400 MHz Fourier Transform-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (FT-NMR) Spectrometer
Use of the Instrument: The Fourier Transform Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (FT-NMR)
machine is required for the elucidation of the structure of organic compounds/ materials.
Apart from this, it is also useful for monitoring organic transformation as well as kinetics of
the organic reactions, for checking purity and quantification of organic compounds.
Therefore, this instrument is highly valuable for research of PhD scholars and P. G. students
of the department and the university. The facility can also be availed by users from other
academic institutions and industries on charge basis.
Part A: Technical Specifications

• The customer is not responsible for any
mishap/breakdown/damage of the equipment while in transport

08 Liquid • Quote for liquid helium refilling for 5 years from the date of
Helium installation of Magnet
Supply • Liquid helium required for the installation shall be arranged by
the vendor. The vendor should also confirm the supply of the
required amount of Liquid helium for its installation and regular
09 Warranty • On site Comprehensive warranty for 5 years (for the
magnet/console or entire machine) from the date of successful
installation of the equipment.
• Original manufacturer warranty certificate must be attached
• The downtime of the instruments will be excluded from the
warranty period
• Warranty shall include free maintenance of the whole equipment
supplied including free replacement of parts. The defects, if any,
shall be attended to on an immediate and urgent basis

times due to any technical reason or faulty design or failure, the
manufacturer will take complete responsibility for the supply
(including transport) of the spares and consumables, till the
magnet is restored to normal and the entire costs for cryogenics,

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TENDER
The Tenderer should invariably submit tender in three sealed covers separately
(1) EMD Cover (2) Technical Bid Cover and (3) Commercial Bid Cover.
EMD cover should contain EMD in form of Demand Draft only, no Multi-city / At -
Par cheque will be considered; for amount as mention in Priced Tender Form (PTF).
The name of the Bank must be mentioned on cover itself. Offer without separate
EMD covers, the technical bid cover will not be opened. THIS MAY PLEASE BE

I) Technical Bid cover should contain copy of Priced Tender Form (PTF) along
with attested copies of GST Registration, PAN Card, AADHAR Card,
Authorization Certificate and other documents as per check list.

3) COMMERCIAL BID
I) Commercial Bid has to be submitted in separate duly sealed envelope. Envelope must
be marked “Commercial Bid for 400 MHz Fourier Transform-Nuclear Magnetic
Resonance (FT-NMR) Spectrometer”.
II) Rates should be quoted including CIF/CIP/GST and FOR destination delivery
should be inclusive of Insurance charges. In case the tenderer fails to provide
such separate details in its quotation, offers will be considered as inclusive of all

1 Minimum THREE years of experience of Supply of the listed item for
tendering in State/ Central Gov Institute. Order copy must be attached as a proof

8 The bidder should ensure that duly furnished hard copy as per checklist
(Annexure-VI) must reach to the office of the H.O.D., Chemistry
Department, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar (Gujarat)-
388120 on or before 04/08/2026, 17.00 hrs. Envelop should be marked as
“Tender for Supply of 400 MHz Fourier Transform-Nuclear Magnetic
Resonance (FT-NMR) Spectrometer”.
9 The supply must be within the delivery period mentioned in the purchase order;
10 The advance payment will not be made under any circumstances. Further, the
payment of the supplies will be made after execution of the complete order.
11 Inability for the supply of goods within the stipulated period of time as per the
specification by the party after placement of an order will lead to forfeiture of
Security Deposit or EMD and you will be black listed with immediate effect.
12 In case of any dispute, decision of Vice chancellor, Sardar Patel University,
Vallabh Vidyanagar shall stand final.
13 The jurisdiction for any legal dispute shall be Anand District court only.
14 If any of the required information is missing, the bid will be rejected straight
away. If any kind of malpractice found regarding the details submitted by the
bidder at any stage of procedure, then the bid will be immediately rejected and
the party will be blacklisted for future endeavours.
15 University reserves all rights to cancel the part or whole bid without giving any

17 Overwriting and corrections should be attested properly. The bid should be
complete in all respects and should be duly signed. Incomplete and unsigned
bids will not be considered at all.
18 Warranty period of the supplied products shall be 5 (FIVE) years from the date
of final acceptance of goods or after completion of installation, commissioning
& testing of goods (if included in the scope of supply), at consignee location.
The seller should guarantee the rectification of goods in case of any break down
during the guarantee period. Seller should have well established Installation,
Commissioning, Training, Troubleshooting and Maintenance Service for
attending the after sales service.
19 The dealers/suppliers will be responsible to clear the consignment at Customs
by their own expenses and also, for SAFE transportation of the items to the
Department while bearing respective charges as described above.
20 The C.I.F. value to nearest airport i.e., Ahmadabad (Gujarat) only with
Insurance coverage up to the Department should be shown in foreign currency.
21 University holds valid Customs Duty Exemption Certificate issued by DSIR,
Govt. of India, New Delhi.
22 If the equipment is to be imported or country of origin is other than India, please
quote the rates in Indian and foreign currency, both.
23 Free installation and demonstration of satisfactory performance of the
instrument / machine / equipment / apparatus and free training for use of these
are to be given at the Department by the Dealers and free warranty service
period starts after the satisfactory installation.
24 During the warranty period, the firm should make at least two inspection visits
per year for the Instrument/Equipment supplied, without any additional charges.
25 Minimum FIVE YEARS’FREE ON SITE WARRANTY (OR WHAT SO
EVER IS DECIDED BY THE UNIVERSITY) including free replacement and
free repairs, without any charges whatsoever, within warranty period is to be
pledged by the Dealers, Suppliers, Agents etc.
26 No packing, transport, customs clearance, insurance charges or any other
charges, in any form, will be paid by the University in case of any replacement
of instrument / component during the warranty period.
27 Free training to operators at the Department/Section for use of instrument /
items by the dealers.
28 Free warranty service of minimum Five years (OR WHAT SO EVER IS
DECIDED BY THE UNIVERSITY) is to be agreed upon. During warranty
period, free service (if required) without any charges whatsoever is to be
provided by the dealers/suppliers.
29 Dealers shall provide without any charge all operating and service manuals
along with instruments / items.
We agree to abide by all the terms and conditions of rate contract
mentioned in this tender document.
