seminar room Approximate size - 3000mm x 450mm x 750mm Supply and installation of table having main table top, metal frame structure, modesty panel shall be made from metal perforated sheet + metal legs. Cable management to be incorporated within the furniture to conceal all cables starting from floor to all desks. Modesty panel shall be made of powder coated perforated sheet of approved make and shade fixed to the table. All internal and external surfaces shall be laminate finish of approved make and shade. All wooden surfaces shall be finished with Monocoat polish of approved by Architect and Engineer-in-Charge.. Furniture item shall be fabricated as per specification.

T-06 Table + Podium (Audi, Seminar Hall and Classroom) Approximate size - 1800mm x 800mm x 750mm (H) maximum upto 1200 mm ht. Supply and installation of Podium having multiple drawer, shutters made out of ply + veneer + laminate + first class teak wood lipping on all ply edges. Podium table shall be with hydraulic system and up-down mechanisam. The podium shall have provision for multimedia connectivity to AV, internet, laptop power, extra power, microphone in table top. All external surfaces shall be veneer finish and internal surfaces shall be laminate finish.All wooden surfaces shall be finished with Monocoat polish of approved by Architect and Engineer-in-Charge.e. Cable management to be incorporated within the furniture to conceal all cables starting from floor to all desks. Hardware like hinges, handles / profile handles, lock, magnet catcher / push to open system, channel for drawers of approved make and finish shall be provided as required. Below structure shall be made of stainless steel member i.e. sheet, hollow section, angle, flat etc. Granite shall be of approved shade, mirror polished, rounded edges, polished edges. The rates shall be inclusive of fixing material, accessories, adhesive, hardware (like hinges, handles/ profile handles, lock, channel for drawers), fabrication, finishing, buffing, wastages, fixing in position for all floor and all heights etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
