Digging of 1.2 mtr deep and 0.3 mtr wide trenches in all type of soils, including soft rock as per approved cable route plan and back filling the trench after laying of cables. It includes clearing of roots of trees and bushes and temporary obstructions on the selected cable route, ramming of soil. The item includes covering of laid cables by sieved soil. Where digging of 1.2 mtr 1 depth is not possible or depth is reduced/increased as per instructions given by engineer incharge then payment will be decreased/increased proportionately to the depth of trench. Note: Cable trenching between Station Limit (i.e. from Distant-to-Distant Signals) should be done at distance of 3.0 mtrs(minimum) from centre line of track and Outside Station Limit, cable trenching will be done at distance of 5.5 mtrs(minimum) from centre line of track. If above mentioned minimum distances are not available at site then trenching will be done by contractor as per instructions issued by Site Engineer. Running
Laying of S&T cables of various cores/pairs/quads in trenches/GI Pipes/RCC ducts /DWC/HDPE Pipes/Trunking etc, laying of OFC ducts in trenches as per site requirement and as per approved cable route plan. It also includes laying of cables in track crossing and road crossing. It includes placing of half cut DWC pipes, pre-fabricated ducts and DWC pipes. It also includes 2 provision of labels on each cable of coloured plastic adhesive types or any other identifiable marker to give the cable number at each termination point. The contractor will do meggering of all the cables (main and tail) before laying as well as after laying under the supervision of engineer incharge. Meggering test report of all the cables will be signed jointly by authorized site representative of contractor and site engineer incharge. Note: The length of the cable laid will include length of the cable which have been coiled for termination purpose. Half cut DWC, pre- fabricated ducts and DWC pipes shall be supplied by DFCCIL. Per
Termination of Outdoor Cables (Main Cables / Tail Cables) at both ends in location 3 boxes, cable termination rack in relay room, station building, other room etc. The item includes dressing of cables and wires with dressing threads as per standard practice. All tools required for this termination will be supplied by contractor. The outdoor cable shall be terminated in Relay Room, other Room, ASM Room, Location boxes etc under supervision and instructions issued by Engr. incharge of the work.
All work partaining to horizantal directional drilling (HDD)/Boring and tranchless cableing. It includes supply, transportation and self lubricated HDPE pipe and laying of cables in boring under the track/road by using different sizes of pipes depending on total number of cables will be crossed. The depth of horizontal boring should be minimum 1.2 mtr from rail flange/road 4 level. This item will be used for track crossing of running lines. By using self-lubricated HDPE pipe of 120mm outer dia and 103.5mm inner dia in the bore and laying of cables in the bore under the track/road. The ground level shall be considered ignoring the bank height of the bank of the road. Contractor shall provide all the material required for work and adequate nos of labours for proper laying of cables into the bore. Location box shall be shifted by push method with the help of jacks or by crane by contractors own expenditure under instructions of engineer in-charge at site. The work may affect train working hence the work shall be done as per margin only or during traffic block only.

Item include excavation, ramming, curing and plastering with1:4 cement and sand mixtures. This includes filling 28 up of hollow space in the foundation both sand and top surface, plastering. (Aggregate not exceeding 3.8 cm) Plastering should be done to level the surface on all sides upto 75 mm below the ground level after the cable is taken inside the apparatus case. Aggregate, sand, holding down bolts and cement tube supplied by the contractors. This includes supply and fixing of telephone sockets, location lamp holder and making arrangement for padlocking of location boxes.
Transferring of Signaling/Telecom cables from existing Location box to New Location box . The work include breaking/ Dismantling of Existing foundation of locations, excavating and removing / segregating coils of2C/6C/12C/19C/24C/30C/Quad cables which may be about 10mtrs. in length. These cables are to be disconnected and removed from the existing location one by one as 29 per the instruction and under the supervision of Railway staff present at site. The cable is then to be inserted and terminated in new location box. The item includes neatly dressing of cable, making wiring tree etc. The material required to dressing /lacing will be arrange by contactor. The work is required to be done systematically and with due precaution during the block or disconnection within the time that may be allowed. The excavation work to be done carefully without damaging the cable to avoid undue failure. Note: Proportionate payment will be made if cable of other length. One No unit = One cable of 10 m length)
Supply & installation of Plastic cover for four aspect signal unit/Shunt signal/V type/Numerical route indicator cover opened from front side and bottom side and made of black polythene sheet of 100 micron thickness, of suitable size. On back side 75MM wide corner to cover 30 diagonal cross mark of silver color of 100 micron thickness to be provided. To tie up cover with signal unit suitable nylon rope of 5mm dia and 4 meter length to be provided on front side and of 1.5 mtr length at center. Demounting and Replacement of Wheel Sensor (Track Device) of Multi-Section Digital Axle Counter (MSDAC)/HASSDAC including disconnection and reconnection of tail cable at TLJB/Mushroom. This Includes complete removal of Wheel Sensor [mounted on the rail) along with 31 the tall cable under the rall. The Contractor shall ensure the proper alignment of the Wheel Sensor at the time of mounting the new Wheel Sensor. Wheel sensor shall be supplied by DFCCIL. The Contractor shall bring the new wheel sensor from station/ IMD/ IMSD to site and shall take the old / released wheel sensor from site to station/ IMD/ IMSD. The work shall be completed as per OEM's guidelines and Technical Requirement & Specification under the supervision of DFC site incharge.
Dismantling of existing point fittings, drilling of holes in stock rail/tongue rail/ gauge tie plate, re arrangement and refixing of existing electrical detector and re-fixing of point ground 32 connections including smithy job for welding & termination & wiring of point machine, if required, adjustment, if required and testing as per technical specification and as per instructions of DFCCIL incharge. Drilling can be carried out manually or by using drilling machine as per the site requirement. Drilling machine/manual drilling shall be arranged by the contractor on his own.
